- The #BarkoVlog everyone is waiting for is here. We are onboard M/V Filipinas Cagayan de Oro of Cokaliong Shipping Lines from Cagayan de Oro to Cebu City, Philippines.
She has 3x a week schedule on her Cebu to Cagayan de Oro and vice versa route and once a week side trip (every Saturday) to Jagna, Bohol.

Thank you, Mark for this vlog. It holds a special place in my heart. It made me reminisce the wonderful times of traveling by overnight ferry. I can almost hear a vendor shouting, “ITLOG MO NOY, ORANGE!” along with the ship’s crew calling “PWERA BISITA” on the PA system just before the ship departs.
You are most welcome Sir. The modernization has prevented those vendors as well as family and friends nga mu hatud sa barko Sir, I was young back then but I remember those days when I use to take the Cebu-Tubigon-Cebu route. Thank you Sir for sharing your nostalgia and experience.
I even enjoyed sailing with the Tubigon Ferry and the Jadestar whenever I visit my relatives in Sagbayan and Calape back in the days, departing Cebu around 10 pm and arriving in Tubigon 3 - 4 hours later. I usually catch the return trip to Cebu around noon time and arrive at around 4pm.

Docking by Aduana. That same spot where Filipinas CdO is docked is the same area where the old cruiser vessels of Trans Asia (Asia Japan, Asia China and Asia Philippines) as well as the Cuenco’s Bisaya Shipping Lines’ modified Ex-FS vessels used to dock more than forty years ago. The area near the Telecommunications Bldg/Pier 1 is where Sulpicio, William Lines and Gothong’s vessels respective docking assignments. The area where SRP meets the Subway, is the berthing location for George and Peter Lines and Compania Maritima’s vessels.
Thank you Sir for sharing those nostalgic memories of the past. Ang na abutan ko sa Aduana Sir is Trans-Asia and Sulpicio Lines na.

Yang terminal building sa cagayan de oro port na bago...hindi yata yan ipapagamit nang mga pasahero ...kasi may unang building doon muna kayo mag stanby bago kayo mka pasok sa pangalawa.. ginawa yata yan pang inspection tapos magbayad nang terminal fee at dadaan kalang sa building at akyat kana agad sa barko hindi kna maka standby nang matagal sa bagong terminal..bakit pa ginawa yan kong hindi ipagsmit sa pasahero mag stanby nang matagal..sayang lang pacilities dyan pang hambog lang..

Do they have a nice ferry to get on that will take you to Cebu to mindinea were you can book your own private suite? A nice suite that would be like a hotel room like a room at the waterfront hotel in Cebu , because no westerner is going to sleep in room full of strangers in the USA that ship would be called a prison ship, the to go ferry has nice suites and there based out of the Philippines, the thing is if that ship had nice suite's people with money would ride them and a suite in the Philippines ferry ride only cost maybe 10,000 peso that's dirt cheap for a suite and 24 boat ride, in the USA to book a nice 5 star suite will run you 50,000 peso a day or 1000 usd so 10,000 pesos or 200 usd for a 24 hour ship ride and a suite is cheap, that ferry I take it is not geared for fussy foreigners because what I saw I would fly before get on that prison ship
