Today we will review the 2021 Thinkcar Thinkdiag ODBII Bluetooth advanced automotive scanner.
Using a tool like this could save you hundreds if not thousands of dollars and not have to make a trip to a automotive car dealership. We will demonstrate this automotive scanner on five different vehicles and do multiple different tests.
I will attempt to grab the Ford keyless entry touchpad code. Something like this might cost you over $100 at a dealership. Typically if you’re buying a used car you wouldn’t have this code provided. We also see a diagnose an issue with a CD player that would not be found with a free scan tool. We will do a vehicle health report and check on a 2008 Buick, 2014 Subaru outback, 2021 Honda CRV, and finally we will attempt to do a diesel particulate filter regeneration on a 2015 Mercedes sprinter.
Remember that this scan tool allows you to access things normally only available by using a high dollar scanners at a substantial reduction in price because it uses a subscription model and software as a service. Make sure that you read the Amazon listing and double check what you are getting and test that you get what you pay. My experience was that I received a one-year subscription that will expire the filling year once it’s activated. The device did not appear to work with other third-party software apps and required the use of the Thinkcar/ThinkDiag application. Once your subscription expires you either need to renew or it may be cheaper to buy a new device.

This scan tool is said to have Bi-Directional ECU Coding Scanner ETS/EPB/SAS/ABS/DPF/AFS 16 Rest Functions and can work with both Apple iPhones and Android phones. I was able to download all Vehicles and all reset tools and tested a couple in the video showing today.
