Ghosts was the first cod I ever played and that was back in early 2015 on the xb360 after drifting away from gaming for about a decade. I absolutely loved the multiplayer. Me and a friend would play until late at night while drinking beer and we would do this 3 nights per week. There was always loads of people talking on the mics so loads of firing insults and joking around. We played from Feb to December 2015 until I sold the 360. Don't understand the complaints about the game, for me it was all good. Bought the game again when I got my XB1 but there was far less people on then and little to no mic talk.
Never understood the hate for this game, the only issue that I agree with is that the perceived time to kill is absolutely broken, this game does have a time to kill on par with the rest of the og cods, but on the receiving end it always feels like you've been killed in a single bullet, and its impossible to react to being hit before dying. Apart from that, the rest of the mechanincs were an improvement, from movement to animations to the perk sistem, weapons, map changes through the match, field missions, there's a lot of good ideas.
I started playing Black Ops this past week, I only played a bit of BO3 and MW2019 before and gosh I didn’t miss those claymores and campers. And they are always level 50 not noobies like me.

People hated it because the TTK was stupid, perk system was trash, and everyone camped with thermals thanks to the maps being way too big. It was not a good game. Sat Coms are stupid compared to UAVs, operator system was useless, map design outside of being too large was also awful.

This game is not horrible, the launch maps were too big, but dlc copensated that. The Ttk was super fast but it was at the time the superior engine as opposed to black ops 2. Lots of flaws and the feel of the game isn't refined even though they expanded and made it more sophisticated (character/ class customization, game environment and gameplay mechanics). Overall it's still a good COD game (for me at least). By the way I personally prefer live com as they feel more authentic and natural. However some people prefer high K/D ratio prerecorded footage spliced with commentary. I'm leaning towards what got you noticed. Honest commentary with casual gameplay. For me the days of going 69 and 0 are gone. Besides it's oversaturated and it gets boring when you keeping getting killstreaks and win all the time. In life we sometimes lose...

thermal was always meta on ghosts, its kinda gross haha. I liked ghosts, always have, just the big maps were always what drove this game into the ground in my opinion, otherwise its actually a solid game.
the flashbacks are real bro. when you loaded into octane i actually feel like going back and playing it. i cannot bear to play bo6, the OG games are so much better. all the way up to mw2019, the movement and the game itself in every aspect was SIMPLE. the majority of people want SIMPLE, and i dont think COD has fully understood that yet. with the massive amount of people quitting bc of bo6 hopefully will encourage them to make some changes.
i think the live commentary is good, better for live reactions and thoughts ofc, and the pre-recorded gameplay would be good if you had some topics, ideas, thoughts, etc relevant to the game that you wanted to cover. that gives you a chance to organize your thoughts. you could also do a mix of both. watch faze jev's videos for example. youll see a mix of live commentary/gameplay and pre-recorded clips.
Been playing cod since I was a kid(I’m 30 now) and cod definitely feel off a cliff starting with ghosts. With hindsight, nothing was going to compete coming off of black ops 2. But man was it next level bad lol

The search and rescue community during this games peak was amazing.

I honestly enjoyed Ghosts (to an extent) but I avoided Freefall like the plague. Loved the R5, Honeybadger, and the Vector before DLC guns came out.
R5 was so powerful, my most used weapon lol.
I play ghost every other day on my ps3 and its still active. It has way more players active than new gen xbox one and ps4.
