Omg I’m rereading The Dud Avocado right now! I never reread books, but it’s been a bit. Sally Jay Gorce is a standout, multifaceted character. Clever writing. I love the voice. Oh and I was visiting the Frederick area to go on the Towpath for a bike ride to Harper’s ferry. We stopped in Magpie! Omg. I’m probably around the age of your mom and I LOVE that she got her nose pierced with you!
It is a great read so far! I love that you enjoyed Magpie. If you want to get your nose pierced, you should - as soon as my mom looked at herself in the mirror she said, "wow, I can't believe I didn't do this sooner!"
Your knitting is awesome. You really get through a lot of yarn so don’t be too hard on yourself! I currently have enough yarn to last me more than a lifetime and a half. 😂 I’ve radically slowed my yarn purchases but if I say I won’t buy any, I’m kidding myself and I’m likely to rebel and splurge!!❤ ❤
Hey Emma, I have a tv recommendation for you. Have you watched We are Lady Parts? I think you'd like it! And a Goodreads tip- It's so helpful to make a dnf (did not finish) category. The book is still in your stuff but you can clear it out of the TBR.
I have not seen that yet - thank you for the suggestion! And that's a great idea. DNF is also an acronym in running...that's what you say if you drop out of a race :)
Pretty much never...it did snow a tiny little bit in January this year and it was cold enough that it stayed on the ground for a whole week! It does snow on occasion in Jan-Feb but it almost always melts on impact because it's not really cold enough.
That vest fair isle pattern and colors are gorgeous! ❤.
I enjoy your long episodes. Thank you!
Classic “it’s the hottest time of the year so I’m knitting fair isle” emma
I'm committed to my brand

That is helpful to know! It's not just me. But I do feel like I need to give some attention to the back of the stash!
Carnivorous plants, the ones with sticky leaves, do a good job on fruit flies for me :) Also, spiders.
That is a great idea!
Try dish soap with the apple cider vinegar

A non-knitting question for you! Which months does it snow in Baltimore? My son is considering college options. 😊
