      I actually didn't like this bit--it was low hanging fruit, and Moore didn't really behave unreasonably or ignorantly. Yes, he didn't come out and admit that Alabama doesn't have a good track record on equality or civil rights, but I wouldn't expect anyone to necessarily talk openly about their state's shortcomings in an interview like this. It isn't wrong to be proud of where you're from and accentuate the good.
      The children with guns, Kingman, AZ, reality TV star volunteering, Quinceanera, etc. were all able to capture some quintessential issues we're facing as a country. The Roy Moore interview didn't, in my opinion. It just seemed mean, like kicking someone while they're down.

      Jonathan Boyles - Moore could've acknowledged the bigotry in past and claimed that they've learned from it and improved since then. Completely glossing over it is not a reasonable approach. We're talking about the opposition to desegregation in the 1950's and 60's, not slavery in the 1700's.

His reputation was zilch already. The case he brought against the woman who came forward with the molestation charges was dismissed as well. Roy can ride off into the sunset on his gelding brandishing his little pea-shooter just as he rode onto the national stage. Good riddance, and may the Lord have mercy on your soul, Roy.

      Michael Maccarron, I've been posting about the Brass eye and Chris Morris influence since this series came out. Glad to see another person who recognises this. However, I wouldn't say that Sacha Baron Cohen is outright copying Morris as he has created his own characters and puts his own spin on it. Much like musicians who write a similar genre of music but put their own personalities into the piece enough to differentiate them from one another. But the influence is clear to see and I'm sure that SBC wouldn't deny that. Both are what I would define as genius in terms of intellect, content, and delivery.

      @Ph.D.. 6 років тому +25

      As a former FBI investigator, your statement is correct. The accused not only show us by their behavior, actions, body language, but also their words. For instance, the Watts guy that just killed his wife w/unborn child & 2 daughters in CO... in his interviews prior to confessing, he speaks of his children & wife in the past tense. "They were great girls." He rocks impatiently side to side while standing during the interview & crosses his arms in a defiance/protective stance & stays far from the interviewer. There are other examples, but that's just a few. In Roy Moore interviews on tv, he says countless things that reveal guilt or at minimum he's hiding something or knows more. Some are more noticable than others & wouldn't necessarily indicate guilt by the average person watching or in one singular encounter; but collectively all combined & considered is when you can build a confident profile & come to a reasonable likelihood & eventual conclusion this person is exhibiting deception. Sexual predators in general are one of the easier criminals to profile b/c they are master manipulators & usually have some level of narcissism. You see this in Roy Moore, Trump & others that are accused. They will go to their grave denying it before admitting they did anything wrong even when caught or worse say something like, "She wanted it." "She said she was 17." "The girls loved being naked around me.", etc. These kind of people have a high recidivism rate & are not easily treated or cured of their behavior & desires, sadly. Hence, why we have the sex offender registry.
