What are your thoughts on the Suzuki GSX-8S?
I have one and I love it! Happy to see you got to test one!
Traded in my Duke 390 for a white GSX 8S last week. No real complaints with the Duke but the GSX 8S is a lot more comfortable and I think in the long run the only thing I'll miss about the Duke is its lighter weight. I actually really wanted a CB750 Hornet but still no info on when or if Honda will release them in the US. Considering that bike is all about its engine and the likelihood the US version will be de-tuned like our Transalp Honda may have done me a favor. Love the GSX 8S so far!!!
Looks like a fun bike! How would you say it compares to our 765 RS's?
It doesn't...the RS has a similar engine size in that they are both in the mid 700cc range but its a whole different beast, the RS makes almost 50 horses more and cost almost 5k more, so not really bikes I would be comparing. This would be closer to a Trident than a street triple.
Seems like it would be similar to my Trident, I mean 100 more CC but similar HP and TQ, and also price, I wonder how they compare
Yeah from a spec standpoint they are similar, but honestly I have never ridden a Trident so I can't make the comparison, im hoping to test one out in the spring.
Not sure if the image of the bike is impacted by how nice the ride was or if the bike helps the ride's view
To get back into Motorcycles, this GSX-8S has enough power, weight and compression. Wish 'it' were about fifty pounds lighter, but by today's standards and the price of the GSX-8S, I'll type no more.

Yeah, I agree, for a person returning to bikes after a time away its the perfect balance imo. You get a good amount for the money. As for weight, my Vitpilen 401 was about 60lbs lighter and to me it was too light, it got blown about too easily at that weight. Thanks for watching!
I had a R90 s, 1976 in 1976 that weighted less than 400 lbs., about twenty 'some' pounds less, rode to Panama on the BMW, Carburetor Cable broke, other than that, NO Problems with the weight. Now have a Piaggio 150 Fly. Time to get back while I've still " Got That Feeling " James Brown@@FifthNorth
