I worked with Brian on the ‘Black Ice’ tour in 2008 and he used to often talk to me about cars which went right over my head! Nicest fella you could ever meet !
That's the first and only time I saw them live in Dublin. Does Angus play that solo for 10 to 15 minutes at every gig, incredible, imagine the pressure on you to perform that?
Few men have walked into a tougher situation then the one Brian Johnson walked into in 1980. Fewer still have handled an almost impossible situation like that with the class, dignity, and respect that Brian Johnson has for over 30 years now.
Agreed. Never an ounce of friction or conflict between the Bon Scott years and Brians era. An unfortunate event, losing Bon, that led to, fortunately, ...finding the best possible person, to help the boys continue and move on, while all of them showed reverence, class and respect to Bons legacy. I love both singers equally. Remember, it was Bon who dragged the boys out to see Brian sing, because he loved his voice and stage presence, never realizing he'd discovered the guy who would replace him, after his tragic passing. AC/DC are in the upper upper echelon of all time rock icons, if not the very top! And they have the coolest band name ever!
Brian IS a good guy! And one of the most charming and tells the best, funniest stories. I love when I run into him here in Sarasota and he say, "Me darlin'...how the f*ck are ya?!! Kinda like a pirate...it's endearing and cracks me the f*ck up.
Met Brian in the City Tavern Newcsatle. He had a pint with group of us standing. Nice bloke he was. He had something on his mind. A few days later he was ACDCs new singer.
This guy has untold millions from AC/DC, and he's tooling around in a vintage Airstream trailer. Simply awesome. Just goes to tell you, you never know who you'll meet at a KOA campground. :)
He was 32 when he started with AC/DC in 1980 after Bon Scott died ... he definitely has what it took and it all seemed to work out pretty good 😌 he really does seem like a nice guy ..
When you think of Brian joining the band like he did and taking them to the top for years, ya gotta understand he saved the band like no one else could..Look at The Doors, when Jim Morrison died no one came in to keep them going, and they were one of the top 5 bands in the world at the time..So we're all lucky Brian took over and kept them going...
If you front a band who wrote the song "thunderstruck" ..... You fuckin deserve to race every single race car...... And win. Honestly, what a humble and friendly person. Long live Brian Johnston
+Alberta West Plumbing They really are a great bunch of people. I live in Sarasota where he has home. My ex poured their driveway for the house. We had a BBQ with them when we were all done
@@gracievanover7363 How cool is that? I bet there was no edge on them all being totally down to Earth? Tom Jones is the same when he had painters come and do his huge home!
Thats true sir! But i was thinking about one thing! Finland is a small country with 5,5 million or so and they have 3 Formula one champions but the great Australia have "only" 2 of them? Correct me if im wrong! :)
im a die hard AC/DC fan, and i got tell yah! its so strange finally seeing brenda! i swear this is the only footage ive seen of her! ive always read about her in their books and articles! buh never seen her :) kinda cool!
I know some people who have done the meet and greets after shows and say they are the nicest guys in the world. Brian is a very cool person to be around!
I went to see AC/DC years ago and it remains the best concert I ever went to see. I wouldn't say they are my absolute favorite band or even favorite band I went to see necessarily, but it was like a 3+ hour explosion of energy. I am not sure Angus ever stopped. He seemed like a rocket motor you couldn't turn off once you started it. So nice years later to see what a cool guy he is.
He is hilarious. I was watching an old interview w/ him the other night & he was talking about his first show w/ the band. He was nervous & sang the same lyrics for both of the first two songs. He said the people in the audience were giving him weird looks that said, "Ah. This guy must be avant-garde rock 'n roll." LMFAO, I almost died.
I sang the shit out of Thunderstruck one night at kereoke and made people happy. That was for you Brian. One of my first memories was about 1985 during one of Moms parties. Guess who was blasting.
So jealous but then again I've never remotely exelled at anything while this guy has pure talent and ACDC are the best blues/rock/hard rock and roll band that has ever graced an audience.Love them all RIP Bon Scott and Malcolm Young
No need to be jealous mater, you just haven;t tried enough things to find what you excel at. It could be anything fishing, throwing law darts, target shooting, drawing ,painting or even giving speechse on what you now and love!
AC/DC and Brian rule! I just got my drivers license Brian! Maybe one day if we can meet maybe you can teach me to race! And how to be a killer musician! I wanna learn the guitar cause of AC/DC! I know Brian’s a singer but he’s a big part of AC/DC as Angus is!
They should have hired him to host Top Gear. He would have been perfect in the role. He's a lovable character, buckets of personality and knows how to drive a high performance car. With his racing experience, he'd probably give a pretty decent review of cars too.
He was a great guest on it over 10 years ago when Clarkson had him interview on the couch about doing the star in a reasonably priced car, they had a ball!
Hi Brian , Dj Dan the Man here in your home town ... met your wife 1 time at wolfe camera. such a wonderful lady.. I played your music from 85-2005 in clubs all around florida big fan and always will be... also friend of mary suter... from the cabana days... keep on rockin.
With respect, Mr. Johnson, theres nothing wrong with fishing. It's a lot of fun especially when you catch fish with every cast. And the tournaments are fun too. Keep on rocking the world though, you and the rest of the guys are great! God bless you and AC/DC.
Exactly! There was soooo much pressure on Brian going into Back in Black to live up to Bon and boy did he knock it out of the park. I don't think he ever thinks of himself as Bon's replacement.
I know that, and I understand that while fishing is a fun outdoor activity, not everyone is cut out for it. I was merely pointing out fun things about fishing that I enjoy myself and that Mr. Johnson could enjoy too, if he ever tried it.
Brian is 5 feet 5 inches tall, but he has a voice like a giant. He just seems like the nicest guy. He's so kind, funny, and humble.
Brain Johnson just seems like the most humble person!
Any guy who can go from hawking Hoovers to filling Bon Scott's shoes can't be all bad!
I worked with Brian on the ‘Black Ice’ tour in 2008 and he used to often talk to me about cars which went right over my head!

This is why Brian is a god , he honestly believed he had to introduce himself

Remember Bon saw Brian sing in concert and suggested to the band if anything happened to him that's his replacement.
