My brother passed away (16) when I was 15--just like a lightswitch had been thrown. It's been 17 years now so longer than he was alive and I've wished many times over the years to be able to talk with him about things. The pain does lessen in time, and with that you start to remember the life they lived.
I wish God take care your pain, your son is star in the sky with Chester and other millions angels that passed for this horrible world, they tried to bring one more light for these times

I had a friend I met when we were both seven or eight. He loved Linkin Park's music. I remember how upset he was when he found out about Chester's passing. I know nothing of the band, and simply stumbled across this song. The lyrics brought me to tears, and brought back memories of my friend. He and I were best friends, at least that's what I thought we were. I'll never see him again, I know that. But nevertheless, he was a great friend, and I miss him.
If he sees this, I hope he knows it's him, and it's me who's writing.

When every fan found out Chester passed, we were all in disbelief, as he was healthy and on tour. I can only imagine the million's of tears that day and weeks later could have flowed as a RIVER. No one could replace Chester for the emotion in his songs touched our hearts and mind's. Unfortunately his torchered soul made his songs great 😢

Last year my best friend committed suicide. It still hurts me to think that the person I played video games with every afternoon is gone. It tears me apart, I knew she was having a hard time and I tried to help her as much as I could, I recommended her to go to a psychologist because she wasn't getting better. One day in class his father called me and told me the news, I cried for months and lost 14 kilos of sadness. I still miss her and this song reminds me of her.

I remembered this song about a year ago on a trip to the beach, I’m not gonna say where for safety but anyways once I got to my hotel room I put my stuff where I needed it, it was night time, I got to the balcony, and I’ll tell you, it was one heck of a view hearing the waves, looking at the night sky and the dark ocean, then that’s when this song popped into my head, made me start to realize how good I had it, I thought “thank god” for everyone and everything I love in my life, and I’d like to thank Chester and his buddies for being a relatable shoulder to lean on, not only for me, but for millions of others, rest in peace king

I know how it feels to be lonely bro. I still have my mom and dad thankfully. Never had a gf at 25 and that kinda stinks, but I learned to enjoy the little things in life like going for walks, running, working out, or just being in nature. Don't ever be afraid to reach out to people in whatever areas you frequent and say hi. You'll be surprised at how open people may be to talkng once you break the ice. Lastly and most importantly seek to have a relationship with Jesus. He loves you more than anyone else can! Just cry out to Him and ask Him to save you. Played this song at my cat’s funeral yesterday. She died in my arms to home euthanasia at peace. 19 years of love. I had her through high school, college, and the start of my career. We all lit a candle and held white roses for her. When the song ended, I blew my candle out and placed my rose with her. Thank you Chester for this song. My heart is really really really broken. I'm a 28 year old black male from Nigeria who has been listening to Linkin Park since I was 12. They have always been my favourite band especially because of the deep lyrics and soothing voice of Chester. Their songs helped me deal with most of my teenage emotional troubles and even up to my adulthood. Depression is real and we should always reach out to those who suffer from it. Rest in peace, my big brother Chester.
I had a really similar experience, man. I didn't expect that I'd ever be this heart-broken over a celebrity death, but Chester's singing always made me feel less alone in the world when I was going through dark times. You are right about depression, man. We've got to try and do better as a society, I think. Chester gave so much of himself to his music and we're so lucky for that. May he rest in peace indeed.
