"Kohlrabi" Means "Cabbage Turnip" The first description of kohlrabi was by a European botanist in 1554. By the end of the 16th century it was known in Germany, England, Italy, Spain, Tripoli, and the eastern Mediterranean. It is said to have been first grown on a field scale in Ireland in 1734, in England in 1837.
Callie helping dad pick and eat Kohlrabi, 10 out of 10. ❤❤❤ Callie doing a Kohlrabi happy dance 15 out of 10! 😊❤❤ what an awesome childhood 🫛🥦🥬🍆🍉🍅🥒🌽🥔🌶️
Look at Callie, she has gotten so tall. Wait till the twins start walking they will be working in the field and taste testing the produce like big sister. ❤❤❤ love from Northern California 😊
I had to laugh at Matthew in the background at 9:32 using the bottom half of his shirt to hold the tomatoes. I often use that method when I forget to bring a bowl to the garden.
Of all the farm sounds you capture, I think the sound of picking peppers is so satisfying. Corn picking is a solid second. I think you could run a quiz round testing people on the sounds the veg makes when it is being picked. What is your favorite farm sound? Thanks for your continued content, it's a pleasure to be a virtual part of it.
There is nothing sweeter than Callie cooking with Grammie. It is so cool that she isn’t afraid to eat those veggies. Those tomatoes look amazing. Yummy veggies. Big hugs to all. ❤❤❤
The best part is Callie, is baking, learning, with her Great Grandma. Knowledge is power, and these Family men and women, are giving her the best education. Callie ears are more aware and brighter than 12 o,clock high Sun.What a blessed family. ❤❤❤
I love how Callie loves to eat from the garden. My granddaughter is 5 and she loves the garden but she will not eat from the garden unless it's peas, green beans and tomatoes. It's nice to see the Veggie Kid enjoying her veggies. And I predict that Callie will be the next baker in the future like Grammy.
I almost can't believe that's Cali, she's growing up so fast right before our eyes and if those tomatoes taste as good as they look they are going to be some good eating.
Those hot cherry, I love the sound of all the peppers being picked, but the hot cherry peppers today did a lot for my sensory need. Thank you. P.S. I love all the bits we get of Callie! She is so adorable.
Thank you for another day of your hard work. So many people benefit from what you are doing. Seeing Callie and her love of eating fresh vegetables was also a delight.
Tell Daniel and Sadie to make a traditional Kohlrabi dish. I’ve never even heard of it until I started watching you. Too bad there isn’t taste-o-vision. 😆
I really like how you take the time to pick a bunch of weeds and feed to the chickens when you feed them grain it’s something you don’t need to do but shows compassion for a caged animal, that’s nice.
God has blessed you, your crops, your beautiful children,,Mom and Pop pop, Allthe brothers and beautiful Wife and mother Lauren. I did not leave Grammy out!!Grammy reminds me of my grandma. I am 71, but I love watching your family, the love and working together!!! I am so glad I found you way back before Callie was even a nugget!! Love as always Linda, from Indiana. 💙💙💙💙
High 80’s and Low 90’s have continued here in the Midwest across Missouri. Next weeks Highs are supposed to be in the High 70’s. Can’t wait for that to happen.👍
Here in Panama City, I planted tomatoes, peppers and Butternut squash in the spring. During the summer the plants got cut back and now at the end of summer the tomatoes and peppers are more beautiful than the spring. Just Sayin !
Wish there was a farmers market here. I love the taste of tomatoes that are grown out in the field instead of a hot house(no taste). God bless all of you.
Most definitely a Daddy's Girl. And her spending time with Grammie will hopefully ensure the tradition of baking all those goodies will continue on. From one father to another AWSOME job to you and your wife. (The entire Veggie Family)
It's so good to see her want veggies. It sure beats the adulterated food found in stores. Fall crops ( greens) going in now all started at home. If you can grow get it in, nothing better than seeing your own crops in the field, garden or container hit the table.
Lily sure is a cutie like her sister and Mother. Glad you are still able to get your Kohlrabi and the Pickling Cucumbers. Oh your tomatoes and peppers are great too! All your produce this year has been good looking and probably tasty. Kudos to Bryan and all the Veggie Boys and Girls!
The best thing about picking tomato's is that tomato vine/plant smell. Always have loved it. Also, fall tomato's means fried green tomatoes and lots of homemade chow-chow. Both old time fall treats for my family and bring back so many good memories.
Good morning Andrew, always a treat to watch the harvesting videos. So much happening, Callie is so lovely, growing up beautifully and the twins are just gorgeous and looking wonderful. I am sure you are enjoying the children do take care. Oh, the tomatoes are so beautiful your dad, Brian, looks so contented looking over the fields when driving back home with the produce. Many blessings to all.
She will be the next generation of proud farmer. To. Keep the farm going she's so intelligent and wants to learn and be involved that's a blessing Andrew
Andrew Callie is a very smart young lady. With the family values and education she is already receiving she is going to have a huge headstart in life. God has blessed your family with the beginnings of the seventh generation of a awesome family 😊
I've been jealous as soon as you guys started picking tomatoes. I'm in zone 10b and it was way too hot for tomatoes in my area. I just recently started tomato seeds for my area because the temperatures are finally cool enough to germinate and grow tomatoes again! A couple of months and I'll be swimming in them. And I get to grow them all winter long and into spring again until next summer. :)
Love your videos, thanks for sharing. Callie is so cute, gosh, growing so fast. Very important to get her out in the fields and help Grammy bake! Cherish these days 😁 how hot are the cherry peppers? I've never seen or tried any
I would love to get ahold of a few kohlrabies for my dad. He's in his mid 80's now. I have tried a few timed to grow them for him, but I guess we don't have optimal conditions for them here in Southern Illinois.
I admit I have never heard of kohlrabi (sp) vegetable before but now I want to buy some. None of the stores in Northern Virginia have kohlrabi. But they have turnips.
Tomatoes are one of those crops there has been a ton of research and plant breeding done. They improve in yield and flavor and appearance every year (and even more so when the weather cooperates). Probably Pop Pop is not exaggerating to say that these are the best tomatoes he's ever picked.
Can you show progression of flowers on the plants on a weekly basis? Late blooms are quite thrilling to see at this time of year; it seems to bring hope into ones day. I'd appreciate seeing what your crops' beginning vegetable looks like too! Thanks.
so nice to see your supervisor taking her job as taste tester so serious.
We agree!

I know!!
Callie and the twins are the new generation of planters and harvesters. Bless them.
I had to laugh at Matthew in the background at 9:32 using the bottom half of his shirt to hold the tomatoes. I often use that method when I forget to bring a bowl to the garden.
My granddaughter is 4. Stella likes watching Callie. She wants a video of Callie and cows and veggies. 🥦

Bring a bunch of Kohlrabi leaves for your chickens!
I bet they would be quite tasty if you were to prepare them like collard greens!
We need more than 60 seconds of chicken pov
Can’t argue with a kid asking to eat vegetables.
She is growing up quickly! Enjoy every moment.
I almost can't believe that's Cali, she's growing up so fast right before our eyes and if those tomatoes taste as good as they look they are going to be some good eating.

Your pepper plants look so good.
Those tomatoes are worthy of a magazine cover! What variety are they?
Love Callie baking with grammy!
The Kohlrabi look just like the little green aliens in the claw machine on Toy Story 😂😂 The Claw!!
lol
Peppers have a unique sound when being picked, I could tell that sound blindfolded.
Tell Daniel and Sadie to make a traditional Kohlrabi dish. I’ve never even heard of it until I started watching you. Too bad there isn’t taste-o-vision. 😆
Kind of like a real mild turnip. My mother always had them in the garden.
I know right. Now I'm headed to the store to buy some and see what they taste like.
Yes, I'd like to see how it is prepared too! Never tasted it or even heard of it until your show.
I just loved watching all the beautiful produce

Look how beautiful and smart Callie is. She loves being out in the field with her daddy and she's gonna be a great cook with grammy teaching her!!!
Thank you for showing the twins so much at the end of your videos. They are growing up so fast! The harvest is spectacular!
High 80’s and Low 90’s have continued here in the Midwest across Missouri. Next weeks Highs are supposed to be in the High 70’s. Can’t wait for that to happen.👍
Loved the End of the Video a Bunch. My Daddy’s a Celebrity. 😬👍🙏
Here in Panama City, I planted tomatoes, peppers and Butternut squash in the spring. During the summer the plants got cut back and now at the end of summer the tomatoes and peppers are more beautiful than the spring. Just Sayin !
That is some seriously beautiful produce! What a blessing!
Wish there was a farmers market here. I love the taste of tomatoes that are grown out in the field instead of a hot house(no taste). God bless all of you.
Google farmers market within your county and I'm sure you'll find one.

Beautiful harvest!
Love to see the wonderful produce!❤
Great job! Agriculture technology is changing the game for farmers everywhere
Wow! Thanks for another vid! I could watch you 8 hrs a day. 👍👍👍
I like eating a fresh ripe tomato just like an apple. My mouth is watering as I watch you picking. With yummy Aloha...
A lot of people don’t realize tomatoes are a fruit. They always call it a vegetable.
You’re so sweet and patient and such a teacher to Cali, Daniel !!! God Bless 💙🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻💞👊

I think it's wonderful that your kids will have so many treasured family moments documented that they can watch whenever they want 😊
I agree
0:26 your family just warms my heart! Many thanks for all of you sharing your lives with us.❤
I love how Grammie is teaching her kitchen skills. What a gem Grammie is!

I just love Callie’s pony tails!! She is so darn adorable!! Love that she likes to help Grammy !! 😀😀
It is always a good day and blessing to go home to your family with those beautiful babies. Before long they will be out there harvesting vegetables.
The best thing about picking tomato's is that tomato vine/plant smell. Always have loved it. Also, fall tomato's means fried green tomatoes and lots of homemade chow-chow. Both old time fall treats for my family and bring back so many good memories.
Every little person needs a Grammy in their life.
Cute Callie dancing 😊

You all worked hard this day picking your harvest 💙💙💙💙
Gorgeous harvest. It seems this year, so far, you have escaped most of the bad issues with the crop.👍👏
Callie has grown tall so fast. She is precious and so smart. I love hot dogs too Andrew
Love your videos, thanks for sharing. Callie is so cute, gosh, growing so fast. Very important to get her out in the fields and help Grammy bake! Cherish these days 😁 how hot are the cherry peppers? I've never seen or tried any
Those babies and the vegetables look gorgeous!!
Your hard work pays off! Beautiful. QUESTION: Do people ever request green tomatoes? (Fried green tomatoes are delicious).
We usually keep a basket stocked at the farm market
I envy you all that fresh produce! I would be eating and canning like crazy.
I would love to get ahold of a few kohlrabies for my dad.
He's in his mid 80's now. I have tried a few timed to grow them for him, but I guess we don't have optimal conditions for them here in Southern Illinois.
Watch you harvest vegetables and fruits. I would love to see it
Tomatoes are so beautiful make me so hungry.
My tomatoes are full of blooms and little green tomatoes. Another couple weeks and fresh fried green tomatoes 😊
I admit I have never heard of kohlrabi (sp) vegetable before but now I want to buy some. None of the stores in Northern Virginia have kohlrabi. But they have turnips.

Callie is growing so fast. Nice she could keep you company. 😊
Those round tomatoes look great. I picked up a couple Beefsteak Tomatoes this week. They made great BLTs. Those rounds would make great sauce too.
Its so fun and amazing to me that Kali eats such a diverse varity of veggies at such a Young age. Good job dad, mom and family❤

Love your happy family!
Thank you for taking us along! Always a great time!
Your channel is truly informative! I applied these tips and saw my vegetables grow rapidly in just 2 weeks!
It's so good to see her want veggies
Hello aunt Becky 🇺🇸🥰
Oh my goodness . Beautiful children so cute .
Amqzing how Callie loves kolrabi

The introduction speech was very nice
Hello from Columbia ky 😊
That’s the best way to get your kids to eat vegetables. When they see how they grow they are eager to eat them
Those peppers are amazing this year!
6:00 I know you know this already, Andrew...but by all that is Holy, treasure these moments with her!!!

👏👏👏👏👏👏🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉 Love from the UK x
love to see that wagon full of veges
The babies are getting big. I was wondering do you feed the cattle silage all year long or just in the winter time?
Those tomatoes are absolutely beautiful! I would love to have about 10 of those for tomato sandwiches.
You call your sweet corn white and yellow. Where we are from its called peaces and cream brand.
That’s what we call it or Jubilee
Known as bi-color in this area. It is the largest seller.
