I think the system for big tournaments is usually the following: The first song is selected by player A, the second by player B and the third song is random.
This video is like 2 or 3 years old kid, and these guys are still really good and could probably quadstar the song on the spot. You have a lot of catching up to do, but you're also doing very well for such a young age...keep it up ;)
Aw, I feel real sorry for you now. It must suck when you want to do something very badly, but you have a condition where it makes you unable to do so. Still, the best you can do is to work as hard as you can without hurting yourself.
This is quite an unique song when it comes to scoring. It's not too easy pass because its constant stepping drain stamina and the stream is quite fast. However, when you master the stream and have enough stamina, this is by far the easiest 11. I'm at this point, I have 92% at this song. It's my best score on an 11. When nearing a quadstar, this song becomes really hard to score on because of the speed-up causing you to get excellents.
Id say that isn't a fair comparison. PumP's playing style is different (arrow layout, techniques for moving around) than ITG2, plus the infamously easier judgement/grading... though that might not be as much of a factor since the vid you linked to was on PumP PRO... Though if you linked to a guitar hero video, I'd have to smack you... really hard.
