Wow! That's extremely cool to see an Aerodyne this stripped down! Thank you for saving this beauty. Hopefully she'll be around for 100 more years, at least!
Thanks for your kind words everyone, much appreciated and nice to find folks who favour the old cabovers too. It feels great to preserve a piece of trucking history from the golden age that will never be repeated.
Just saw the completed truck in 10-4 Magazine that came out June 2019. Can't tell you enough how impressed I am. Brings back childhood memories of my dad...
So glad you didn't stretch it. You did it the way it was meant to be.
true. Those stretched trucks look stupid
BEAUTIFUL JOB!! Thank you for saving such an amazing truck! Im restoring an 85 K100. Love the KW COES!!
You sir, are a craftsman! Damn nice job. The attention to detail is phenomenal.
I agree! 100%
Love the attention to detail. Sweet!
Excellent attention to detail, and a real credit to you !
Thanks for sharing, from the UK:
Wow amazing work I can only imagine what the finished product looks like I’m buying a 1989 an old Dart truck still in service very well taken care of looking to restore it with in my budget of course thank you for the detailed information I have an idea of what to look for
beautiful job my friend. Im a huge lover of old trucks and it warms my heart to see this one get restored so it can live on.
Nice restoration project. I like these K100s since my childhood. I used to have a couple of 1:24 kits but I gave them away many years ago. Currently I'm building a 1:13 K100 of LEGOs. This video really is a good source for me! Mainly thanks to this one I can make the model as accurate as possible. It's still a work in progress but the end result will be shown soon.
Looks great, you do good work.
A beautiful rig...looking forward to the finished product. Keep it coming...
Splendid! Beautifully sorted out..
Speechless... Excellent job... Absolutely stunning.

Paul,I think it'll be better than when it left the factory! As on your website,it looks GREAT!!
amazing work truly' lots of money well spent bravo
I would say your an artist.
KW made a great truck but you took it further. I love to build models of these and you explained and showed so much useful details just in this walk around.
They still build these and you buy them thru your Canadian American dealers their built in Mexico and built well I've seen one my friend has
good taste keep em alive !
these 108in Aerodyne were very prone to cracking the fiberglass dog house my Father -in - law bought a Bi- Centennial edition ( first year they made 1976 ) brand new naturally it was painted Red White & Blue , White being the major color , in my opinion Kenworth is the pioneer in major improvements on trucks , from the Aerodyne , to the slope nose T-600 Anteater as they were called , to daylight cut down armrest doors , just to name a few nice job you are doing on that beautiful truck Frank T
NICE JOB!!!
great ...... cheers ..
old truck .. with new technology in materials .....
Hi paul
that is amazing what a huge job, deep respect for you hope you will keep on posting the progress all the way.
I would wish I would win the lottery then I would make you an offer. Brings back mamories when I was 15 I visited the Kenworth factory in Seattle a huge deal for a truck crazy 15 year old kid from Denmark.

Stunning
Excellent
Nice video. Your trck looks good at this stage prepaint. I would have loved to see the rig befor you started the restoration work. I like the fact that you are doing a full restoration with some up grades in strutural supports. You sound like a wise man about structural safety. Good for you. You are correct about painting the rig wiht out the engine in it since it was removed for frame repairs. I like that you plan on doing a almost perfect factory retosration and not custon.
waau, your truck looks amazing. What a job, i wish my truck was in your truck´s condition now. I will defetenatly look on your page fore more videos and folow up.
And i love that you keep it in old style, im not fond of loooong streeetch trucks.
Awesome I love trucks kenworth,international,Mack..cool!
Your doing a beautiful job on this truck. I have a 1978 Aerodyne the cab hydraulics failed I replaced the bent cab hinge and pistons. I cant get the cab latch to go down and lock around the pin I don't think its going down far enough mine latch goes down about 1 inch before the cab starts to raise do you know if that the correct amount of travel for this?
Bom trabalho! Gostava de ver a parte final
What a great job. It's obvious you are very partial to these trucks. Hope it was all worth the time and expense.
Probably the greatest restoration of all time. Will you share how big the investment was over the 8 years?
Thanks everyone for your kind words and enthusiasm ! The Kenworth K100 Club that I started originally on Multiply a few years ago has moved to Facebook - search for The Kenworth K100 Club.
Regarding the progress, life got in the way a little but she's nearly done. There will be a third video very soon.
Paul.
I hope you will keep the videos on comming can not wiat to see more

Where did you get the brackets from? I need some for my 74
Got to respect a restoration like that, but somebody should do some restomod versions of those classic truck's I could see a K100 like that fitted with new air ride suspension and something like a series 60 Detroit with 18 speed transmission
Paul - Great truck. What product did you use to respray the foam on the doghouse?
Hey i know this is an old video but i didn't find many people on here that have restored an older cab over like this to this extent so, figured I'd try. I need some help. I have an old freightliner cab over cab that my dad ran when i was a kid. It eventually was sent to the junk yard to be parted out by the owner back on the mid 90s and all that was left was the cab, so i bought it. Im looking to do a resto/mod so want it on a long chassis anyway so my biggest hurdle is, if i find a wrecked conventional with the motor that i want, can i strip the body off from it, and put my cab over cab on the conventional chassis? I get that i would probably need to move the motor and trans a little and relocate the mounts which, i can either source or make myself. I do have a welder and fabricating experience. How much of a pain in the dink do you think that will be? Any competent help to guide me in the right direction so i can start looking for stuff would be greatly appreciated!
Looks great! I have got 1979 K100c and am just getting started on checking it out.Have you got any manuals on this model I can beg or borrow or where to get them?
👌🔥
I need to ask the price of such a project all in?
I just bought a 1989 K100E Aerodyne and am looking to restore it
Nice Aston nose piece. DB4 Zagato?
Neat!! Gonna be a show truck or a worker??
@PJCK100 Very interesting video. Thanks for sharing. The KW Cab Over isn't extinct yet, we are still pumping them out down here in Australia. Check my channel for some dedicated videos of them.
✌☺
Thats cool. YOU a driver or just a truck lover?? Kudo's for making it STOCK restoration!! No sillyness..
parabens pelo trabalho
Wow, amazing ground up restoration. Did you pull the tractor out of a junkyard or get it for next to nothing? That's a lot to take on !!
WOW. Make sure you get that Imron on it.
Gelcoats much nicer now and very easy to repair
круто!!! молодец.....!!!!!
Would you by chance have any pictures of this truck before all the work was started ? I've subscribed and thinking about buying a 1973 Freightliner COE sitting around..

Engine no.: 10PC1 (Isuzu)
Like I said befor I would have loved to see a video or pictures in a slide show of jsut how bad this truck looked beor the work began. Please concider that next time you do a restoration or video for a friend even. i really like that you used as mach New Old Stock parts as you could at this point in the restoration. Good luck and I look forward to more feature videos. Would you share how much $ you have spent on this when your all done please. Thank you
Was finished he gave her life..he is the truck god
Paul - saw your feature in the ATHS mag a few months ago. Someone needs to save this one too: sfbay.craigslist.org/scz/hvo/d/vintage-1973-kenworth-coe/6484369488.html

I love what you are doing. However next video can you move a bit slower. I had to stop as you were making me nauseated. Wow .
8v92 really? ugh
why not buy a new one
RICK Greenwood Why buy a new one, when you can rebuild something and call it your own? And for the price for a new one, you get a classic truck, that is yours and a head turner.
+LeeD. Way Amen
