This is a very old Irish song from early to mid-1600s. Dragonborn Comes, Dream On, Superstition and Carry On My Wayward Son are 4 that came to me quickly.
Thanks for reacting to VP's wonderful new production. The first time I heard it was by the Irish Rovers while in college. Thank you to for pointing out Geoff's air-guitar! Totally missed that.
I'm a little late to the party, but when in doubt about lyrics, closed captions are your best friend, especially with VoicePlay. (They're very hard of hearing friendly, I suspect due to Kathy's influence. Plus, every once and awhile, they add little bits humor and information, like in the Just Sing video) Always have captions on when listening to these guys.
Good to see ya hun 💛 sending lots of love your way 💛 As always a great reaction! Great to see Omar back with the guys. No you haven’t met Omar before. A few to check out to see more of him are *Dragon Born come* *Dream On* he was in *Carry on my wayward son* and *Superstition* His brother was in *I cant make you Love me* which is beautiful and heartbreaking. And *I can go the distance* they both have beautiful voices Alway fun hun👌🏻💛👌🏻 see ya soon
This is a traditional Irish folksong about a highway man robbing a military officer (perhaps of soldiers' pay) and being betrayed by the woman he loves, ending up in jail. The "musha" word is the actually the Irish word "muise" and is an exclamation of "well" or "indeed," and is followed by the Irish equivalent of scat singing - it's all nonsense verbiage. "Whack for my daddy-o" would be said while holding up the jar of whiskey, essentially saying "Here's a shot for me"
Geoffs low note was a chest F1, a new record for him!
