How about small branches under 0,5cm in diameter? Does it cut them or they just pass through?
The longer the cable, the thicker it should be. For cables up to 25 m long required minimum cross section is 3 x 1.5 mm2, for cable lengths over 25 m required cross section min. is 2.5 mm2. That's what it says in the instructions.
What you don't see is that the larger wooden pieces have the fibers more or less crushed or broken up by the turbine cutter. They are often barely hanging together and you can peel them apart with your fingers. This means bacteria will attack them easily and they compost very well.
@@Bot101101 Exactly. It crushes and separates the fibers very nicely -> quick composting, even in Finnish conditions. We've had an AXT 25 TC at our summer cottage for several years, and it has been a very reliable and efficient workhorse. Spray some oil to the cutter pack before winter storage and it does the job very well year after year. Highly recommended. 👍

Not to sure what's worse, the music or the sound of the cutter. Top heavy machine that has a tendency to topple over when being dragged around.

It depends on the type of wood. It also depends on dry branches or not. If dry it cuts.

It is customary for us to whiten trees in spring so that the bright sun does not burn the crown. Reverse works fine for me.

It's more of a chipper than a shredder, the larger pieces could be added to compost to aid the breakdown of the finer stuff.
Sift it, run the big stuff back thru once or twice more, done.
