Yeah this game has definitely gone downhill lol
After playing this game for a few days I can honestly say this is one of the most infuriating and irritating apps out there. Why?
1. The game is entirely pay-to-win. You WILL lose the majority of games you play against higher power opponents, as the game relies almost entirely on how fast your character is and how powerful your serve/shot is. Raising your power level without buying gems is a mind-bogglingly slow process, and you almost always end up with worthless items that don't raise the stats you need.
2. There are really only two stats that actually matter: Agility (which is just speed), and either your Forehand or Backhand. If your character is insanely fast, you can easily just circle around most shots and hit them from your more powerful side. Agility is ridiculous in this game. Once you get to around 25/30 agility, you can literally catch up to any ball, even if its returned to the other end of the court.
3. There are times when your opponent will hit a blistering return that you simply can't reach. Fine, that's tennis. But sometimes your opponent's shot will be a pube's length away from you, clearly within reach, and the game won't give you the chance to return it. It makes zero sense.
4. There's this irritating mechanic where if a shot is just out of reach, an exclamation mark appears over your head and you hit a weak lob. Fine. But this sometimes inexplicably occurs when the ball is hit right at you. It's ridiculous
Yes this is ALL true and this is why this game is losing it's traction. Stay tuned because my next video will be on another tennis game that is MUCH better in every way

Tennis Clash is a scam. I left a bad review on the App Store and they deleted it. I went to their FB page with with a review and commented how bad their P2W matchmaking AI is, it got also deleted and blocked me from further commenting.
Other comments (by other people) who also talked about the bad matchmaking with many likes are also deleted thereafter. The only negative reviews are the ones with no likes.
They are whitewashing reviews. Stay away from this game. The developers have NO intention of addressing the matchmaking.
Yeah Tennis Clash has really gone downhill, and I dont think it will ever come back. It has a lot of other things that are awful about it, and there are just better games out there.

Hey @supersoslox, you can lob. You just hold the swipe a little longer to affect the trajectory of the lob.
Does it go high enough and fast enough to go over the opponent?
supersoslox I tried, but I wasn’t able to play it high enough so that the opponent can’t play an overhead.

It is possible; the lower the power of the shot, the higher the lob, if I'm not mistaken. So, if someone rushes the net, hold your shot until the power bar is close to as empty as you can get, while dragging far up on the screen to make it a far shot. If you do it correctly, you'll lob the ball way over their head, and land it on or near the base line (I think it's called? The back line on the court that you serve from), and they usually won't be able to get there in time. If you don't hit it with LOW enough power, and/or if you don't hit it far enough down the court while hitting it with low power, you'll just pop it up right to them for them to smash it for a point. It takes a while to get used to it, and you'll probably mess it up the first 25 times or so, but once you do it, you'll be able to recognize that it worked. It almost doesn't even give them a window to try to return it if I'm not mistaken (it doesn't even give them the circle underneath their feet if I remember correctly); you both basically just stand there and watch the point happen LoL. You'll likely know that you've done it right when you do, and then likely have an "Ohhhhhh, I see now!" kind of moment
Playing the net as much as you can is only really effective against less experienced players. Playing in tour 3 and 4 right now and that strategy will get you crushed most of the time. It becomes much more situational as better players are much better at putting the ball outside of your reach at the net, very hard and on court. This probably also has a lot to do with the better card stats etc that come once you are opening bags from higher tours.
KickStandLFS well yeah I just simplified it in my video. It just depends how you approach the net... if you approach down the line they won’t be able to wiz it past you since you will have most of the court covered. If you hit a ball to the left, move a little to the left to prepare for the down the line shot. Also you should only approach on short balls. I am not at the higher ranks yet, but in higher ranks of tennis irl, coming to the net still has a higher win %
To lob you simply have to swipe super super slow. I use it all the time. Also stats matter but play your strengths and your opponents weakness. I beat people with better stats all the time just by understanding their strengths and weaknesses. Sometimes I will even play to their strengths and have them over use it. Not always a win but that's sports.
Does the lob actually go over the person at the net, or just go slow back to them. Also with higher stats, you can win A LOT more. You can still lose, but it is hard, even if you are bad.
@@supersoslox The lob is a high arcing return that forces them to run back. Yes it goes over their heads. Also you earn stats by playing and getting better, or pay for them. Just like a real athlete. The once that put in the work get better and the once that pay for things like private lessons, better equipment and so on, also get better. No different than reality. Also better strings give you better placement and ball action. So no real spin but something. Try the lob. You have to swipe extremely slow to do it.

Its frustrating because the common defense against this would be lob.

Correct me if I'm wrong but I'm pretty sure if you aim your shot early and hold it until the ball comes to you, you get a slow precise ball which you can use to lob

i use those strategies. but stamina is also extremely important to win. even high agility is worthless when out of stamina too fast.

Im a setup/trick player, AND a lefty. So no spin ,and no lob is killing me.
Pay to win beats skill here in most cases.
And its always a volley at the net when i need it to be a smash or slice.
Its stupid frustrating at times.
The other bad part is : i feel myself getting sucked into the same crosscourt traps and cant stop it before i realize it :-(

This game is not pay to win, imo. You can earn all the cards you can get by not paying. Paying just gets you them faster. Sure, some times matchmaking places you against an opponent that has those upgrades while you’re still pretty early, but it will also do that for you once you have those cards too.
That is same with every pay to win game. You have to grind for years or just spend some money..
It's pay to play not pay to win. I've beaten many players that have superior stats than me cuz they clearly just spent time or money on opening bags but they're skill is lacking.
I'm at Tour 3/4 so that's how i feel so far. Maybe the game changes as you advance?

brother this is one and only mobile game which is not depended on only money, i destroy everyone(29 winstreak now) i didnt even spend 1$ for it, u just have to be wise(not in tennis) i can teach u easy way, needs a little time but u will be winning games like me

There is no such thing...
@SuperRinickulous Yes I have seen it, but I am a real tennis player, and in tennis this is not classified as a drop shot. It is just something weird that the game decides to do.
SuperRinickulous I’ve definitely seen this and it’s incredibly irritating. Especially when done on the serve. I don’t know how it’s done. I wish I did

@superosloc There is already backspin added to the game. Why do you say there is no. I haven’t seen u use it in the game. All you have to do is leave the finder pressed and move it slow
All that does it just sends a high slow ball back (that is not high enough to be a lob)

@@supersoslox absolutely. Have you played a high-level Agility player? They can practically teleport to the ball, no matter how hard or soft you hit it. This renders all other stats useless. The only way to balance it is if you have relatively the same amount of Agility. For example, I went up against someone with 52 agility to my 31. My stats read, 31 agi, 21 stam, 17 serve,15 volley, 49 forehand, 39 backhand to his 52, 20, 13, 7, 30, 24. The only difference was his agility to mine, and I went 0-7. Quite infuriating.

This is NOT a "realistic" game, sorry... Volley players have some sort of "magic" where they can literally stop your ball to hit in time...this is a joke.

Lol, real tennis is not pay to win. Federer and Nadal could beat me playing a broom. Maybe in the sense of buying coaching and quality lessons, to help up skill.
Yeah exactly what I meant. I didnt mean it is pay to win, but paying can give you a SLIGHT edge... Very slight, but that helps a lot in competitive sports.

Yeah it is a lob shot, but it does not going over the opponents head, just setting them up for an overhead and defeating the purpose of the shot.
