Welcome to being a football fan. For the vast majority it's just one false dawn after another. For decades. United fans just thought it would never happen to them.
It's the way it's happening that's the point
I agree. It's been a great run. They require actual support now and dammit, I'm here for them!
@ftbl_vfx4345 most teams don't play in the champions league or win trophies. It's been a rough ten years but think but it could've been worse. No less surprising though...
@@Mnu103It's happening the same way it happens to everyone else. That's the point.
@@Ceaseless_Watcher you don't get it,the club is not collapsing because it has bad players,or because it's just bad, terrible owners and the club being a shambles from upstairs to downstairs
Man, being a man utd fan can be so frustrating. I don't even need them to be the team that won 3 prems in a row again. I don't feel the entitlement that a lot our fans do. I just wish we were a well run team. It's not just a problem of the glazers not investing in our club, other clubs with half our money are run so much more efficiently (villa, brighton, brentford, etc). There are so many times when the decisions being made inside and outside the pitch just make no sense.
No investment to the tune of 400m in 2 years? You must be joking 😂 the manager just didn't know he had it easy at Ajax and couldn't cope and adjust to bigger leagues 😮💨
@@ecofriendly0that's the money that the club generates, or money that the glazers spend by taking debt in the club's behalf. They don't put money out of their own pockets into infrastructure and transfers like other owners do. Even so, my point is that even with all that taken into account, the money we do spend is not well spent half the time. How did someone allow ten hag to spend 90mil on Antony, and how did Ten Hag think that was a good decision to begin with baffles me.
If you spend 400m on scams, that doesn't suddenly mean you've invested properly. @@ecofriendly0
@@ecofriendly0Man U fans are entitled like that, always blaming owners. While there are much worse owners of other clubs. "Not investing" lol what a joke excuse
Gibbs-White's spin was literally a five-star skill move
My favorite types of videos from this channel is ones where you talk about Manchester united. Keep up the great work!
Yeah... i can suggest to change the name of the canal... into "utd fans moaning" or smth... i like the guy... but is man u only topic he well talk about???
As a villa fan, you've beaten us many, many......many times over my lifetime. That defeat was the most painful one though as for the first time, we were favourites and the way our seasons have gone, I really fancied us to do it. Ahhh, it's the season of traditions though, why not continue this one hahaha
Its crazy how United and even us as fans never learn the same lesson. Rangnick said it best. This is a operation of an open heart and its a big process. A process doesnt mean finishing in the top 4 and then immediately going on to challenge for the title, which is what United and the fans think it is. Its building a foundation and a team. Arteta finished 8th, 8th and 5th before they were ready to challenge for the title and play UCL football, but they were slowly building their style of play and identity. United need to do that now. Forget about challenging for titles and playing UCL football, first they need to build a team which has its own identity and style of play.
i am allways wondering how rangick is seen in manu fan base. could you tell me ?
@@p.alterego3424simply, people with a brain miss him as the Director of football, not a manager. People WITHOUT a brain see him as the problem and think he’s a prat.
if a club have an idiot like the bald man as their coach who only f's with his biggest and best stars to just show ''power and authority'' and doesn't care about actual football then you'd never come to the point of return and starting the process of rebuilding.
L, when you spend as much on transfers as we do, results are expected, this is pathetic ands to be honest there never seems to be a vision, contributing to fans frustration, sometimes I’m watching the game and thinking, what is our plan ffs? We are never able to take apart teams ands it’s frustrating and can only really be seen as a fault on our manager
@@kubs1162can’t have results when your team is lost every game
Great journalism, sir. Always on point.
Loving the content. Great work
100% agree
Tinashe, I feel so much for you, man. Was telling my buddy the other day that United at it again would end up with you dropping another vid before new year's.
The problem is not the manager,it’s the entire structure and players, some of these players have sacked 4 managers already it’s ridiculous
I would have listened if the manager didn't have his own players there; and if the team had anything resembling a style of play with recognisable patterns (you know, things football teams with good managers have.)
What a ridiculous comment. I don’t quite know why this idea that it’s not the managers fault has started trending.
How many of the current squad have seen out 4 managers? More or less than number of players who have been terrible that ETH himself signed?
If the team went on a 15 game winning streak would that be all down to the manager? Or the players as well? Because I don’t understand why if team wins=all ETH but when they do badly it’s all the players and glazers fault.
People act like Man Utd is some cursed madhouse which no manager could fix but you haven’t really had a good manager since SAF; just unproven or people well past it.
Get a good manager in and stop buying crap players
@@wephilips6651tell me 1 player that reachable and want to united in this winter transfer window when united clearly need more than 7-8 players. Go on
Funny how these players were amazing out of United, but when in United they become trash, they're calling United the 'Cemetery of Players.'
The football we have been playing this year is fucking doodoo and that's definitely on the tactics, the manager is lowkey trying to sack himself lol@@wephilips6651
Man United is very simple to understand: No high line, no goal.

I am a Barcelona fan, and i gotta say, it's scary how similar to Man United we are looking recently...
Barca thrived on corruption

If Barca played a team entirely made up of La Masia graduates they would finish above Man Utd in the league. Barca would be 5th/6th in La Liga while Man Utd will still struggle to get 7th/8th.
@@Zombie1Boy True, but let's not forget that La liga is not the Premier league (although there are some underrated teams in there, people underestimate Real Sociedad and Athletic de Bilbao)

Another year, another 6th place finish 🎉
Ten Hag is still an amazing manager, at Ajax, he had a space to make mistakes, but at United, its a grave yard, yeah he bought Antony and Mount, Fergie bought Michael Owen, Bebe and Obertan. Every manager has their dud signings, the only problem is because we arent winning, that is why its noticeable. I wont argue with someone who wants him out, but if he were to leave, hed still be a success somewhere else and the fans will go back to craving him again
Basically the story of our treatment with managers for the last 10 years.
Yep. I’ve been hearing some United fans want Moyes again, after being successful at West Ham. Despite the fact that he got Sunderland relegated and had a poor first stint at West Ham. Moyes is good at rejuvenating mid-table teams, not turning sleeping giants into title contenders.
the thing is that he must show he can do it at a big club in a bad situation not at a club which is already doing good and just continue getting credit for guys before him.
the only thing he have done at United is throwing his best players under the bus to show his power and that he is serious. He's first priority is to satisfy his ego then think about how his team are doing!
@@bo4Elite I understand, but he followed winning titles at Ajax with 3rd place and a Trophy, an achievement even Mourinho said was his best at 2nd, he has been stubborn and consistent in his style of play(which has been terrible), but at least the consistency is there. I'm looking at these players and there is no consistency, and there hasn't been for a long time, since Van Gaal, they are good one game and then bad the next. They've also complained about training intensity under 3 managers now, This leads me to believe that they are to blame for this
@@DavidTUTD you're the employer and the boss. you can't get your employees to work shows you're not good at your job. end of story
Actually good presentation on Man U in summary. Well done.
Merry New Year!
I dont understand how scott mctominay gets a hold of all managers' private videos so fast. Mourinho, ole, and now eth.
says more about other more talented midfielders, either the lack of deep lying midfielders in the squad, or are unavailable due to injury, or in previous managers case, too much of a diva to do the role they were asked to do, to an extent that these managers felt better to stick the less skilled hard working young boy in that role who is clearly not at all equipped for that role, but will try to do it.
IMO that say more about other midfielders, for managers to stick with less skilled hardworking young player in that role who is clearly trying to do it despite he is clearly not equipped for said role.
Thank you for putting into words how I feel about this (my) football club. All I can come up with are expletives. Cheers!
Can't believe I wasn't subscribed before this. I was wondering why I missed so many videos. Catch up time. Another great video here. Seems like you never miss
I was shocked Emery continued to play the high line in the second half, the entire game United were exploiting it with long balls over the top into acres of space. I expected so much better from Emery. Half time he should have changed the formation and shut out United, Similar to what West Ham did at the Emirates a few days ago and United would never have been able to break them down.
It's funny because most United fans failed to pick up on that and were adament they were watching the Pheonix rising from the ashes claiming they were back. Only to be humbled by Forest days later...
A lot of villas best defensive players were out tbf maybe he thought they could score more goals
He and Ange both have the tendency to play more aggressive football when given the opportunity to. I think he smelt blood after a 2-0 lead and though offense would be the best defense.
@@spinyslasher6586 thing is if it's offense you have to pressure the opponents win the ball , create chances and score, villa did none of that. They played a high line and were not dangerous in attack at all it was so weird, guys like Watkins barely had any touches in that game

Is this a channel related to football made simple? Anyway, really enjoying both either way. Have a happy new year. 👍
I think united will make a huge comeback after January transfer window as i see that they are targeting players with actual value like 20mil and 40 mil etc.
Yeah, I wouldn’t write qualifying for the Conference League. Europa League even, but let’s not get carried away.
Perhaps targeting 20m players and paying them 80m 😂 and knowing Ten Hag, his training will run them to the ground without any actual improvement on performance and then getting injured as he is desperate for all the players to attempt to press for 90 minutes of the game.
It's no coincident that injuries keep mounting at United and Ten Hags coaching and signings are just bad. No more transfer fees for Ten Hag, just leave it for the next manager.
@@ecofriendly0 true true
Not sure if it's the same in the UK but in the US things like catering and security are contracted to outside companies, not the club itself. I can't imagine a functioning club even having 300 employees to lay off.

Ten Hag: "I keep pretending I know what I'm doing, but then I buy a goalkeeper that's only good with his feet."
Onana was good at inter
@theflashgordon193 only for inter to perform better and leaking less goals once Bonana is gone 😂 bonana was protected well with strong defense and had literally nothing to do, and other than his inability to make saves when It mattered at Inter, the defense bailed him out. At United it is finally exposed that he is slow and bad with his hands. Inter is not top of Serie A with least goals leaked without Bonana for no reason 😂
@@theflashgordon193 Don't compare Inter with Man Utd, Inter is solid, Man Utd is as wobbly as the Titanic when it was sinking.
@@ecofriendly0 you are actually bringing good point
@@theflashgordon193 I checked some old clips while Bonana was playing with Ajax and he hasn't changed much, he stood rooted to a few goals similar to how he is conceding right now at United, which is what worries me. It seems like Ten Hag is really somewhat limited to the Dutch league and not really sure what is required to be a top team or what are real world class players.
Always nice to have these kinds of videos right after excorising all of this years demon with the annual Manchester United Fans Therapy Session Video less than two weeks ago 😂
Miracle is for those who has put in great effort no matter what circumstances they are currently in.

United's key players last season were Varane, Casemiro, Martinez, Rashford and Bruno. 3 out of 5 are mostly unavailable, if they come back early in January and stay fit, that team could still end up with Top 4-5 finish.
You made a video discussing Bayern Leverkusen’s rise to the top of German football this season a few months ago. I feel as if we are witnessing the same thing happen in Spain with Girona and they aren’t getting the publicity they deserve. Will you be making a video talking about them at some point? That teams deserves recognition.
Nah
I think McTominay is a great player for United and its good that he has 5 goals under his belt so far this season, but he should under no circumstance be the club's top scorer at this point in the season. The forwards really need to step up and score more consistently this season.
In case you're wondering (PL stats):
1. McTominay (5 G - 0 A) [MF]
2. Fernandes (3 G - 3 A) [MF]
2. Garnacho (3 G - 3 A) [FW]
4. Rashford (3 G - 2 A) [FW]
I wouldn't fault Højlund too hard yet because he was United's star in their Champions League campaign and his goals should've seen them move onto the knockouts if not for the Red Devils' defensive and goalkeeping woes.
If ifs and buts were candies and nuts then we would all have a magical Christmas.
Ten Hag needs more time, getting a new manager will mean having to adapt to a new manager's play style, this will mean Man U will always face the same problems that they've been facing since Ferguson left. There needs to be a manager (Ten Hag) that will be given time to actually create a team based on their styles.
By next season, United would be another 200-250m short judging by how Ten Hag keeps buying duds. Rather let a manager who knows the world scene better than to waste valuable transfer funds on ex Dutch league players.
Ten Hag is just too limited in everything, strategies, transfers, man management skills. It's just way too obvious 😮💨
We need a video on Girona
Midchester United back to normal
Damn... An honest opinion from a Man U fan? 🤔 Keep it up 👍
I still struggle to understand why a top class manager managed to make such poor transfer decisions.
read about Laurie Whitwell's article on Murtough and the recruitment staff in United, managers are not the only personnel needed to make correct transfer calls, it requires a good recruitment department because it involves a lot of analysis, right contract prep and negotiation work that a manager cannot carry out all on their own. That is one of the major problems that were festered by Woodward and were still carried along by Murtough. Martial still being in the club on that kind of salary is just one example.
I'm not an expert, my bulk of knowledge is legit only from yt videos 😂 but sometimes after the transfer window there will be an underlying feeling that the manager couldn't make the transfers he wanted or that the players they got didn't turn out to be what they expected, and I feel like for united it really does feel like that with the previous window.
The tactics and mentality of the coach and players should also be questioned. United start playing attacking football only after they have gone down a goal or two. 0-0 and they just seem to be happy just passing it around in midfield.
6:17 OLA AINA!!
that's it, that's the comment...mahn that guy pocketed the best 1v1 defender AWB & also pocketed Antony🙌

If we get Martinez Casemiro Mainoo Shaw Hojlund in the starting 11 we are a decent team. We kinda have to play McTominay because we don t have enought depth... Please sell him and play in 10 if u need to😢
It aches as a man utd fan that they keep repeating the same problems over the years. They don't have a sporting director, only acquired ceo. I don't see prospect of the team. Ot feels they are stuck in the mud. I do not know tbh. But I keep supporting them
7:06 it's jealousy
Well, you should see the injury list and the players who ready to play. There is a big difference between man Utd and chelsea.

I'm just waiting for the time when they finally sack Ten Hag and let Bayindir have a try instead of Onana. I'm not even sure if they are trying to believe in the process or just stuck up and refuse to acknowledge that they messed up with their decisions.

United having their worst year in a long while, while their City rivals (who they trolled for decades) had their best year ever - must add to the sting.
Not just City, even Liverpool, their biggest north western rival, is also doing better as well. Ever since 2018/2019 season, people are more excited watching Liverpool vs City than UTD vs City or UTD vs Liverpool because everyone knows UTD will lose to those teams anyways. Sad how such a great club I love fall from grace really hard.
Changing managers all the time isn't gonna change the fact that, when the next manager comes for the time being, he is still stuck with the same players. They need to get rid of all the players, start fresh.. changing managers with the same players is just gonna result in another manager getting appointed, and the circle continues. This club is a dudd

EtH received kickbacks from Ajax for signing Antony at such a high price
Genuinely believe we should have kept mourinho
Man United's biggest problem to me is their transfers in and out of the club. Just from very recent memory you have Sancho, Onana, Antony, Van de Beek who have all been downright failures, then you have players that could be good but are injured/out so often (i.e Casemiro, Varane, Mount). Finally you get players that in my opinion should be let nowhere near the club, simply because of how inconsistent they are, and how frequently they have turned on managers and exercised player power (maguire, martial, rashford, etc). Other clubs deal with bad signings, but it feels like man united has a much higher rate of flops.
Sometimes ETH is the main reason they failed to perform for example they want to control possession but the starting line up in midfield amd forward are Scott, Casemiro, Bruno, Rash, Martial, and Garnacho which is not fitting for that tactic or they want high energy/gegenpress but they put Eriksen when again he's known as a playmaker not energetic midfielder. That's why they struggle a lot this season.
United are nowhere near good enough to be talked about in title challenge for this season and next season, i say next season as currently the top 4 teams are a million miles ahead of utd and they too will add better players end of the season which will keep utd out top 4.
The Radcliffe input will take years for it to be effective because this once dominating club are in such a mess and have brought average player's they need to completely start all over again from scratch, take the captain's armband off fernandes as he is no leader. Use more youth players and hive them freedom on the pitch. Thats what made fergie so successful.
Happy new year bud iv enjoyed your videos this year

Crazy that we will get the next GTA before United win the premier league again
Random idea here, but bring back Jose Mourinho, give him everything he wants, sell all the players he doesn't want, and within 2 years, he will turn the team competitive
He probably will never accept the united job again... He probably is doing better at Roma then at his past time at united ...
@@jameselliott9866 yeah. Gotta admit Chelsea (2nd time), United and Spurs kinda broke him....

it feels like united are relying on their reputation as a big club to intimidate opposition when they are through on goal rather than actually run back and stop them.
Too many inconsistent teams this season as well, title is between City (most likely) and Liverpool. top 4 is more interesting, could be anybody from Villa to Forest.
