    Wow. All of your LD3 video tutorials have been indispensable. You should do more. This one in particular is fantastic - really quickly opened up the possibilities available. Good work and thanks for your effort and contribution, invaluable!

      Thank you! Glad it was a useful video :) I'm sure there will be more LD3 content on the channel! It's still one of my favorite synths ever.

    again...i always get a better understanding of this noiz weapon when you explain it. :P
    wonder...will you be doing one on all of the sequencing including sending CC and Program Changes?
    i use the CC like crazy...it's the chaining of presets and sending Program Changes that i have yet to really implement.
    :)

      Hey, thanks :) I've done a sequencer walkthrough video already: ua-cam.com/video/tSlCHXnZdig/v-deo.html
      Not sure if there's anything more to CC sequencing than using the LD3's 32 controller tracks. Regarding program changes, I've actually never ever used those in my life with any device, but I'll look into it XD

    Priceless video !

    That is a really powerful bus system...esp with all the routing, modulation and FX...AND with the extra i/o and analog filters options! WOW!
    Could you do a latency test for us? A simple audio thru latency test...maybe with some additions to see much extra latency adding more FX will add. I hope its in the low 1-2ms range.

      On the LD3's specs page it says: "Maximum audio latency: 1 sample - 22 uS (microseconds). 450 times faster than Linux based instruments!!!"

      @@tuesdaynightmachines YES, i just saw that also! WOW WOW WOW...that is incredible! It is quite an investment...but this could be the selling point for me...i wonder if the internal tracks playback is similarly high spec accurate. I mean some grooveboxes have a few samples latency between tracks...say u play the same sample on track 1 and on track 16...is there phasing..or sample accurate? i hear some say the Roland MC707 have this problem.

      Phew, I actually never bother testing these things, haha :D I'm not an audiophile or "technician" like that at all. I think when it comes to the LD3, it's important to know about its sound, which is digital and granular as soon as processing gets involved. You can smooth it with the optional analog filters, but even they can be harsh. Also, don't expect the delay or reverb to sound like your usual clean effects. Same with a sine wave, etc. The name "Deformer" is very fitting for the device. There's a lot of features that let your deform and destroy sounds and sequences. The more experimental your music, the happier you'll be with the audio capabilities of the box, I'd say. It's a cross breed between the Octatrack and Electribe 2 Sampler, with some things that mutated and evolved in weird ways along the way :D So if those devices, or mainstream grooveboxes in general, bore you, the LD3 might be a good instrument for you. I think the user interface is very well done and it's totally a desert island instrument, but still, one needs to like its sound and the overall concept.

      @@tuesdaynightmachines haha, i am on a quest to get something powerful super low latency and jitter...this thing looks for sure like a big contender. But i think encoders for the 8 "multi" knobs would almost be a must for me, must be really annoying having that parameter jump all the time, and "catch up", trying to find the value first is even more annoying for me...a LED-ring around good encoders would be perfect. But it seems to be hard to get encoders to have the right feel (that pots have) for some reason, and then after a few years some encoders start to skip. Thanks for all the info.

      Good luck on that quest then :D Let me know what you find! I'm strongly in the potentiometer camp and generally dislike encoders, so 'Im very happy with the LD3 in that regard.

    How many exfx can be stacked on each bus?

    • @tuesdaynightmachines
      @tuesdaynightmachines  3 роки тому

      All of them :D You can freely assign and stack the eight available FX slots to the busses.

      Is it 8 in total ( across all busses )
      Or 8 fx on each bus?

    • @tuesdaynightmachines
      @tuesdaynightmachines  3 роки тому +1

      It's 8 Bus FX slots in total, plus 2 main output FX slots.
