This is the trans girl mothwing au!!!!!!! I have REMOVED and REPLACED crowfeather, because he SUCKS. in this au, it is MOTHWING who leafpool runs away with, and mothwing is a trans girl and the biological parent to the power of three kids. also in this au mothwing continues to support her wonderful gf after squirrelflight takes their kids to raise and tries her best to support her babies from riverclan because she loves them. hooray!

I'd like to see an au where crowfeather sacrifices himself to save his friends, and feathertail survives. So mothwing and leafpool give the three to her. She and reedwhisker (who's know who the parents are) pretend that they are mates and tell the clan they are the parents. Mothwing could help by telling the clan feathertail is pregnant since she is a medicine cat. Also they could pretend jayfeather got his pelt from feathertail and hollyleaf got hers from reedwhisker

What of in this AU, Stormfur had been the real cat to die so Feathertail lived and not wanting to go back to her old life without her brother she starts a new one in Windclan with Crowfeather so Crowfeather never wants to be with Leafpool but then Mothwing comes in and takes the role of the three's parents?

Damn the series would have been much interesting if Mothwing was Leafpool’s mate, and them being the parents of their kids. Crowfeather is too edgy and wasn’t in a good relationship with Leafpool or Nightcloud. Also, it would explain Lionblaze’s pelt colour.
Edit: Brown tabby's usually carry black and sometimes grey colour pelt genetics. Just look at Leopardfoot, she gave birth to a brown pelted cat despite her pelt being black.

Well, yes, Jayfeather would have to look a bit different, Hollyleaf's pelt colour could still be black, with how Tigerstar was a dark brown tabby and his mother was black.
Jayfeather could look like the jays that actually live in europe. European jays are brown with blue tips of wings, so Jay could be a brown ticked tabby with blue eyes that still symbolize jay wings.
honestly im not super worried about pelt colours, because they dont make sense in canon anyway and its all in good fun- i saw a fun headcanon that because jayfeather and lionblaze are reincarnated, they didnt get ANY genetics from their parents in the first place and only hollyleaf does, but that does mean her coat makes no sense with her new parents haha- maybe she's melanistic?
If i remember right, Hollyleaf got her colouring from Crowfeather, Lionblaze is meant to be a mixture of Leafpools and her parents, then Jayfeather get his from Ashfoot. Although i really like the idea of them being reincarnated that they dont actually get genetics.

oh, squirrelflight still raises them! mothwing is in the same situation as leafpool, neither of them can admit they're the parents of the three. Mothwing is really elated when hollyleaf and then jayfeather become medicine cats because its the only time she gets to see her babies.
and actually I really like the idea of Crowpaw dying in feathertail's place to save her- crowpaw was still an interesting character during tnp but after than he got written really ooc and weird and turned into just a really unpleasant character for me to read about and if he died saving feathertail then he died before he started to not be good and also feathertail lives.

Before the journey Mothwing lost Mudfur and she knows how important it is to make sure leafpool gets to say goodbye to her mentor so she fucking grabs that goddamn badger by the face and kicks its ass before she rushes to help tend to the wounded

I like the Mothwing being a trans girl AU! Leafpool totally deserves better than Crowfeather, and it’s nice to see Mothwing being a helpful and supportive lover!
I have a few questions, though. First being where do the pelt genetics that Holly and Jay have come from? I can understand Jay’s eyes, those being a gene that runs through Sasha (i.e. Hawkfrost), and Holly’s eyes being green, but I’m curious about where those two would get their pelt from.
My second question is, does Crow still travel with the others to the Tribe, or is he replaced by Moth, since he is “removed” from the story, and Leaf and Moth had some moments together while the chosen were gone.
(I can’t be sure that anything important really happened between Moth and Leaf because it’s been a while since I’ve read those books lol)
crowfeather still goes on the trip, but I like to think that he actually sacrificed himself to save feathertail, meaning he didnt live long enough to become a character i would hate haha. pelt genetics are already so wild in canon its hard to confront; but perhaps holly is melanistic? and jayfeather honestly just. who KNOWS.

Ash Bae, Jayfeather got his pelt due to being reincarnated as Jay Wing. Which makes sense since Mothwing and Leafpool basically didn't have any gray tabbies as their kind who had that genetic.
