      How often do you swap battery? Battery backup and charging speed have become so good you don't need to do that..... After 2 or 3 years when you need replacement you just need to to unscrew a few screws... That takes like a minute or 2... But with swapable back panel you don't need case.. Thats i love about CMF

    Nothing is actually bringing nothing to the table. Yet another marketing trick.
    OnePlus was putting customer first with decent hardware with customer aligned software while Nothing is projecting to bring customer aligned hardware without really doing so, as you rightly pointed out by mentioning headphone jack, user removable batteries.

    I have to disagree. Nothing is about fast fluid performance with great battery life powered by a well tuned chipset, all in a uniquely designed package for reasonable prices. They did exactly that with a transparent design, 120hz display, 10 hours+ of SOT on their latest phones, consistent updates every month, and more. While I was bored of the Phone 1, the Phone 2 has been a completely different story with its redesigned and incredibly refined NothingOS. The phone doesnt ever break a sweat. The cameras are much improved from Phone 1, especially since they overhauled the camera, more glyph support (with more to come) and more. I seriously can't put this phone down and also can't wait to see what innovations come with the AI based Phone 3. Ear 2 has been absolutely great for me as well, with good bass and treble as well as solid noise cancellation!

    I have since ditched flagships. I've had numerous Galaxy Ultras and Z Folds. Great products for sure, but for my needs I realized over time they are overpowered for what I like to do. I have since got the Nothing Phone 2A and have been pleased with it. I'm having great battery life, a nice OLED display and my my favorite thing so far is the software. Sure it's not as customizable as One UI, but the minimalistic approach and theme of Nothing is such a pleasure to use. Although yeah the glyphs are useful at times but it still feels underbaked and gimmicky.

    There isn't much room for flagship killers anymore because they also have to fight not just against old used flagships but also the current latest and greatest. Enthusiasts know this and are frequently leaning towards older flagships instead of new mid range or flagship killers.

    Where i live Nothing devices are really overpriced for what you get. When Phone 2 released, it cost just a bit under the base iphone 14 and almost the same as an S23. we are talking around around a 5 10 euro difference per month at my carrier. and for that money the iphone will get support for like 6 7 years while nothing offers 2 or 3

    100% agree about Nothing and CMF. I appreciate their design language and the collaboration with teenage engineering, but as mentioned my problem is these phones don't really go much beyond style. There's nothing really to distinguish them outside of looks and if anything I would rather see the specs improved or have something unique to them outside of what the other companies are offering. Take the nothing phone 2 for example, outside of its looks what is there to make people buy one over say a google pixel 8/8a? Which you can get for the same price now? Nothing except on a pixel you will get very useful distinguishing features like incredible cameras and long updates. Also there are other Snapdragon 8+ gen 1 phones that are available on the market that offer more for the same price. I would rather see nothing go against the grain and make a small phone for example or put an amazing DAC in the phone for audio enthusiasts just something that can distinguish them outside of style.

  • @nachiketdaithankar4405
    @nachiketdaithankar4405 Місяць тому +1

    Absolutely agree. At this point, Nothing is more style, less substance. Too many marketing gimmicks, too few actual usable, pratical features. Currently, the new OxygenOS is just as good, or slightly inferior NothingOS; that is, if you're looking at it objectively, rather than a butthurt "OG OxygenOS" fanboy. On the whole, OP is making better phones than Nothing. Carl Pei needs to waste less time with taking shots at other brands and focus more on his own product.

    Totally agree with nothing's surface level features. The whole back led is whack for me. But on the other side, Nothing OS runs really good so hats off in the OS department unlike OnePlus where they literally gone downhill. I myself own a OnePlus 12 and with those specs, the old Oxygen OS would've killed the market, I wonder what they were thinking. On the sidenote Nothings Ear 2 are great. Again Battery life is not that great and there are issues with Bluetooth connectivity here and there. But the sound quality is just awesome as well as the call quality. I hope Nothing stops being whack and actually push out one great product, be it a phone, TWS or a watch. This is the right time for them to pull out a great product.

    I buy about 4 phones a year. I just get bored with them. I've had the OnePlus 12, the Moto Razer, and the Nothing Phone 2 is my current phone. I'm thinking about grabbing the new Redmagic 9 Pro S this week, but I'm not a huge gamer. So I'm having doubts. Besides, I actually really like the 2 that I have now. Sure, it's a little gimmicky, but it's also really fun. With all of the different ways that I can customize it, I'm not sure if ppl who don't own one can appreciate the way it changes how you interact with your phone. That said, it would be nice to be able to recommend it, flat out, without having to warn ppl about not every app is set up to adapt to the whole Nothing experience.

    You cannot compare the birth of one plus and nothing bc one plus was born on a developing industry and nothing was born on a already developed and stagnant one, I think nothings are what the one plus 6t was a almost flagship with some cuts and a good price, clean android and good performance for its price point, at this point there is no obligation for a new company to bring something ground breaking what is needed now is something at a fair price with fair quality for that price and if you can do that with style is even better...
