6/13/24 Board Meeting

Thanks to the OTOW residents who showed up for this morning's board meeting. It went fairly smoothly. My apologies for the amateur work. There were some technical issues.
In a nutshell...
The budget was passed.
A motion was passed to approve an insurance deal with Marsh.
The resignation of Barrie Buenaventura, Association Counsel, was accepted. She can stay on until the end of this month.
New legal counsel was appointed (Bennett L. Rabin). See separate post with detailed info on him.
Research is being done on potential new management companies. In addition, there was talk of working with Parkway Management in some sort of way. Ken Colen and Dessa Barabba were both in attendance.
Maria Avdelas, Board Chairperson, explained how each Board member was asked to review the Board applicants, and then pick their favorite four. Each member sent the names of their top picks and reasoning why they were selected. The four were appointed, and here they are...

Maria proudly announced that today was historic. It's the first time our OTOW Board is comprised entirely of residents.
We are hopeful the board members can come together, to work as a team.
