It’s remarkable that over 30 years since the transition from the VFL to the AFL, many biases still persist within the league. Issues such as fixture and travel inequities, the Grand Final’s permanent location at the MCG, and the financial and media dominance of Victorian teams continue to present challenges. Despite this, the West Coast Eagles have risen above these obstacles to secure multiple premierships, showcasing the resilience and strength of our proud club. With a loyal supporter base and the privilege of having some of the AFL’s greatest players to wear our jumper the Blue and Gold with pride, we continue to exemplify what it means to be a powerhouse in Australian football. With West Coast welcoming new coaches who have experienced premiership success and bring an unparalleled wealth of knowledge and expertise, the club is entering an incredibly exciting new era. For players considering their futures, this is a golden opportunity to be part of something special. Those who choose not to stay or join the Eagles may miss out on being part of a team poised for a bright and promising resurgence. One thing is certain: the West Coast Eagles are on the path to rebuilding a powerhouse team once again. They’ve drafted an exciting group of young talent, and the key now lies in fostering a deep connection-playing for each other not just as teammates, but as a family. I genuinely believe that ‘Mini’ has the potential to be the coach who propels the Eagles up the ladder. His strategic acumen and ability to build strong relationships with players and staff are second to none. Having seen his influence during Richmond’s premiership era, particularly with his innovative ball strategies, I’m confident he could bring that same success to West Coast. As supporters, we all believe! LETS GO BOYS! 💪🏽 💛💙💛💙 🏆🏆🏆🏆
Strange they took so long between parts of this series. Very well done. I remember that some Melbourne officials wanted the Prelim played at the G' haha
If we'd been given a fair go with the fixtures and travel schedule, tribunal and everything else they could stiff us with, there would have been at least two more. But geez that was a great team. Love Mick, and love Mick's boys.
For memory 1988 West Coast vs Melbourne elimination final Waverly Park, 1991 West Coast vs Melbourne semi final Waverly Park, 1996 West Coast vs Essendon semi final MCG and 1999 West Coast vs Carlton semi final MCG. At least 4 finals stolen from the Eagles, there is during credits for the video that was the season it was 1994 of Victorian fans wearing merchandise with West Coast Wankers printed on shirts etc and our first season we had a list of 35 players and every other club 52 players. 10 consecutive finals 3 Grand Finals, 2 Premierships and we've hostility towards the Eagles players. Many AFL supporters outside WA say West Coast fans are the worst supporters, I don't believe that, a lot of UA-cam videos for which club they hate the most have the Eagles in the top 3 and I say there's no place for hate in any sport. But it's understandable if Victoria did create a monster in the West!!

Amazing 30 years later and the Vic bias still hasn’t changed 😒

Eagles had the last laugh v a system designed for them not to succeed. System is still the same for interstate sides
Not the new ones. Nor Sydney. VFL love the new clubs.
