It's interesting that the beautiful Sophie, Duchess of Edinborough regularly goes on Royal tours as a strong, independent woman.
Our Meghan, the feminist, strong would be president, goes on her faux tour clinging to her husband, screeching, "hand". 😄😁🤣
" screeching hand"😅😅😅
That woman is totally embarrassing.
I think that’s also because Sophie is a real royal and welcome on her own. Markle only gets invitations if her husband is there. Without him, she wouldn’t get invited anywhere.
Wearing next to nothing!!
Interesting that the Paramount CEO drove, Oprah drove, but the Harkles needed a driver and security!!
Paramount CEO, TV host/mogul vs Prince of the Realm. 😂
Their need for constant security is all in their heads … their entitled sense of self importance …what a joke 🃏
I don't believe they were there!
Well, H doesn't have IPP, so cannot dodge a drinking/drug test while driving
Neither probably know how to drive.
😂 I just love how Meghan The Manslayer blows off Harry's birthday to celebrate Tyler's
Did she? Where are the pictures? I think we have another announcement without proof.
@@janetblack4215Don't you think she would have leaked it by now if she did organise something? It's her MO, always.
She would have to pay for Harry's bash it is cheeper to gatecrash Tyler Perrys party
@@mairiwhyte4232 Heard she was not at Tyler's party.
Well she did say she was organising a bash for H with his friends. It never happened, because if it had she would have posted pictures all over the media.
Harry was seen leaving Tyler Perry’s party taking photographs of the photographers. They weren’t chasing him, they were at someone else’s house for someone else’s party. Harry - crazy as a box of frogs 🫣
Was it really Harry though? You could barely make out the outline of his face.
Being truthful wouldn’t stop him from using those photos to claim ‘They are ALL AFTER ME!!!’
More pictures for his "Free Security" war on the British people.
My favourite expression is a crazy as a frog in a sock!! 😂😂
He crazy to appear as pap ambush famous as the dear prince & princess of Wales.
The carparkles can only dream of that level attention
Sophie has always been an asset to the RF and a naturally nice, genuine person.
The Duchess of Edinburgh is wonderful. What an asset to the Royal Family she is and has been.
I agree, love seeing them as a family of four also. They seem so happy to be together.
Dear River, she's "competent" because the part she played of a very classless stroppy paralegal is exactly like her in real life. No big challenge there.
I think River is being generous describing Rachel's acting ability as competent. She got the role in "Suits" through her ex-husband, not because she had any talent. She was a nobody on the global stage until she and Henry began dating.
She just played herself. There was no acting involved. That's why she never made it any further and had actually been written out of the show. She was only in each episode for approximately 1 minute and 44 seconds.
Yes! Once they found out she was a foodie they wrote it into the script. It took off from there. Rachel Zane is based on Meghan Markle
@@MarciaLiskenot true! She really did have a fan base because of Suits but she never rose to the popularity of the rest of the cast
@@mezzamuddleI saw her in one of my favorite shows “ Fringe”. I think it was when there was a conflict with Anna Torv. She fell flat. She was quite wooden so it’s absolutely true she was good in Suits because she was playing herself
I have tremendous respect for Sophie. She gets the job done in an exemplary way with no fame seeking, superiority, resentment or artifice.
And Sophie takes care of it all on her own. No husband to cling onto. Just a very strong woman doing her duty.
OMG, I'm flashing back to the 80s with River's gorgeous ensemble today! Stunning tiara!
"you can see her teeth from space" = belly laugh time 😂😂😂😂
Oven roasted potatoes - one of the best tastes in the world. Maybe I'll give a roast dinner a try when the weather cools down here in California. My father was a fantastic cook and his roast dinners were a treat. Thanks, River, for awakening some happy memories.❤
If you do try it, lard for the potatoes after a parboil and rough up by bashing about and a light forking. This allows for the best crisp. S & P and fine chopped parsley, indivual yorkshire puddings with beef fat and lard heated hot before pouring well rested batter in the HOT muffin tin. Prime rib, medium rare, parsnips roasted with carrots, lightest drizzle of honey. Buttered peas
Love your tiara!
Sunday Roast w/my Mama in Texas was the most precious memory. Delicious, simpler time it was.
River you are looking more glamorous with each broadcast. Your vintage finds are treasures indeed. Sophie Duchess of Edinburgh is a wonderful asset for the RF. She seems like a true lady with a lot of empathy. My Welsh gran used to do a delicious Sunday Roast and all her family came every Sunday. It was a great weekly get together. Life was much simpler then and respectful.💖
I wonder if they had a big freak off party like Diddy😂😂hilarious
I don't believe that they were the guests of honour and the fact that TP's birthday overshadowed this one's birthday speaks volumes 😊
OMG… absolutely stunning look today, River! Gorgeous!
Thank you again River, you make me laugh, some of your sayings are quite hilarious.Stay safe.🇳🇿
River your discourse on the Sunday roast was so welcome and so heartwarming and so delicious to listen to. I live in Idaho USA and we have a friend from Great Britain who is nearing 80, it makes me want to invite them over for a Sunday afternoon roast. We no longer gather in the long evenings over pints of beer, dinner and scotch. I would love nothing better than to serve him up a nice memory and to also refresh my skills at my own Minnesota mothers “Sunday dinner”. You did giveaway a little secret about your grandmother using lard and her potatoes. I’ve used that in piecrust and it makes a huge difference, but never end roasted potatoes. Thank you, Granny. ❤. until next time…
Yes, and I think she uses what we call ‘beef dripping’ on the potatoes too x
I laugh out loud every time you say Princess Lilibet in such a comical way!!
You are a treasure💝
A Sphinx cat is hairless, or a Chinese crested, or Poodle (Poodles don't shed) ❤
Neither do Yorkies 😊 they don't have fur they have hair 💕 I've had many over the years😊
I do love Princess Ann but wish she would try a new hairstyle. Sunday roast was also a big part of US history esp since you could put it in the oven and leave. Regional differences included chicken, lamb, gumbo, pasta, but it was de riguer for Sundays often followed by a nap or quiet play. We sometimes had pancakes for supper as my parents didn't deem them hearty enough for breakfast. Now families eat in their rooms or on a stool. Such a shame to lose this tradition.
You look Stunning today!
As far as the weekend party for Mr Tyler and H&M are concerned they are trying so hard to be relevant, but they look pathetic and sad.
On to the Duchess of Edinburgh who is simply marvelous. She is so gracious and empathetic. Most lovely lady.
You continue to be the best ❤🏴🇬🇧🇺🇸
Oh my......Sunday Roast and Yorkshire Pudding sounds and looks amazing!!! I am from the states but I do have English roots.....the weather is starting to turn, I'm going to have to make one.....I will bet your Grandmother's Roast dinner would be a lovely treat!!! Oh my ❤ the goodness!
Darling River, always on top form. Un abbraccio forte.❤
LOVE this outfit, River, especially the tiara!
Interestingly enough, We here in the U.S., also enjoy a Sunday Roast Dinner!! Growing up every Sunday @ 2pm. After Church originally, we would sit down to a fabulous feast !! Some family's did this other's did not.
My husband lived in England and his neighbor called it the "Sunday joint".
Birthday season is upon us. My birthday is next week! 😂😂
Something is a bit strange about that Tyler Perry, he’s a bit too Oprahish.
Lmao at the Lacy Cesque shuffling in the beginning
If you look at the things that have been happening recently from the point of view that h&m are completely over (and at war) then things start to make a lot more sense.
Love the show River ❤
Have a splendid weekend River!
What a delightful story about Sunday roasts. It was always a thing with my family even here in Eastern Canada, if my father was home to cook it. He was an airline pilot and away a fair bit, but when he was home, oh my. I always think of the line from the Moody Blues song from On the Threshold of a Dream... "Lazy day, Sunday afternoon, like to get your feet up, watch tv. Sunday roast is something good to eat, must be lamb today cos beef was last week!"🎵🎶
My family and I were eager to experience our first Sunday roast in London last year and we were not disappointed. We had to depend on YT for reviews and landed on the roast at Blacklock. It’s a beautiful tradition that you Brits have, seeing family on the weekend and sharing a meal with them. If Meghan had spent more time in England with eyes open, her life would have been enriched by the traditions of her husband’s country. Sadly, she has dollar signs in her eyes, blinding her to the value of family.
River you are beautiful 🎉🎉🎉
River darling, thank you for this scrumptious treat for our eyes. Between the sublime images of those many roasts and your divine visage, you’ve given me a veritable feast that I’ll likely enjoy a number of times over. Not in a creepy way, mind you. lol.
Meghan is either clapping out if tune or smiling at no one…. I guess this was Harry’s birthday party at someone else’s party 😂
Thank you so much River, your description of the differences in your family's Sunday roasts reminded me so much of my own family. Especially the differences in my grandparents, who came from very different parts of the US. I miss them dearly, and remember the differences fondly, and how it impacted my own little family experience growing up as an only child. Decades later, my husband and I try to make Sunday lunch something special. Also, Joan Collins is my spirit animal, lol. Much love to you, and you look FANTASTIC in blue!
Another "freak out" party. Now all associated with P Diddy are disgusting🌲🇺🇲
Sophie is a lucky woman this week. She got to go to Arusha.
When I try to work out where home was, Arusha comes to mind.
It's where I learned to walk and talk, and where I started school. It is also where I used to ride a giant tortoise.
Sophie offers a reassuring example of how a proper duchess conducts her duties with grace.
Sophie is fantastic. She also loved The late Queen Elizabeth & Prince Philip very much. She showed her love through her actions. She actually love her husband very much too & her Country. I adore Sophie. ❤🇬🇧🇺🇸
Agree. The Duchess of Gloucester always looks very elegant also, and appears to be engaged with the people she meets.
Markle is not a "proper" Duchess and never has been. She is a nobody.
The royal family function so well without harry and his wife!
They were functioning very well BEFORE Rachel’s arrival. The Royal family gave her fame, a task , money , privileges that Catherine never got, 30 million dollar wedding , aides, offered training and she failed miserably. She fell flat on her face and then had the audacity to label the Family and the UK nation racist! Cannot make this up!😡
They have done for a THOUSAND years, markle is not even a full stop on one of the pages of our history books. As you should have noticed before NOW. 🏴🇬🇧
And how delicious that there hate-fuelled, deranged allegations and accusations have had bu one effect: to make the Royal Family ever more popular‼️ 😊😅😂🤣😊
@@mordrethboehm4818 I do wonder if the stress Markle and hubby caused with their lies contributed to the ill health of King Charles and Princess Catherine.
@@mythoughts7755 I've had cancer, cured thankfully. I'm certain mine was caused through stress. I am absolutely convinced, the King's and Catherine, our beautiful princess was caused by the wicked witch!
And Sophie did not have to expose herself to get attention. She looked modestly but well dressed.
Sophie and Kate have class and understand the game. Meghan is inately tacky and rather dumb.
Those teeth were brighter than the Range Rover's headlights. And no one else had security with them. What a pair of self-importance rubes.
Oprah drove her own car...
Everybody is out to get them NOT. Maybe if she behaved better she’d worry less about being mowed down by crazy people ( or disgruntled ex employees perhaps?).
And I’m sure that Perry has his own security there since he lent it to them when he lent one of his mansions to them. 😮
I wonder if there have been any credible threats that have actually been directed toward them or their (?) children…..one would think H or M would have mentioned if there were as they attempt to get funded security, but there has never been anything untoward mentioned( except for the catastrophic car chase that only occurred in H’s head)
Bless you to whomever it was who liked my comment before I saw the need to edit it. (Never dictate after putting Orajel on your gums or teeth!)
1:55...is Henry holding up a camera? And do tell, who sits in the back seat of a car in the extremely "tee hee hee" pose that Rachel has adopted for this ride? Isn't it marvelous how both of them seem to always manage to look ridiculous, no matter what the circumstances.
She had to have her face completely in the shot so we can all see her expensive teeth and plastered on smile (I'm ready for my close-up Mr DeMille)
And she puts her hand up like that so we can see her stupid ring (that was "perfect" except now it's version #4) 🙄
Yep 👍🏽
I think that's a dash cam attached to the passenger side visor.
@@notever_everytime5074 Yes the dash cam is clearly visible but if you look to the side and back of the front passengers head you will see Harry is holding a camera up to film!

Those two are delusional. Please disappear from the public eye. Love to the RF from the USA!
Poor Meghan always will be vulgar.
Typo, no sympathy for megain
Harry not vulgar? Harry started in the crib with being vulgar, that is devoid of respeting others. "I remember a moment of Harry as a four-year-old, travelling down to Gloucester one weekend. "He and his brother had an argument in the back seat of the car being refereed by the nanny. And in the end, Harry said: 'You'll be King one day, I won't. Therefore, I can do what I want!'" Wharfe added that the comment left Diana shocked and unsure why Harry had said it. He said: "Diana said 'Where the hell did he get that from?" You Diana. Charles Rae explained that Diana’s nicknames for her sons reflected how she thought Harry could make a better monarch. He said, “Diana dubbed Harry GKH (Good King Harry) because she thought he would have been better equipped for the role as a future king.” “It was also used to make Harry feel that extra special,” Rae added. As for Diana’s nickname for William? “Both she and Charles referred to William as Wombat when he was much younger,” Rae said, adding, “It was given to him by Diana.”
Harry is a bore depending on others from childhood to care for him, run the gauntlet, cover up the drunken brawls, disappointingly dim, spineless, and even worse, his appointments as a representative to armed forces for the Crown, it starts with Harry, a cheat at Eton to enter Sandhurst, dancing in a suggestive way to bully to a disabled matron for his classmates, a punk to commandeer a Typhoon fighter jet costing $124 million of taxpayers money while he was a Captain in the armed forces to prank his father buzzing his car while on the road with no consequences (in the United States that would be an immediate court martial followed by a dishonorable discharge), a drinker and certainly no one believes drugs are not part of his regular recreation. I do not want a liar, a cheat, a person protected from early childhood and lead to believe he had superior character addressing the women and men serving, that have served, and have given the ‘last full measure’ for their country handing out medals or even addressing our fighting forces. Yes, the Harry his mum Diana referred to as “GKH” (Good King Harry) has been told from infancy he is to expect preference and deference, so much for being “just Harry” as the previous royal said was his quest. Meanwhile, Harry’s mum referred to William as ‘the wombat’.
I would have loved to be the proverbial fly on the wall around the Princess Royal Anne and the late Philip, Duke of Edinburgh.
Harry is ready for the exorcism, and he really needs residence in the UK to preserve his tax status. Of course, Harry in the UK will need taxpayer funded security--which will extend to Meghan (whether she uses it or not) and the children. Harry will become the focus of the media 24/7/365 looking for troubled brows among the working royals. Prince William and has family will be deluged with inquiries. So, Harry back on the balcony?
I VERY much doubt Megaliar will NEVER be allowed back into the BRF, Haznobrains may be welcomed back by his father but he'd have to do rehabilitation first, then he'd not be a working Royal ever again. The King is aware that Haznobrains had over cooked himself for good‼️💯👍🇦🇺🦘🇦🇺🦘

As an American, Tyler Perry's movie roles, particularly with Perry playing Madea, going on to invest in huge media operations. Tyler Perry, like Oprah Winfrey, are no billionaires and of little interest in the US as individuals. Perry certainly has the resources to put Meghan in movies and television--and there is a good reason he has not, whatever his choice to champion Harry and Meghan, Mr Perry does not lose money or put his name on guaranteed failure.
Who would want Perry’s nasty untalented mug anywhere near the palace?
Low quality trash movies about chicken and people farting.

When I was young, a few weeks before my wedding, I stood at the bus stop chatting to a lovely older lady who told me to buy a perfume for my wedding that I've never worn before. Ah the Sunday roast. Like a Christmas dinner every week. We had ours in the evening not lunchtime so I had to wait until after Sunday School. Usually roast beef or roast chicken. Mum roasted her potatoes in the chip pot, so they were nice and crispy outside. Then there was always a lovely dessert, usually involving some type of apple and custard, maybe a tart or a crumble. Then you'd sleep it off in front of Antiques Roadshow in front of the fire. Bliss! Still in my Sunday best, patent shoes, a pretty dress and my hair down in long loose curls. Sunday roast in our house was certainly a religious experience for my poor mother, who absolutely hated cooking. Every Sunday she would open the oven door and exclaim 'Jesus Christ!' at whatever creation was lurking inside. She regularly invoked Our Lord throughout the week during preparation of food, but it made no difference. Her culinary skills - or lack of them - were legendary. Curry night on a Monday with the Sunday roast left-overs was particularly hazardous. So hot we would all be sitting there with our eyes and noses streaming and shovelling down banana slices to combat the heat. We all ate what was put in front of us without complaint though, bless her.
Love the memories of your Mum's culinary adventures. You have great writing skills and ought to write a book, illustrated short stories at least. Thanks for the heartwarming recollections.
Love it!
@Shampoo My mom did the same thing! “Jesus Christ” was heard from our kitchen at least once daily. 😂 My mom couldn’t cook either. If you aren’t in the US, you may not understand what I’m going to say next. When Hamburger Helper first appeared on the grocery shelves of course my mom bought it. I thought I had died and gone to heaven! I loved it! I begged her to buy every available flavor! 😂🤣😂🇺🇸❤️🇬🇧
Haha! That tickled me and reminded me of my mum’s ‘culinary skills’ too . She once used Weetabix in place of sponge for a trifle base hoping we wouldn’t notice ( it was still bone dry 😆) and even managed to cock up powdered mash on occasions ! 😂.
This made me laugh so much! My mom thought recipes were just "ideas"- we never had any of the ingredients in the fancy ones she'd pick & just make..."creative" substitutions. The only thing she COULD make was beef pot roast in the pressure cooker. She was terrified it would explode, everytime, so I was sent outside to play until it was "safe" to return. 😂
Ooooh I can’t wait to hear this - and take in the vision of your latest ensemble ❤

Why, every time I see Harry smiling in a picture these days, does it look like he's smirking. I'm sure he never looked this way in pictures when he lived here. He puts my back up every time I see that smug grin!
@FeeOzymandias-j9t WHO IS THAT NEVER HEARD OF THAT NAME EVER 😂😂😂✔️
He’s look high or something.
@FeeOzymandias-j9t Like a lot of people, I cannot stand the sight of the traitorous weasel and YES, when not scowling he does look smug. Certainly delusional and oozing with self-importance, encapsulated by his seeing himself as a Dragon Slayer, and describing himself as the best person in the world to slay these “dragons”. 🦇💩crazy‼️
I'm salivating over the talk of roasts and the memory they conjure up. Not only of the food but also of the family gatherings. My mum is 89 and no longer able to prepare the meals I so love. Even though I used to watch her preparations my attempts can not equal hers. 😢
You should be cooking it for her. :)
Thank you for covering Sophie's trip. The Duke and Duchess of Edinburgh are coming here to Malta next month. I hope to get a glimpse.
River, I'm from the Southern US. My grandparents and mother cooked in lard and with real butter. The food was the best! I still cook with butter and oil now as needed. I don't skim off all the fat from meat, either. We also use full fat milk.
My mother had a dripping bowl and we used to have dripping sandwiches she lived to a good old age
@@LynCollier-jq4si My dad used to make something called ‘dirty bread’ at family BBQ’s. He’d roast a piece of pork belly on a time over the flames and the drippings were put on a slice of fresh rye bread with raw onions. All the ‘old folks’ loved it. As a kid, I thought it was gross! He’s been gone 30 years. How I wish he was here and we could share some ‘dirty bread’ 💔
Oh River you did make me laugh! Ding dong ‘Oh no! I’ve got to go to the door like this!’
Oh Sunday roast, I love it. I don't have it very much now, as I'm on my own, the kids have all left home. I love swede!
I make a Sunday roast, and freeze it into meals, to defrost and heat in the microwave later. Works well. Enjoy
@@lesleymitchell8067 that's a good idea, thanks Lesley.
Canadian here. I actually have to Google what swede is. NO clue whatsoever.
Oh I love mashed swede with lots of butter and pepper. From Australia.@lesleymitchell8067
I don’t believe this party thing . Show me the receipts. I want to see H & M actually at that party . Hobnobbing with the rich and famous . WHERE ARE THE PICS.!
She probably just arranged a drive past and got the paps to catch them.
American here. Really enjoyed your comments about Sunday Roast. That was the joy of the week for me, coming home from church service and smelling that gorgeous roast in the oven! I'm sure we do it differently here than y'all do in UK but is seems to be a very popular tradition in many countries. We always had a large roast with potatoes and carrots cooked in the roast juices. Mother usually had peas with it and a lovely gravy. I liked having the leftovers on Monday for supper, she usually made a stew with the meat, veggies and gravy. I continued the tradition but sadly mine was never quite as good as hers. As with so many things mom's was the best!
Dame Taylor Perry needs to be checked out wether he is part of Sean Combs aka P Diddy celebrity circle. Now wouldn’t this be interesting. Especially for a prince called Harry.
What about Oprah and Weinstein and Sean Combs friendship?
River I love when you read comments from Fruits-in-the-Know. Thank you!! 🍊🍍🍎
