  • THIS IS NOT A PAID ENDORSEMENT! I BOUGHT THIS WITH MY OWN $$$
Stop taking 2 fuel canisters on your backpacking trips, one 1/2 empty, one full (to make sure you don't run out. FlipFuel allows you to merge your canisters, so you can minimize pack weight of fuel.

Awesome, I have a million of these that are like 20% full just collecting dust on my shelf. I'm going to give this a try. Thanks!

That's the situation I was in....don't know if you save a ton of money, as you can buy a number of canisters for what the FlipFuel costs, for me it's more of a guilt thing.

I use a 16oz isobutane canister to fill up the 3.5 oz canisters

That's the economical thing to do, but gotta be careful not to overfill.

In order to slow the transfer rate so I can more precisely fill, I warm the source canister with my bday heat and put the to be filled canister in the fridge for a short time.

@@KurtPapke by filling slowly I have only overfilled once...may 5-6 gms. I have done this maybe dozen times.

@@pmm1044 yeah, a couple of grams is no big deal. I overfilled one by 25 grams and that caused problems.
