This video took over 8 months to make. You're right about the "by hand" part but not about the "sit there and do the combos over and over" part. That last Ryu vs Dhalsim combo took two and a half days to develop and a full day to actually record. Some of the other combos took twice that long. Those SF2HF and ST combos took forever! Every single clip meant learning and researching a whole new game, since the only game i reused was SF4 at the end. Trust me, there was plenty of "over and over."
Thanks so much for this video and ALL the work you have put on it. 14years already but still so well done. I'd love to see Ken's version as well even if i know this is a lot of work to make a new character. Anyway thanks again so much.

And his journey still continues.....

Man with street fighter 4 i had the time of my life. These special videos, the teasers, announcements, THE HYPE WAS SO REAL. When we saw daigo in the title on youtube, we were like holy shit new videoooo. When there was big tournaments going on, everybody was going to twitch. Godsgarden, topanga, canada cup, capcom cup, EVO. We stayed literally all night awake to watch it live. I remember at evo 2011 the viewer count was at 200K + holy shit i will never forget that, the tournament were poongko was destroying people with his seth, vs daigo, the chat was exploding. Sf4 salt videos, ragers, beefs everything started with sf4. When a sf5 tournament going on, viewers count around 5k and big ones like capcom cup and evo around 20k -30k. Hype is totally dead. Not like old times.
Not only are the combos pretty amazing, the transitions are beautifully weaved together and makes the video seem like one long fight with multiple characters. I definitely appreciate the work put into the video as well as the time you probably put in editing it. It makes it all the more enjoyable to watch!
I know how that feels. Before i started using programmable controllers, i used to spend an entire three-day weekend trying to capture one CvS2 combo for a video. Eventually i got to a point where i got tired of making compromises, so i decided to try tool-assistance. It didn't actually change the amount of time i spend on each combo. It just lets me try more ambitious things.
After all these years, this is still the best fighting game video ever made. The music, the text, transitions, execution of combos, and most importantly, the feel this video gives with what I call the second part, the climax of feels with the help of hadouken theme, it is just perfect. This video is my secret flavor to life, to give my all before i cease to exist, thank you for making it. If you can, make more like this. Thanks again

The scenes are great! Thanks for the upload! The last fight between between Ryu and Gouken is inevitably epic! One shouting "SHINKU" and the other "DENJIN" and the next thing you know is both are shouting "HADOUKEN" at the same time. Cool!
The 90s were an decade with lots of ´´generic´´chars...and thats why I loved them since I grew on that area...hate chars with bizarre/clown looks or who wield huge nonsense weapons or even worse the new gen of effeminated chars that keep spewing from japanese games....its just nowadays people started hating on ´´human´´chars with basic looks...
This combo exhibition was a blast! I was truly amazed by how well the exhibition transitioned from one game to the next. Ryu is almost perfectly synchronised between each transition. Excellent choice of music too!
Still the best video out bar none. I get chills every single time I see the ending, and I've seen it atleast 50 times. I doubt the maker of this video can ever top this masterpiece.

This is probably my favorite combo video right here. I LOVE the transitions, and after making a combo video (that's not that great i might add....), I have come to appreciate watching them even more than I used to. Before I used to only look for damage or the number of hits, but now I see what allows those hits that seem "impossible". For that, I thank you for creating videos like this, so that I may learn. ^_^
