- Find out how to remove a bike wheel with internal gears in this easy-to-follow video tutorial.
Taking off a bike wheel with internal gears can be a bit tricky because the gear cable connects directly to the wheel hub. Sometimes, there's also a roller or drum brake attached to the hub, which can make things seem complicated. But don't worry! I'll walk you through the whole process in an easy-to-follow tutorial. You'll learn how to disconnect the brake, unhook the gear cable from the hub, and take off the wheel without any trouble.
As promised here's the link to the video tutorial on how to undo a V-brake: • How To Undo And Rejoin...

I’m a big cyclist but don’t know much when it comes to maintenance and fixing them so these videos are so helpful and I’m learning something new. So thank you again 😊
@@mj-cd9lk you're most welcome!🙂
My latest bike has hub gears, they are great. But deralier gears are much easier to drop the wheel out. Especially with a puncture on the road.
I carry a bottle of Slime which can often fix a puncture by pouring it in through the valve stem without having to remove the wheel.
Thanks for sharing your experience with hub gears! It's true, removing a wheel with derailleurs can be much simpler, especially on the go. And thanks for sharing your tip about carrying Slime for quick fixes without removing the wheel, I'm sure some viewers will find it helpful.🙂
Thank you!!
You're welcome! If you have any more questions or need further assistance, feel free to ask.🙂
