I made up 6 tips on how to have a date with yourself: 1. Take a bath with bubbles in the quiet, and maybe some music in the background! 2. Put on some warm, fuzzy pajamas to snuggle in. 3. Make yourself a nice sweet treat just for you. 4. Go outside with a blanket, place the blanket on the ground (maybe more than one since the grass can poke through sometimes), and lay on the blanket. 5. Listen to some music, maybe with headphones/earbuds to make it more private. 6. Finally.... rest, and let yourself be free to just fall asleep doing so.
I ABSOLUTELY LOVE your videos. I love that kind of rudimentary special effects and cardboard motion graphics, the beautiful sceneries and your naive fashion sense. I love every little detail in your videos.
A while ago I went to Frankfurt to learn German. It was the first time I was alone in a foreign country for a prolonged time, and it felt scary and overwhelming. At the time, I hated it. But every night, before going to bed, I used to go to the rooftop (it was a pretty high building) and, for an hour or so, I'd admire the lights of the city, reading, listening to music, and so forth. Lately I found myself thinking about those lonely nights more and more. I truly miss them. I hope that someday, sometime, I'll be able to go there once more.
I don't even know where to begin...who are your parents? Oh my goodness, I just want to hug them and say thank you for guiding you into this world. We need you so much. I wept, (the ugly cry) when I found your video on Facebook announcing your second season. You are me....I only wish I had your courage and sense of wow at your age. I am still trying to give myself permission to be that free. My heart sang with Joy as I wept trying to watch your video's I am that way as well. You are the first one ever seen in my 40 some years my dear to be so free. Thanks for showing me that I am not alone. I fell into the trap so many years ago and each day I attempt to get back out and lift my wings and soar with others like yourself. Don't ever change. You are loved. xo thank you, SoulPancake thank you for creating and sharing such content. Much love. xo
Some reason I started to cry while watching this... I think the reason is today I had a bad day and no reason I just did and this really helped I know I can always count on you to make me feel happy and not alone xx
Because of this video, I've found my escape in joining the UA-cam community as a creator, and I've just let loose probably the most productive amount of creativity in my entire life. So thank you.
I grew up surrounded by creative people, my parents are artists and so are their friends. But seriously you are one of the most inspiring and creative people i've ever seen.
I watch these because my name is sonia and i feel so connected to everything she says. It is as if she is reading my own personal thoughts on placing them in this creative video to inspire me to move from thought to action. Thanks Sonia! (even though it feels like i am thanking myself lol)
sonia is my favourite person. shes so creative, and she is so relatable and she helps me a lot with any stress, or just how to be happy. I love you so much sonia! thank you
Sonia this video brought tears to me, it really touched my heart. I'm not exactly sure why I cried but I think its because everything you said is so true.
I am not able to describe how much you amaze me with your videos. You're a huuuuuge inspiration for me 🌸 I'll definitely come back to this video, thank you Sonia 💛
I'm going to use this for a quick write inspiration for my 6th graders here in Hong Kong - they're learning English as a Second Language. Creativity inspires creativity!
Nice one Sonia! Some say the best cure for a bad day is to do something for someone else. You did something for all of us all today. Thanks. I kinda feel like its my turn now...
This really helped me. I went out and just sat in the sun, listening to "What a wonderful world" by Louis Armstrong and feeling a bit blue. I almost fell asleep. It was so soothing and healing. Thank you c:
such a great video I can relate it to this ... the feeling when you can't breath but have no choice but being positive is like lost in the echo. I love your creativity
this is pure gold. so lovely to see, relaxing, creative... omg, i just love it! congratulations sonia: beautiful, beautiful job, can't wait to see what's to come
Such beautifully creative and amazing visuals! Love everything about this =D I think my top three feel goods that you mentioned were the sunlight, windows, and dancing w/music ones. They never fail to turn a day around :)
When I do my school homework's late at night, I will be sad and always wants freedom. But no one wants to get scold by teacher, I listen to music and sing along, and I always have my smile on. I normally listened to "Night Is Still Young" by Nicki Minaj, I can't really help my habit on doing homework's late at night, listening to that song makes me think that my night is still early and young. I smile when I listen to that music.
I really enjoyed your video. :) I just recently started putting on head phones and tuning out all the negativity around me, it works great! Thank you for sharing that info, I'm sure it will help someone.
I believe that inspiration is the perfect tool for empowering our minds and our creativity, and Sonia is my best source inspiration. Thank you so so so much for being amazing. ^_^
I love your videos your such a unquic person theirs not a lot on people like you in a good way and I'm totally like you sunlight charges me I need to be around it 💯
Sonia!! I love your videos and the way that you take on life! I was wondering if I could use your silly things cover in a video I'll be making soon (with credit of course). Keep on creating girl!
I think that if you're trying to escape yourself - and often when I *really* need to escape, it's from myself -, these things can have the opposite effect because they're all still you by yourself. I think the solution to that is to be with someone else, but that's easier said than done. Sometimes when I'm with someone to escape myself, I still fail to escape myself somehow. "Using" someone's company has to be done right. I think it would be a really interesting thing to explore in a video?. If nothing else, then just to discuss the ethical dilemma of being with someone mainly to *not* be with yourself? Anyhow, I bloody love the video. Excellent points, words, and visuals, and excellent execution :D
It's awesome that you can spark inspirations within yourself and other people with your creativity Sonia! :) and may I know what kind of headphone you use? :D xo
I dont know why but something that helps me escape is sitting in my bedroom with my lights off but my star projector on (it basically makes the room look like a galaxy😂) and I just sort of sit there and mess around with my shadows. I also like going in my garden at night because everything just seems peacful and since most people are inside, I can do whatever without embarrassing myself😊❤️✌️️
