I fished the same first spot you marked last winter 2019 and caught 4 nice large mouth bass in that spot around 2:30 to 3pm fishing some crappie minnows. Then nothing. The lake produces many large mouth bass in the summer all the time and the occasional extremely large crappie, but not going to give those spots up. I did have a walleye in the fall off the island right up to the boat, that was a huge surprise during the day. My son, my brother and I have all seen extremely large musky in the lake in the spring shallow while crappie fishing but they never seem to want to bite. But seriously, a couple musky were 45+
Wow, great info. I didn't realize there were such large muskie in there. I've been out there several times in the winter and have caught a few bass, bluegill and occasional northern. It seems the fish turn on during certain hours of the day, according the the locals I was talking to. I will put the boat in this summer and give it a shot. I haven't seriously fished it in the summer yet. Thanks for the detailed comment.
I've been fishing Big Marine for almost 30 years. Ice fishing there for crappy is all about the night bite in any of the northern 3 deep 30 foot holes where everyone puts their ice houses. You can get on the pike and large mouth bass on the weed lines and in the weeds during the day. I've had very little to no luck finding the elusive walleye in this lake.
Great info! Thanks for that. I haven't tried fishing it after dark yet, which is probably why I haven't caught much there. And yes.. this snow has added a challenge to getting out there.
That lake back in the day had a huge pike population and a cazillion panfish I wonder what happened I was out there 3 weeks ago and did a nadda day too,We were having better days just a little north of there in Lindstrom bass and pike on the tip ups I did a mini video if you want to see it I want to get back out there but my little work van cant handle the deep snow, cool videos and website ,I really dig the drone
Thanks for the comment. I will check out your video. That was the first video I made using my drone. You will be seeing a lot more of it in upcoming videos. Good Luck Fishing!

I like that you mention the lake you're on and where your trying to catch fish. One of the main purposes of these videos I thought was to help other people catch fish and show off your skills. Nice try and better luck next time. I would also think about going to Linwood next time. I usually have good luck there.
Hey C shellTrack, I really appreciate the comment. It always annoys me when fishing videos don't tell you when and where they are fishing, so I made it a point to show exactly when and where I was fishing. That way it helps out fellow fishermen if they want to fish the same lake. I'm happy to know others appreciate the info. I'm going to check out Linwood. That's the second time someone mentioned that lake. Good Luck Fishing!

And boy has this winter turned around snow wise since you posted this video! LOL

I'd like to join you if you'd like. I have fished Linwood for a couple years and know some nice spots to not get skunked. Shelltracks@gmail.com
