Nice chicken shed. They are happy birds you have there. This guy on natures always right uses Chunks of charcoal in livestock water and deep litter. I find your videos fun and informative

Is it county mulch or are you creating your own mulch. Great to see you making compost and that's so easy. I am currently raising a couple of pigs and deep bedding is a great way to make compost.
Yes it’s county mulch. it just makes it that much easier. Once a month I get mulch and straight away the chicken house gets one bucket load (about 1/5 of the truck load) and the rest I age for other uses.

@@OffGridHawaii I'm vegan, so I have no interest in chickens for food. Other than for compost, would there be any other benefits in keeping them?
Really the compost and manure they create is well worth keeping chickens. They are really fun as pets too. We have built a beautiful relationship with them working together to create fertility for our garden and fruit trees, which can then feed us and our chickens. What a wonderful cycle 😊
