- At least two people, including a child, died in tornadoes that swept through Oklahoma, authorities said Sunday as emergency crews assessed the extensive damage to homes and businesses from the high winds, hail and flooding. (AP)
I live in Oklahoma City and I need to visit the more of my state than I have been. I will make more of an effort to visit my neighbors and support small businesses.
My thoughts and prayers sent from here in Dallas, Texas.
He says people will have a chance to "clean up?" It's far more than that. People are going to have to start the process of putting their lives back together. This is devastating.
Did you know even native Americans knew where to live. They knew the zones of danger. The wind Lands.

Being that praying to the invisible myth has been proven to be so "successful," shouldn't you have prayed for them BEFORE the storm hit?

The two fatalities that were confirmed were NOT in Sulphur but north of it in another small town which also had a major tornado called Holdenville.
Gosh thanks. I lived in Moore for 13 years and was second guessing myself...why have I never heard of Sulphur Oklahoma haha
Holdenville is tiny. Praying for all those touched by these storms.
Oklahoma has always been tornado alley. All the ranch houses had cellars to escape to if it was headed your way. I remember standing around the radio in my grandmothers listening which direction the tornado would go. Also, being reprimanded for making noise preventing the adults from hearing the radio. No tvs then. This was in the 50s or 60s on my grandmothers place in the country outside Mountain View.
Sadly, only some homes have storm cellars.
Sulfur OK was a beautiful town. I love visiting there. When I return I will go there and support their businesses.

Biden laughing during White House correspondents' dinner about anything must be nice for him when people who have lost their homes to tornados need help. Biden can laugh all he wants because his plate is full -- but Americans who are struggling with homelessness, hunger, no income, and so on are not laughing about anything.

Of course we do and yes, the houses are built to a tornado standard. But you underestimate the level of damage and destruction of tornadoes. Several of the buildings that were severely damaged in this tornado were concrete and brick buildings. Everything gets destroyed if the tornado is big enough.

Building codes have been updated for NEWER homes & buildings. However, familiarize yourself with wind speeds on the EF scale. These codes are only helpful, not fail proof, up to an EF 2 tornado. We experience much worse, here in OK.

Jesus Christ! How can God allow a 4 month old infant baby to die especially in such a scary horrific death!!!????!!!
That baby won't have to see what this world is really like and most likely didn't suffer and in heaven for a reason it's sad but better than having to suffer. It is horrible.
We have no idea why these things happen. Satan runs this world, and I notice that not one person is blaming him. God has given us free will and will judge everyone on Judgment Day.
