Same deal as with Matt Allen's cam in 2016. You can see that these guys take absolute pleasure in what they do... only you can see it better in this angle. This has to be one of the best snare cams of all time.
This is the most beautiful run I've ever seen. So much pride, elation and hard work, and getting this one last run to let it all out. The moment in the back corner of the field when the battery is one one knee... it was getting dusty in here.
This is my new favorite video on the internet. Not only do I love this show so much but the genuine emotion and dedication that these guys show is so inspiring. I love all of the little talks that they have before and during the show.
I had this band winning ever since they broke the blue devils win streak at broken arrow!!!! And I called the shots before finals saying It was obvious that they would win. They will win for sure. And If they keep their win streak going up, They will be as good as the blue devils. And potentially reach a new record of 22 DCI Titles!!!! This is my favorite band of all time!!!
Appreciate the final run of the season for the champs, but I really feel like DCI should return to the 80s and 90s when all finals corps played America medley. Even if it was some other song or music, but everyone had a chance to play one more time. Regardless, great season BLOOOOOOOOOOOOOO. GREAT show concept and execution (coming from a Phan). Look forward to seeing what is done next season!
As a saxophone player, I don't know how to feel watching DCI. I love the shows and would love to be in this, but woodwinds aren't eligible and it'd be very difficult to transition to a brass instrument now. Also, I know that with some people the 12hrs a day can be mentally damaging but I think I'd be fine I'm just worried about going from a woodwind to a brass instrument and being good enough to qualify in just 5 years 😅
Try switching to percussion, I'm a clarinetist and also want to participate in DCI. The problem was I hated playing brass instruments. After half a year of feeling bad about it, I decided to pick up some sticks and learn tenor drums. Fortunately, I'm quite well inclined towards percussion and absolutely love it. I even made tenors my first year in my school's drumline after just 4 and a half months (I practiced for almost 5 hours a day over the summer). I'm not close to DCI caliber, but I'm infinitely closer than I was when I played a woodwind. TL:DR give percussion a shot, it takes more time than other instruments but very well could be worth it.
Anything is possible, and you're not limited to brass. I was also a saxophone player, and in just two years I'm playing snare in my college drumline. College and dci are two different things of course, but you can do a lot in 5 years.
As a brass player I know the switch seems jarring but you can probably learn fast enough so I'd say just go for it. If you make it, hell ya man🤙. If not, oh well. I also know people who've made the transition pretty fast so if it means anything from a random internet stranger, you got this.
@@FylinB563 I wouldn't recommend them switching to percussion. Percussion has the most competition when it comes to DCI, especially when it comes to the battery. I'd be way easier to switch to a brass instrument. Of course it depends on when you start, but if you're picking up percussion late, then it would be extremely hard to make a line. some people i know who've been practicing since middle school have been cut from lines.
@@benjaminpastora7483 you have an infinitely higher chance in percussion than you do as a woodwind. Besides, proper dedication, effort, and commitment can seriously get you very far. No one worth their salt ever said this activity was easy
Okay can someone please tell me what they’re chanting at 6:10, I have been listening to it over and over, but I just can’t quite make out what they’re saying. Also great video btw
