Exo was 12 first but at 2014 Kris and luhan after overdose they left the group So that's why u didn't see them at call me baby and at 2015 after call me baby tao left the group leaving exo 9 members Xiumin , suho , lay , baekhyun, Chen , chanyeol , D.o. , Kai and sehun

Wolf to me was good but the live version just hits on a completely different level the song was elevated in such a way that all though I have both on my EXO playlist I always skip to the live when I need an extra pick me up.

From the bottom of my heart, I really thank you for appreciating Lay everytime he is on the screen. His screentime and lines isn't much, so it really means so much to me it warms my heart when newer fans appreciate him (as he is mostly absent in group activities since 2017/2018 until now). I think that's one of SM artists strength. Not to disrespect other group who already cover SM songs. they can cover all the the dance perfectly, the emotion of the song,and performance stage with details. But noone of that group can cover their vocal. Vocal that i mean not only the high note but the vibe,the feeling, the adlibs, the Belting n more of techinque vocal. In one of baekhyun’s latest interviews before enlisting, they were reviewing his journey with exo since the beginning and obviously wolf was like, their first comeback since debut back then? So they asked him about his opinion on wolf and he said that when he first listened to it, he thought to himself ‘How are we gonna make it with this song’ lol. But I guess it’s not THAT bad. it has some insane vocals, high notes and the remix version of it is such a masterpiece.
So Wolf was actually EXO's first win, and it was their first ever comeback! The song is pretty divisive but I personally have a soft spot for it and it's really easy to go off to lol, but the remix version from their EXOrdium concerts is pretty unanimously loved. What was really special about that era though is that Wolf was the title track for the XOXO album, which was the first album in Korea to break 1 million copies sold in over 12 years. At the time the b-sides on that album were everywhere in Korea, being used on variety shows and played in stores, which is a really remarkable feat for an idol group. EXO basically revived the physical album market in Korea with the release of XOXO, and the repackage had Growl which became a massive hit among the Korean public, cementing their status as the top of the industry only a year into their careers. Growl was such a massive hit they even performed it at the Closing Ceremony of the 2018 Winter Olympics in Pyeongchang, which they were chosen to be national representatives at. I became a fan of theirs when Wolf came out, and I just can't explain the rush that it was to stan them during those times. Since then the group has been through a LOT, but they still maintain such a dedicated fanbase. I think that's a testament to their talent, the quality of their music, and the strength of the members themselves. I may be biased, but the solidarity the 9 members show towards each other even when some are (stupidly) attacked by the public or even bad parts of the fandom, and their resilience to remain as one despite everything, is something I just don't see in most other groups. They'll have their 10th anniversary as a group next year, and some of the members have known each other for many, many more years before that. They are family at this point.
pink haired guy is luhan, he used to be by far the most popular member in the group and he was famous for his doe eyes and flawless visuals. he used to be the other main vocal in exo-m along with chen, while baekhyun and d.o. were the main vocals in exo-k. he's also the only member leaving the group, that left on a good note and is on good terms with the remaining members, in fact he cried in their first concerts with the others comforting him, knowing he'd be leaving soon. hes a great actor and his songs slap (some recommendations: excited, adventure time, skin to skin, catch me when I fall) I'd recommend checking him out!

29:18 girl don't worry at all, they became a "big group" for a reason. The clout that they have recieved all throughout the years was all because of their skills. At first, EXO was labeled as "SM's biggest mistake" but as years go by, they then became if not the most, one of the most successful SM groups. They literally were the ones that brought me into Kpop. Their skills are beyond outstanding. I'm a multistan, and I'm not saying this because EXO is one of my ults (along with NCT), but EXO has to be that group that has members who excels in literally everything, may it be vocally, visually, or in rapping and dancing. Not to mention the amount of passion they put into their career!! Their live performances are 10x better than the studio versions, which is quite unusual to say but trust me hehe. Also, the way they stay humble after all the recognition they got just proves how great EXO is. I've seen a lot of groups and no one's doing it like EXO (i dont mean any harm there pls dont misunderstand). Even my non-exo-l friends think that they are one of the best kpop groups that had ever existed. For me, EXO will always be the best kpop group and no one can convince me otherwise.

It’s hard to describe the power Exo had as a rookie group. It’s like they had the star power of gen 2 coupled with the increased technical ability that gen 3 brought. Their older music never fails to bring me back to a 14/15 year old self. That feeling of being starstuck and inspired is something I miss as I get older but they still manage to give me that at 23. They definitely weren’t perfect but they are indeed gen 3 kings. I’m so proud to have been an Exotic/ExoL 🤍!

No one is ever prepared for Wolf. It was VERY experimental and different for its time and still shocks today. I was not a fan when it debuted but have grown to love it. There’s a whole loop of Chanyeol’s opening line “Chogiwa” (various performances) on UA-cam.
Luhan had the pink hair in Growl (OT12) & Tao was the tall, thin blonde in Growl & Call Me Baby (OT10). Both are classics. SM was going through a LOT in 2015 with Call Me Baby being leaked early, the release of their album EXODUS, Tao quitting a few weeks later and SM rushing to put out a replacement title track (Love Me Right) which wouldn’t have Tao in it. I think the guys had less than five weeks to learn the song/choreo and shoot the video while still promoting the album.

Growl was know as Korea national anthem because of how much it was played during that time. Wolf is a very interesting song because you either love it or hate. Call me baby is one of my all time favorite EXO title tracks (along with Overdose). Love me right is such a fun and funky song.

I agree with you Caitlin cause they are the only group I've seen that they hate not doing live singing on concerts or any performances they do.. there was a time that Chen was asked to performed a recorded song cause he was not feeling well but he stops in the middle of the song apologies and said he have to sing it again live there and then.. DO wants that all there performance are genuine and true.. they can even perform 5 songs continuously live with hard core dances with no drama in between but still their voices are so strong that never waiver, literally hearing it same as studio..

Honestly Wolf is a cultural reset for me...i was not into it at first but the uniqueness of the composition is really interesting and eventually likes it. Call Me Baby is one of the best song in kpop..the harmonization of their vocals, the beats..everything in that song really made me love it! Love me right is the song you'll never get tired of...it puts you into a mood, and it really makes me feel energetic the whole day...and the concept...it truly suits EXO so much! So Wolf was actually EXO's first win, and it was their first ever comeback! The song is pretty divisive but I personally have a soft spot for it and it's really easy to go off to lol, but the remix version from their EXOrdium concerts is pretty unanimously loved. What was really special about that era though is that Wolf was the title track for the XOXO album, which was the first album in Korea to break 1 million copies sold in over 12 years. At the time the b-sides on that album were everywhere in Korea, being used on variety shows and played in stores, which is a really remarkable feat for an idol group. EXO basically revived the physical album market in Korea with the release of XOXO, and the repackage had Growl which became a massive hit among the Korean public, cementing their status as the top of the industry only a year into their careers. Growl was such a massive hit they even performed it at the Closing Ceremony of the 2018 Winter Olympics in Pyeongchang, which they were chosen to be national representatives at.
I became a fan of theirs when Wolf came out, and I just can't explain the rush that it was to stan them during those times. Since then the group has been through a LOT, but they still maintain such a dedicated fanbase. I think that's a testament to their talent, the quality of their music, and the strength of the members themselves. I may be biased, but the solidarity the 9 members show towards each other even when some are (stupidly) attacked by the public or even bad parts of the fandom, and their resilience to remain as one despite everything, is something I just don't see in most other groups. They'll have their 10th anniversary as a group next year, and some of the members have known each other for many, many more years before that. They are family at this point.

pink haired guy is luhan, he used to be by far the most popular member in the group and he was famous for his doe eyes and flawless visuals. he used to be the other main vocal in exo-m along with chen, while baekhyun and d.o. were the main vocals in exo-k. he's also the only member leaving the group, that left on a good note and is on good terms with the remaining members, in fact he cried in their first concerts with the others comforting him, knowing he'd be leaving soon. hes a great actor and his songs slap (some recommendations: excited, adventure time, skin to skin, catch me when I fall) I'd recommend checking him out!

Caitlin is spot on when she says when you hear it you know it's EXO. Suho have mentioned it before that they want to make music for everyone to enjoy which when they listen, they know it's EXO. As EXO is known to be very experimental with the edge of using their vocals as accompaniment, many music producers and songwriters always give them high respect and admiration (like LDN Noise) as a big proud fanboy. 29:18 girl don't worry at all, they became a "big group" for a reason. The clout that they have recieved all throughout the years was all because of their skills. At first, EXO was labeled as "SM's biggest mistake" but as years go by, they then became if not the most, one of the most successful SM groups. They literally were the ones that brought me into Kpop. Their skills are beyond outstanding. I'm a multistan, and I'm not saying this because EXO is one of my ults (along with NCT), but EXO has to be that group that has members who excels in literally everything, may it be vocally, visually, or in rapping and dancing. Not to mention the amount of passion they put into their career!! Their live performances are 10x better than the studio versions, which is quite unusual to say but trust me hehe. Also, the way they stay humble after all the recognition they got just proves how great EXO is. I've seen a lot of groups and no one's doing it like EXO (i dont mean any harm there pls dont misunderstand). Even my non-exo-l friends think that they are one of the best kpop groups that had ever existed. For me, EXO will always be the best kpop group and no one can convince me otherwise.

It’s hard to describe the power Exo had as a rookie group. It’s like they had the star power of gen 2 coupled with the increased technical ability that gen 3 brought. Their older music never fails to bring me back to a 14/15 year old self. That feeling of being starstuck and inspired is something I miss as I get older but they still manage to give me that at 23. They definitely weren’t perfect but they are indeed gen 3 kings. I’m so proud to have been an Exotic/ExoL 🤍!

No one is ever prepared for Wolf. It was VERY experimental and different for its time and still shocks today. I was not a fan when it debuted but have grown to love it.

Luhan had the pink hair in Growl (OT12) & Tao was the tall, thin blonde in Growl & Call Me Baby (OT10). Both are classics. SM was going through a LOT in 2015 with Call Me Baby being leaked early, the release of their album EXODUS, Tao quitting a few weeks later and SM rushing to put out a replacement title track (Love Me Right) which wouldn’t have Tao in it. I think the guys had less than five weeks to learn the song/choreo and shoot the video while still promoting the album.

I agree with you Caitlin cause they are the only group I've seen that they hate not doing live singing on concerts or any performances they do.. there was a time that Chen was asked to performed a recorded song cause he was not feeling well but he stops in the middle of the song apologies and said he have to sing it again live there and then.. DO wants that all there performance are genuine and true.. they can even perform 5 songs continuously live with hard core dances with no drama in between but still their voices are so strong that never waiver, literally hearing it same as studio..

Honestly Wolf is a cultural reset for me...i was not into it at first but the uniqueness of the composition is really interesting and eventually likes it. Call Me Baby is one of the best song in kpop..the harmonization of their vocals, the beats..everything in that song really made me love it! Love me right is the song you'll never get tired of...it puts you into a mood, and it really makes me feel energetic the whole day...and the concept...it truly suits EXO so much! Growl..hands down..one of the iconic song and legend in Kpop history!
