The two versions don't serve equally that's the reason for making split tests and for your question, as he said you need to check on the CTR and CVR of that ad group, For the one that has good CTR (click-through rate) and good conversion rate you will keep that, and will close the other one, and will also repeat the procedure of copying the ad and making the copy of that ad for split test.

I think this video would've been more informative by telling people at least how to start launching their GDN campaign. GDN is one of the most potent ways on the internet to light money on fire - tell us about how to not do that :) The optimization process of pre-filtering the garbage starts before the campaign is even launched.
