SPREADSHEETS! I also play my BaCC with a spreadsheet and some friends look at me weird, but I really enjoy it and will keep doing it as long as I find it fun. Just as looking at other people's BaCC spreadsheets! Makes me really excited to work more on my own! :D
Although I am not one to use spreadsheets, I liked watching how you manage and it was really interesting. It's just something I wouldn't have the patience to do lol but I admire all the work and dedication you put into doing these videos for us. They're always so entertaining and I just love how dedicated you are to it. 💞
Before I used spreadsheets I had random notebooks on my desk and just kept everything in my head 🤓 glad you enjoyed the video even if the sheets aren't your thing!
Tea Addict, you are the Sims 2 content creator I have been looking for on UA-cam! I’ve even sent your videos to my husband to get him back into The Sims and we’ve now watched both of your BACC tours together and love it. It’s really inspiring to see someone put so much effort into their game and you’ve given me some really good ideas for my own neighbourhood. Looking forward to part 3 of this mini-series! Much love from the UK 🇬🇧❤

Ahhh I love these! I'm on the thick of my BACC and have been having a blast. I don't play super rules based but I've been trying to figure out how I'd like to implement things like taxes and careers. Really excited to see how you run the military base! Awesome work and gorgeous sims❤
Yeah there's a lot to figure out! I think the easiest way to do taxes is just make them pay a percentage of their net worth (maybe house value & business value) and then leave it there. I wanted mine to be more realistic 🤓
@@TeaAddict that's actuall a good idea! I was thinking of doing like 5 or 7% of their household funds so it changes every time depending how much money they have and then add in facts like if they have kids, businesses, cars, solar panels etc. Think that might be a good baseline haha

So glad I found your videos because I just love BACC / integrated hood game play. I just started a new überhood/BACC TS2 hood and I've been thinking of ways on how to handle tax / city funds. In TS3 it's easy because I use my own mods created just for this, but with TS2 I always struggled on how to handle them. Now even though I have no plans on doing tax so in depth, this video did give me an idea on how I could handle it in TS2. Also, if you ever plan on making a new BACC series where you start a new hood from scratch and record everything I would definately watch it. Just throwing some ideas into the universe to see what will stick. Looking forward to watching the last video in the series. And also checking out your TS3 series.

Hi Megan! Glad you're enjoying the tour 😊 Oops I forgot to talk about my aging system in this video, I'll have to go over that in the next one 😅 I also found that some systems felt too long and others felt too short, so I basically just fiddled with it until I got it to a point I like. It's a bit complicated, but it's roughly based on: 1 year IRL = 1.5 days in the game. Babies are 2 days, Toddlers are 5, children are 9, teens are 10, adults are a total of 60, and Elders have base 14 with add-ons for good aspiration. I will do a more in-depth explanation next video; thank you for the reminder!

Where did you get your aspiration spreadsheet 😮? The only one I found like it is Belladovah’s, but it doesn’t have the Zodiac portion which I like on yours!
I made it myself! - I used a couple of different ones as a base and came.uo with something I liked. BellaDovah actually took mine as inspiration for hers but removed the zodiac portion and tweaked a few other things 😊
Like I say in this video: it is about having fun. Keep whatever rules you want, get rid of the rest. Tweak things until it feels enjoyable. Don't get tied down to trying to follow the rules! I'm constantly changing things up to make it more enjoyable for myself!
After years of experimenting, I've settled on a "reverse BACC" setup that fits my playstyle better. Instead of having Sim owned businesses unlock careers and collect taxes etc., I have the careers unlock new community lots. So at the end of each round of play I total the career level of Sims in each career, multiply each total by $5,000, and then that is the total cost of community lots of the associated type that I can place in the neighborhood. That allows me to remove most of the bookkeeping (backloading it to the end of each rotation) while still maintaining the essential flavor of BACC-style play.
I have it shared on discord 😉 check the pinned comments on the sims-2-bacc thread. Although I might need to update it, I think I have made some changes since then
I'd never say never on that! But it won't be any time soon. Right now I am making videos of what appeals the most to me, what is requested, and what is fun for me to make. Sorry that you miss the rotational play 🙏
It's roughly based on 1 year IRL = 1.5 days in the game but I have tweaked some age spans if I like them or don't like them, always trying to strike the right balance. I use a mod from Inge Jones called the Institution Sign, and put it on any lot I don't want kids going to school. You need to download the sign as well as a patch to make it work, all of the information is on the website. You can change the object mesh to look like the maxis hydrangea bush so it just looks like a garden plant (included in the download)

@@TeaAddict Thank you so much for your help! May I also ask if you plan to continue release your Medieval Charter Challenge streams on UA-cam channel? I have noticed, that the last video was released four months ago, so I would like to ask 😀
@@janeread3164 at some point, yes. They will probably get bulk uploaded
@@TeaAddict Thank you!
I saw that you have a car business and I’ve never been able to figure out how to run one because I think driveways / cars are locked on community lots? I’d love another open for business tip video on running that kind of lot !! I looove how in depth you content is 🫶❤️
- also omg I wish I was good enough with math to create a tax system like that 😭😭 that’s so impressive although idk if I’d base my sim world on US taxes 👀 lololol
Yep so to enable cars in buy mode on community lots, you need to toggler wholesale mode on the business tools widget 😊 I talk a little bit about that in my OFB tutorial video if you wanted to check out more of my content!
Glad you're enjoying it, thanks so much ❤️
