During the Japanese invasion of the Philippines my father's family in Siargao Island provided food and shelter to the Japanese Imperial Army from 1944-1945. His parents home is open to anyone who are in need of food, shelter and medical attention. They're owners of vast lands, big houses as well as animals at that time. One of their houses was made a Japanese military headquarter. If I'm not mistaken these soldier's mission is to conduct military intelligence operation in concern with movements of American warships and fighter planes in the Pacific as well as digging of gold from Central Asia and Southeast Asia etc. My father told me that the Japanese soldiers are so kind and polite to them. My grandmother's cousin was a Filipino freedom fighter who extended the fight against the Americans in 1924 and then captured in 1931 and executed. He was a Filipino hero. Papa was only 5 years old in 1944 and says that every time when he has wounds a Japanese soldier came in to cure him. He forget the name. He added that every morning the soldiers will went to a mountain near to their farm, will face the rising sun, (seemingly having a prayer and meditation) and then perform the Japanese martial arts as exercise. The family names of the young Japanese officers according to papa and uncle are Kizami, Harada and Kobayashi. Kizami was the overall commanding officer, very strict and a man of discipline. Harada the translator, the closest to them and was once a banana plantation manager in Davao. While in Davao in the 1930's one of his missions was to study the Bisayan language. This is the reason why he was so fluent to the native language and the reason why he was so close to papa's family. He treated papa's parents as his own parent, he called them my tatay (father) and nanay (mother). And Kobayashi the most handsome who fall in love to papa's older sister. She is the most beautiful woman in the village, educated and smart. Kobayashi told papa's family that if ever he will survive the war and might be able to return safely to Japan, he will going back to the Philippines to marry her. Kobayashi added that his family in Japan was wealthy, that he was an alumni of the Army War College and wants to bring them all to visit Japan and met his family in there. After days of stay Kizami immediately gives public warning and instructions to my grandfather and the people in the village. At that time the captain or mayor was my grandfather named Santiago. According to Kizami that any Japanese soldier proven killed by a Filipino or American they will fight back and kill 10 Filipinos or the "1 is to 10 Policy" as a military order from General Hideki Tojo. The Philippines at that time was a colony of the United States. It was a warning as well as to my grandfather and to the people under him. What he did in order to fulfill the warning is to maintain peace and order in the village and he was successful. The only problem is when his nephew and his men visits them to take some food supply. Grandfather's nephew was a guerrilla commander who is a pro-American, commanded the Battle of Digos in Davao and was made governor in the 1960's. In 1945 during Japan's surrender the Japanese forces in Siargao Island under the led of Kizami receive instructions to surrender and return home to Japan. The problem is that Harada had a premonition that the Americans will attack them. Harada secretly told papa's parents to keep him but my grandfather sadly refuse to help him even though he really want to. The reason is because of Kizami's warning of the 1 is to 10 Policy. My grandfather told Harada that if I will keep you my family and people might be in danger. Harada kneel and cried like a child to my grandfather and hug him. The following morning at around 1AM, Kizami immediately give orders to leave and took Japanese warships to transport them back to Japan. At around 3AM or 4AM my father's family and the people heard bombings. According to the fishermen in a place called Punta Sili the American air force came in and started shooting and bombing the Japanese warships. No one survive. On October 24-25, the famous Battle of Surigao Straight the great naval fight took place in these areas. Thousands of young Japanese, Americans and Australians lost their lives. Harada's premonition is true. It was said that up to these days their remains are still there under the sea of Punta Sili.

弱いんじゃなくて元々は対戦車戦は想定しないで中国とかで歩兵支援用に開発された気が...前の方がいう通り中国では普通に強かったらしいですよ、そのあとに戦車とかと戦って新砲搭チハやチヌ?だっけできた訳ですから対戦車戦を想定して作られたのと比べるのはどうかとw
