Great video but I would argue that Ryan Murphy’s 100 back of 51.94 should be at least top 3 arguably even number 1 in my opinion just at face value. My reasons being it is a top 5 all time swim and done in a non-Olympic year.

You should do a side by side comparison of the 400 free Paul Biedermann’s 3:40.07 from Rome 2009 and Ian Thorpe’s 3:40.08 from Manchester 2002

Why? The Rome Championships were a disaster for swimming due to the illegal suits. Biedermann's time any any other from the supersuit era should be scrapped. Thorpe's time should stand as the record

Brad Anderson I totally agree that Thorpe’s record should stand, I just thought it would be interesting to see how the two races compared to one another since they were swam in two completely different ways and still ended in very close times.

Margo Geer swam the breast leg? Wow. This announcer makes me laugh, cry and sick all at the same time. BTW, Blake Pieroni swam a great breaststroke leg. Dressel's backstroke leg was disappointing. OMG, I'm laughing so hard Im going to pee.

The commentator has doubts about names but clearly he doesn't follow the sport because even though Im no expert, I do know certain swimmers only swim their preferred stroke. For example, I know Kylie Masse swims backstroke so I know Canada would not put Taylor Ruck on the backstroke leg. Where is his commonsense?
Was the 4 x 100 med relay the right order? Cause he said Dressel swam back (his weakest stroke) and was close to the WR. Pieroni swam breast even though that just doesn’t even make sense.

I dont like Cate Campbell. She is so arrogant, so so arrogant. But seeing her beating Manuel was so satisfying to me. Americans, specially Rowdy Gaines, thought she was invincible. Despite Sjostrom being faster than her. So it was nice to see her being beaten
How is Cate Campbell arrogant? Even in defeat she congratulates the other swimmers who beat her.
She is not arrogant
Both she and her sister sometimes say some silly things during pool side interviews
And we are all guilty of saying silly things from time to time
and Simone beat her twice at the most recent world champs.

Ya, so this “announcer” is terrible....
I thought the announcer was great and I can only conclude the ones that didnt like him were the losers.
no he’s stupid He mixed up the names of the swimmers (especially in the 4x100 medley mens relay since he thought Caeleb Dressel was swimming free, and he thought Zach Apple was swimming fly)
plus he didn’t know that Ryan Murphy holds the world record in the 100 back not matt grevers so it wouldn’t make sense to say the matt grevers was the favorite so if they are going to have a commentator they should have some background of swimming before they commentate and idk what you are talking about
