Wow it makes such a difference- makes the wheel look like it’s coming right out of the screen instead of sitting under it . Gonna treat myself to one for Xmas I think

Definitely worth it! Also it lowers the monitors so horizon is level with your eyes

Funny that I saw your post on a group in Facebook and now your video pops up on UA-cam

Maybe Internet is telling you need a shaft extension ;)

I love mine, makes a big difference having my screens lower

Yep, had different extension before and got so used to it, definitely this is the way to setup properly at least with 27” monitors

Let me know if you can get the QR2 to fit in the extension. I just tried and I can’t get it to fit. Makes no sense cause they should be the same size but I measured my QR2 and it a fraction of a mm larger than my QR1.

Try pushing harder? :) Just joking, but mine did not go easy the first time (QR1). I am not planning installing the QR2 shaft anytime soon as I still do not have the actual QRs, but have a brand new QR1 shaft and will measure today both and let you know what I have on my side. Will also contact T.S. Custom to check if they tested as well…

@@57uyo Yeah, It would take a hammer to get it in there unfortunately lol. The end of the QR1 measures 21.7 mm and the QR2 measures 21.8.
I removed the TS Customs extension and the QR2 fits in the DD1 just fine. But that doesn't really work for me where I have my monitors now and I don't plan to remove the extension. May just buy another extension and have it machined out just slightly so the QR2 will fit.

@@jeffspencer8826yeah, original shaft has two cutouts, the TS extension only one so it has less tolerance. On the other hand 0.1mm difference is pretty minimal, I remember I was rotating a lot the shaft when I put it on the extension (was not mounted on base). I pressed it quite a lot until it went all the way, this shave off some of the material on the top of Fanatec shaft. Since then it started to move freely. Surface seemed to have some additional paint buildup which was shaved off when initially inserting it. If I were you I would try to insert the new shaft first on my workbench to try to squeeze the new QR, or would just carefully sand down with sandpaper as last resort as 0.1mm is quite minimal difference. Also most probably the TS extension compressed and stayed like this from use with the old one, maybe it could loosen up a little...

So you integrate now your monitors on the motion rig?
Would be interesting how you get the monitors fixed...
I drive motion with surge and free stand triples 32". But the con is the fov/ distance to monitors especially in the high because of 50mm distance for motion.
Now I think about to fix the wheelbase to the triples (like race beyond matter does now).
So your seat and Pedals are together and moving against the wheel... Hmm lots of work only to try....

I am moving away from integrated mount back to freestand. I had my monitors fixed on the platform very stable, issue is have not enough space. I will add TL and surge and will leave the wheel fixed - seat and pedals only on slider. The freestand for the monitors is motorized - can move it up and back when using motion, for TL and surge inly can put it back between wheel and wheelbase (check my latest short). As for how I fixed the monitors till now - my latest video covers it ;) ua-cam.com/video/lcFdJS3t7cs/v-deo.htmlsi=FLtSNJFyPhm4Lk-k

It looks very good, and it will feel better, I have had the motor behind the central monitor for 8 years now and it is the best...
I started adapting it to my second Thrustmaster TX, then to the TG-T and now to the Moza, I also have the cable Female USB inside the extender, and of course my 8 steering wheels are unique,so I don't have the annoying curly cable on the outside.
Today I will try my lever extenders for 2 bodyshakers, to see how they work...
    greetings.
