He didn't just call out Werner, he made it clear that you are either in the fight or tuck off basically 😂. He is making sure we are are all on the same page, and isn't afraid to be clear and transparent to everyone.
Ange Postecoglou is the best thing to happen to the Premier League for quite a while. Tottenham play great entertaining football. I cannot believe people are talking about sacking him...give him time...
Bournemouth played entertaining football, Fulham played entertaining football, many teams with talented managers in the premiership. Ange is not the only entertaining manager in town. Problem is the team has not made progress and the stats are telling a bad story. But maybe he needs more time, but I can't see him improving because he is tactically unaware and illiterate. You cannot play attacking football for 90 mins against every team.
Ange is one of a kind! Best speaking manager crisp and clean on delivery 😮 I just hope ones wisdom can be rewarded with ones okay on the pitch coz these players will be gone and forgotten once the big man is up. COYS fire 🔥 up This aint a given with spurs but if ange can turn it around then im a believer in what a man/manager is all about. Link up your mentality to be a winner🏆 In Ange we trust! Absolutely love Ange. He’s a great man. Very honest, demands the best from his players, wants us to win playing beautiful football. Top bloke. We are very lucky to have him. Ange in, Levy in etc. COYS.
Is Johnson Ange’s golden boy? Why is he strolling around up top while doing nothing? He doesn’t even bother to track back and help defend, leaving Porro exposed to more danger. Ange seems to pamper Johnson, keeping him above the halfway line just because he brought him in, allowing him to casually stay in position and feeding him easy tap-ins. Meanwhile, he harshly criticizes someone like Werner, who at least contributed more to the game than Johnson. What on earth is he doing?
First things first those tap-ins have often come off the back of gut busting runs, some with out and cross or return. They look easy at the end but they come on the back of repeated efforts. Johnson keeps doing it even when there is only a small chance of a return. This is why he’s an Ange favourite because he keeps doing what Ange asks. Second, you cannot have everybody back in defence because when you get the turnover, where does the ball go? If you do not have a reliable outlet, you’re in danger of an effective counterpress. You need a quick outlet, which is often the role of Johnson.
Generally speaking I don't have an issue with a manager making a point with a player if its deserved. But ironically he did say just the day before that he'd never dig out a player publicly...then he does it... I think this shows that Ange is feeling a lot of pressure and is trying to refocus the team...and himself. One game at a time.
Watching the game live I felt Temu had several chances to try to get past his defender and deliver a cross across the box but opted to pass the ball back. You have to go for it when you are green-lit. That's what you are there for - to make chances. And he's playing Rangers, so what's the problem, mate.
It’s fine to call our Werner but he should call out the rest of them who didn’t put a shift in. Werner was the easy option as he knows most Spurs fans don’t rate him and never wanted us to resign him on loan. It’s a shame Mikey Moore is out, he’d have played a few games by now and in the next month or so at least.
If Spence doesn’t start Sunday, if I were him, I would demand a transfer in January. What’s the point in not playing him? Shall we just wait until Porro is injured? Reggy should get some game time to rest Udogie but he’s been frozen out since Ange arrived. It’s needs must. As he says it’s down to bare bones.
@@Mortlerickle123he hadn’t looked bad in the small cameos his had. He looked good in pre season. His our only other right back option at the moment and Porro is dead on his feet. It’s simply a matter of time when Porro either gets injured or continues to be below the levels he can play and gives more goals away. It’s down to Ange to manage the squad, the whole squad, to get through this period. Or we will continue to lose games & more players. It’s up to Ange now to show what his made of. These results can’t continue. If we lose Sunday & next week in the cup, with poss poor performances, he’ll lose 80% of the fan base and his job will start to become impossible.
Whens he going to start calling son out!? Our captain went out to the left side and was completely ineffective again. Maybe its age but younger players rely on senior players to get them through games especially in difficult times and the only ones that have an impact or impression on them are the ones who fight and encourage...ive never seen that from son.
@-lag-3625but we all know when your playing Angeball as a center half sprinting back and forth to put out fires, like Mikey is asked to do and his injury last season, it was only matter of time when hamstring goes again. We also know Romero gets injured every season. Davies unlucky as usually his available most games. We also know we’d be playing twice a week. So 5 center backs should have been what we had in our squad but we let Philipps go on loan. Where’s the cover at full back? Oh yeah we have Spence & Reggy but we don’t use them. We’d rather let Porro & Udogie run themselves into the ground without a rest or any competition for their places! It’s piss poor planning from Ange & the recruitment team.
@@Gin-oh-laa I personally thought we would be ok with the CB options we had, been very unlucky but I totally agree with how stupid having no full/wing back cover was.
@-lag-3625not with Romeros track record of injuries and Mikey’s hamstrings that are constantly put to the test! We always needed 5 centre backs in our squad to play this way. Full backs was always going to be a big issue for us as Ange doesn’t like / rate Spence or Reggy so no cover apart from Gray who’s actually a midfielder! Round pegs for square holes. This is not how a big club should operate. Thankfully Forster has been great covering Vic, lot of us had big doubts about him. But the lack of battlers in midfield and quality in forward positions is really starting to show. Lots of work to do in transfer windows! Just hope we get it right and invest heavily in the right players!
I was really happy he came off not because I don't like him but he was really poor on the ball and in defense. Balls in Timos court now and it's up to him personally to put in consistent performances or he can pack his bags. If that ain't throwing Timo a bone after all his defending of him, I don't know what is.
Ange is totally at fault for the situation in which we find ourselves. He has consistently said he wont change anything and the players have to work it out for themselves. So if you take him at his word then whatever they do, and however much they do it, that should be sufficient. Players taking him at his word will also see as human beings that others are not pulling their weight. And if they double down as individuals and try to do the right thing by Ange they end up shattered, knackered, injured and feeling hard done by because Ange is not treating all players equally. In fact with the injuries alone to VDV for example where has had to be our defensive saviour, he may never recover now to his former level, because of the absence of a properly defined way of playing. You said yourself Porro has to do twice as much running, Ben Davies is another who has given it a go, and some who you might say have either thought 'bugger that for a game of darts', or come to their senses. All I see basically is some of the players, if not all coming to the same conclusion, that self preservation has come into the mindset. Especially as Ange has also said that we train as we play; so inevitably players are spent and either injured or on the cusp of injury before each game. A player's career is short, and more so at the very top level. So busting a gut at training and playing at the time is just not sustainable. OK let's have it right, it was sustainable for 10 games at the very beginning, then the wheels fell off and it not been the same since. I really feel for the lads. It's like the Charge Of The Light Brigade where those cavalrymen were told by their General Ange, Lord Cardigan, we don't worry about riding headlong into Cannons, it's who we are mate. Go for glory. I don't agree that you wait until everything has gone to shit before Ange has failed to win with every possible winning scenario being impossible, whilst at the same time taking player's careers with him, before you try to put things right. Ange has said he is not changing, so for the sake of the Club, the Players and the Fans the Board. ie' Daniel Levy has got to get rid of Ange. He is just a bloody liability, who's comments from the start have all been about giving him time and plenty of money, to implement a philosophy. Well as far as I am concerned he has had more than enough of both. He does not deserve any more consideration at all. End of.
This is not about the manager or tactics, people. This is about players with low IQ level. The tactics is so easy to implement, but then if you've got players just showing up to pick pay packet, this happens.
The mans a clown, few days ago he said Romero should be doing it behind closed doors and he'd never do that to a player in public, then he does it to Werner. 😂😂
Only 2 days ago in press conference Ange said he never publicly criticised players ( Romeo case ) , today Werner ,like him or not been his scapegoat for the team poor performance . Losses respect for the Spurs manager .
you are 100% correct. Ange try to make look worst football players. so most of his team make. when James Medison make goal son try to put his arm around Madison he try to push away
To be fair I think the majority of the supporter group have been putting him under the bus… and up till now, the gaffer has been very supportive of him
Cowardly Postecoglou. In the previous match, he blamed the players and refused to acknowledge why his tactics needed adjustment, denying any fault of his own. And today, he’s blaming the players again. Now that his position is under threat, he constantly shifts the blame onto them. Does he truly not realise that the real issue lies with his tactics-lacking any balance between attack and defence or any smart strategies?
Only looks "beaten" because of the spursy fans, who i think are in the minority, ask for a manager to be sacked as soon as they can. Fair dinkum. Look at the team available playing two games a week. Spurs will achieve so much if we stick with Ange.
If something isn’t working, adjust and refine your tactics🤦🤦♀️🤦♂️. Your tactics are truly dreadful. Why do you always cowardly blame the players? Have you ever seen Pep blame his players for not winning 10 matches? No, he took responsibility himself. Such a cowardly man.
We’ll lose the next 3 games and he’ll be gone and it’ll be a travesty! Meanwhile Levy will sit back and continue to count the £! +30 years season ticket holder and we’re still a basket case of a club.
