What better way to do so than for one of Sanguinus' most memorable fights?
I adore seeing the shreds of humanity left within Angron here, clashing against the inherent perfection of the Great Angel!
(The Artwork used here, too, was originally of Ka'Bandha, not Angron, but Sanguinius vs Angron art is sparce so I did what I could to modify it. I intent no insult to the incredibly talented original artist! The work is absolutely spectacular, and I did what I could to, somewhat poorly, modify it for the use I needed)

Something I have wished to cover for a while and a perfect thing to cover with Sanguinala fast approaching!
This is going to be a three part series so I hope you stick around for the following parts, which shall all be out by the time of boxing day, I do hope!
A wonderful fight, from beginning to end, showing the humanity in the brutal, demonic Angron and the brutality in the otherwise perfect, serene Sanguinius! (Whilst also showcasing their usual traits to a spectacular degree!)

Angron is like angry rhino, unstoppable but functionally useless once he meets something as strong.

DQVO's rendition of Angron's single night of peace on Nuceria moves me. He shifts from the barely contained tension and fury that result from trying to make a human mind understand the battle of gods to the soft stillness of a single human night. Angron didn't seek the extremes of pleasure like some debased Aeldari, he just wanted one quiet night. That single moment of clarity was given in such a subdued voice that it made me stop for a moment.
Even without the Butcher's Nails, Angron's rage would have been legendary. The last shreds of his humanity resemble more than the idea of compassion and empathy, more than just the humanity that the other Primarchs carry, Angron's humanity was one of complete understanding. He could have been a spirit of the Imperium so much stronger than Sanguinius not in combat but in kinship. Look at a Hive World and tell me you wouldn't rage to see our species brought so low? Look at the injustice of history and tell me you wouldn't give anything to make it right? If Angron wasn't captured by the Nucerian High Riders, if he was reunited with the Emperor as a complete Primarch, he would have been a paragon of righteous anger. The Blood Angels would have been awed to see the World Eaters in the peak of their fury: imagine if every single injustice, every instance of innocent blood, would illicit displeasure, and then multiply that by a million worlds, not even the Black Rage and Red Thirst combined could match.
Sounds like another insane legion purging planets with Night Lord twisted self righteousness. Not to mention the Black Rage isn't just me go angry it's a mutation that mutates them in a literal way making them bigger,quicker and stronger

I didn't know the Black Rage mutated the Blood Angels but I hold to my argument. The human ability to just throw themselves suicidally scares the daylights out of everyone in the galaxy.
its so sad knowing what fate could have had for Angron if the Emperor had helped him save his brothers and sisters, or if the Emperor had found him before the nails were implanted on him.
Sanguinius knows this very well, that's why he does not despise his brother.
there was one primarch that could've possibly prevented this..guilleman. nusceria is very close to the border of ultramar at the extent it was when the emperor found him.

If Henry Cavill's Warhammer 40k show ever sees the light of day and it's about the primarchs, that's one story I hope will be better written. Not different in the outcome by any means, but there should be more context as to why would the emperor fuck Angron's life up with such disdain.
Ehhhhh, you want your son to eat the other kids. Angry boy getting enslaved by humans is like your grown son getting beat up by a 10 year old. That being said, maybe there could be a lesson or subplot behind the Emperor's decisions written in cannon 🤔

I always say that Sanguinius' rage is far worse than Angron's. Its because that rage is born from a noble heart.
And a reasonable assumption. A blood angel lost to the black rage becomes stronger than a Chaos Marine in terms of raw power and will only grow stronger with time.
"If the eye of the body is light, then how great is that light! And if your eye be filled with darkness, how great shall be that darkness!"
Far worse than the heart who has lost everything is the heart who could lose everything.

Sanguinius chose what once a coward did not
* 4:22 - It really is crazy, the sheer scope of the battles Primarchs wage. Even the mightiest Titans, such as the Warmonger here and the Warlord Titan Sanginius fought in _Saturnine,_ can be laid low or even serve as _collateral damage_ in such a clash of demigods as scene here.
* I love the little detail of the Eater of Cities Sigil, back when Angron still had some semblance of honor and sanity, starts to flicker to the Chaos-Emblem crossed with the World Eater's Sigil at 6:59.
* 8:10 - Ah, geez; the fact that Sanginius knows and recognizes Angron's torment in his current state, if not from the day the Nails were put in his head and the Healer of Spirit* he could have been was ripped away, and does not tell him to die with hatred in his heart, but offers it as a mercy to his brother. Oh, if only it had been the Emperor's Sword that the Great Angel had held in his hand that day; perhaps then Angron might have finally found peace.
* Speaking of which, do you think you might do the Excerpt with Angron's Empathic Powers? And do it with the War Hounds sigil instead of that of the Eater of Cities or the World Eaters, because I think it would be more fitting. Since it is a glimpse into the heart of the noblest and kindest of the Primarchs that he might have been, had fate only been kinder.

What's tragic is they're very similar to one another. Everyone needs to remember E did try to remove them via Arkhan Land, but they couldn't be removed. His solution was to let Angron essentially find the peace he wanted to in glorious battle. Also why the gladiators couldn't really be rescued was due to their ages and the transformation into an astartes would have killed them potentially anyway. The entire Nuceria incudent was a lose - lose situation. Readers only need yo blame Lorgar and Horus for taking advantage of Angron ultimately.

Sanguinius is the Emperor's love for humanity and the hope of making them as he is, godly and beautiful. The hope and love that runs through every human being and drives us to do heroic acts as often as we commit cowardly ones. Every day that love is tested and every day it comes away ripe from the trial.
But Angron is the Emperor's painfully terrible hatred for us every single time we fail to meet his expectations. And we fail to meet that standard a lot, as the setting itself points out, and every single time his frustration grows a bit more bitter, a bit more terrible, and a bit more awful.
Every. Single. Time.
So. Who do you think wins in the Emperor's heart every day?
Angel versus Devil.
Open area, free for all with minimal planning from either side, Sanguinius is the strongest primarch right?
Oh yeah for sure. He even beats Horus on the Vengeful Spirit before the latter taps into his Chaos Undivided hax.
*After Sanguinus had beaten Angron and Ka’bandha, not to mention he'd been fighting Daemons and traitor filth for days on end.
