FLYING SCOTSMAN 60103 Visits RIBBLEHEAD on the HADRIAN 14 10 2023

A rare treat as the famous Flying Scotsman visits the north at Ribblehead on a dry and sunny morning . Todays tour started at Derby, with steam from Hellifield to Carlisle, returning via Newcastle and York, filmed at Ribblehead on a sunny start to the day, not my best panning and one camera fogged up in the sun after all the rain we had recently, but kept it in,heavy rain back again pm, thanks to Cath for the viaduct shot and thanks for watching .

Very effective filming Stephen despite mother nature not co-operating. That brilliant sunlight caused problems even on Carlisle station!

Thanks Nige, yes a challenging morning, but no rain at the time of the train, but the clouds were brewing and 20 mins later a shower of hailstones landed, can't seem to keep dry on a good forecast, cheers Steve . 👍 😎🌧

Yes it was packed today with walkers and a run on, not so many filming up there though Idris only one other on the west side lower down, sun was the problem though .
