@@TimelessGap2 Tiffany produced Villain, she even made a demo itself. She wrote it first in English, it's clearly evident in the credits. Sooyoung contributed in the korean lyrics and even titled it. As far as I know seventeen was written by sooyoung but yeah regardless, they both contributed in this two songs. It's unfortunate that Yuri and Seohyun didn't participate writing due to their busy schedules since they also wrote some songs back then.

The story is kinda like ITNW where each member is doing their thing except in this they are all working their ass off like the real artist they are in real life (singer Taeyeon, DJ HYO, actress Yoona, jetsetting Fany, musical actress Seohyun, modelling Yul, superstar Sunny and Soo). But of course they still come together as SNSD, as one! 🥲
Sunny is really killing it. I mean, her part is is my most fave in villain and almost all of the songs but I was really caught off guard with Villain. That was super awesome!

47:34 Yuri and Yoona are still in SM though! That aside, I think the album is great overall! Some songs would need you to be in the mood to really like them. I am the same when I first listened to the whole album. Forever 1 (the song) left a great vibe to me... so it was kinda hard for me to vibe with the other songs on first listen (without the lyrics tho) but I know I am going to listen to them more after. My favorites after first listen (aside from Forever 1) are Lucky Like That, Villain and Paper Plane but I think Freedom and Mood Lamp are growing on me haha.
Yes! When I first heard it from the teaser I was like oh that's nostalgic. I thought they just put it there bc it is meaningful, but I found out from last night's live countdown that Kenzie, who composed ITNW, was also the one who composed Forever 1 and other side tracks in the album.

I think the concept is, despite the members doing their own thing, they will still be one.. Taeyeon doing her solo, yoona, sooyoung, seohyun and yuri as actress, tiffany going back and fort to and from the US, hyo as a dj and sunny doing varieties.
In this comeback I found that Sunny vocals really one of my favorite, its like a cotton candy, so soft yet not overly sweet/cute, when she sing in soft song it tickles your ears but when she sing upbeat song her vocals punch your ears, it so so good. I also think Hyo is finally officially become our main rapper since she got almost all rap part in this album. I love 'Forever 1' everyone who listen and watch the MV always said that that song is SO GG, I heard that even from non fans, the part after bridge where they do slow motion, makes me tear up because : 1- it remind me of 'The Boys' opening. 2 - The lyrics : As we lived through this world I said to you I will love you again in my next life Cause we are the one.. 😭 My tears just fall after that whole emotion just pouring out I'm so glad they keep their identity when pick main title yet their b-side is more playful and bold. I absolutely think this song is a love letter to SONEs. The gang is saying thanks for being with us even when we weren’t “us”. The video shows what they’ve all been doing the past five years: Taeyeon performing alone; Yuri doing modeling work; Hyo DJing; Sunny going to talk shows; Yoona at a film set; Sooyoung at a movie premiere; Seohyun on a musical stage; Tiffany flying back and forth from Seoul to LA.

Sooyoung was giving me heart palpitations in the Forever1 MV. As for HYO, I was also so happy she had lines and so early into the title track. It’s nice watching a fellow HYO stan react because I can count on you to make sure she isn’t forgotten.
It feels so unreal that SNSD is back. Half a decade of waiting and we're finally here. I can't even complain about anything I'm just too grateful that they're back. A lot of the songs in the album has references to various stuff about SNSD like how Paper Plane is a reference to when sones flew thousands of paper plane with messages during their concerts as a fan event and You Better Run being a sequel to Run Devil Run. I love Forever 1, Lucky Like That, Villain, and Paper Plane the most.
I also tried to connect their scenes to previous comebacks, as their teaser were called "mr. taxi" and "new gee" and there was something about "into the new world" too, so the plane reminded me of Party where they start inside of a plane going on vacation, Hyo's party reminds me of all night, the set they are dancing on with colorful clothes reminds me of paparazzi, just any glamour/theater entrance/limousine reminds me of Twinkle, but that's only TTS and Sunny or Sooyoung were not in TTS hahaha. But after all what's seem to be confirmed is that the story of the teasers and it seems like the MV too is they were doing their individual activities, such as DJ, solo singer, model, actress, (and manager Hwang of course) and they go into the Mr. Taxi that transport them "into the new world" which is their group reuniting again. Alsooo I think Hyo deserved more screen time! It's not a SNSD comeback if we are not petitioning for more Hyo time! hahahaha and the bridge is always so weird SM, whyyy hahaha they jumping around in a collage randomly hahaha, as you said, not SM if it's not a bit weird and also if they don't do bizarre VFX or weird english lyrics hahaha
They finally treat Sunny like a Lead Vocalist 😭 I feel like the last time I heard Sunny did an adlib on the last chorus with the rest of the vocal line was in Mistake from Hoot album which was in 2010 I feel like no one really "shine" this comeback as all of them shine together with their own uniqueness. They didn't make Taeyeon belt every song everywhere everytime but they still gave her good belts, Tiffany showing and serves her improvement over the years, Seohyun show off her riffs and runs in this album, Sunny's voice finally being utilized, Yuri finally get the line distribution and vocals she deserves, Sooyoung's vocal and how she and Tiffany write and composed some of the songs? You go queen. They use Yoona's sweet voice and cute rap in the best way possible, Hyoyeon's vocal in this album is something we needed also her confidence in her rap in this album. The dance line vocal delivery is sub vocalists revolution. Each member slay ❤️
I realize that I'm old now. I still remember when my first time heard about Kpop, it's all because of Girls' Generation (2012 when I was 12). The original Nation Girl Group, original Vocal Queens, original Kpop Queens and original Kpop Legends. Girls' Generation 👑 Debuted in 2007 and still relevant till now. Queens indeed
I loved Mood Lamp the most!! Amazing. Also Lucky Like That, Villain, and Freedom. but I wasn't that big a fan of the title track. Just feels like a paint-by-the-numbers Gen 4 track rather than something cohesive. I did love finally seeing 8 of them together again for the video, though, which was gorgeous and GLOWING. Anyway Sunny is the MVP this time holy shit WHERE IS HER SOLO ALBUM, WE ARE W A I T I N G.
Is it me or You Better Run is one of my favorite track? We can see another side of SNSD, and how they’re so brave to get out of their comfort zone. And we can see what their voices can do.

there's so many references for SONES to notice, like the ITNW melody in F1, the SONE and ITNW lyrics in Lucky Like That ( 23:20 ), or the lyrics in You Better Run ( 26:25 - "I've said it before, the day i become cooler, I'll repay you, that's now, I'm ready" ) which are a response to the Run Devil Run lyrics "the day I'll become cooler, I'll repay you, don't forget". i just love how they sprinkled all the little treasures in their album.
BTW if we omit the ad-libs at the end - the line destribution in Forever 1 is almost euqal with 2-3 seconds difference between the girls, and Yuri have the most "real" lines wich is unheard of. And Yuri is too still with SM

I think it depends if you keep track on their solo activities, you will notice immediately what the video and the music itself is all about. the lyrics are dedicated to the fans, it's like saying that Girl's Generation is FOREVER, and the love and appreciation they feel towards the fans are FOREVER. and we are all FOREVER and united as 1, that's FOREVER1. :)

They’re part of a Korean rnb-crew called øffshore, and have written songs for many different groups like GOT7, Wanna One and NCT. They’re great!

I love the Forever1 MV really. The lyrics says they are forever one, even though solo shots indicates their solo activities. Even though they aren't physically together, they will Forever be together in their hearts and their fans'. In Yoona's scene btw, it's just plain representation of acting on a green screen. Sooyoung was giving me heart palpitations in the Forever1 MV. As for HYO, I was also so happy she had lines and so early into the title track. It’s nice watching a fellow HYO stan react because I can count on you to make sure she isn’t forgotten.

It feels so unreal that SNSD is back. Half a decade of waiting and we're finally here. I can't even complain about anything I'm just too grateful that they're back.
A lot of the songs in the album has references to various stuff about SNSD like how Paper Plane is a reference to when sones flew thousands of paper plane with messages during their concerts as a fan event and You Better Run being a sequel to Run Devil Run.
I love Forever 1, Lucky Like That, Villain, and Paper Plane the most.

I also tried to connect their scenes to previous comebacks, as their teaser were called "mr. taxi" and "new gee" and there was something about "into the new world" too, so the plane reminded me of Party where they start inside of a plane going on vacation, Hyo's party reminds me of all night, the set they are dancing on with colorful clothes reminds me of paparazzi, just any glamour/theater entrance/limousine reminds me of Twinkle, but that's only TTS and Sunny or Sooyoung were not in TTS hahaha.
But after all what's seem to be confirmed is that the story of the teasers and it seems like the MV too is they were doing their individual activities, such as DJ, solo singer, model, actress, (and manager Hwang of course) and they go into the Mr. Taxi that transport them "into the new world" which is their group reuniting again.
Alsooo I think Hyo deserved more screen time! It's not a SNSD comeback if we are not petitioning for more Hyo time! hahahaha
and the bridge is always so weird SM, whyyy hahaha they jumping around in a collage randomly hahaha, as you said, not SM if it's not a bit weird and also if they don't do bizarre VFX or weird english lyrics hahaha

They finally treat Sunny like a Lead Vocalist 😭 I feel like the last time I heard Sunny did an adlib on the last chorus with the rest of the vocal line was in Mistake from Hoot album which was in 2010
I feel like no one really "shine" this comeback as all of them shine together with their own uniqueness. They didn't make Taeyeon belt every song everywhere everytime but they still gave her good belts, Tiffany showing and serves her improvement over the years, Seohyun show off her riffs and runs in this album, Sunny's voice finally being utilized, Yuri finally get the line distribution and vocals she deserves, Sooyoung's vocal and how she and Tiffany write and composed some of the songs? You go queen. They use Yoona's sweet voice and cute rap in the best way possible, Hyoyeon's vocal in this album is something we needed also her confidence in her rap in this album. The dance line vocal delivery is sub vocalists revolution. Each member slay ❤️

but I wasn't that big a fan of the title track. Just feels like a paint-by-the-numbers Gen 4 track rather than something cohesive. I did love finally seeing 8 of them together again for the video, though, which was gorgeous and GLOWING.

there's so many references for SONES to notice, like the ITNW melody in F1, the SONE and ITNW lyrics in Lucky Like That ( 23:20 ), or the lyrics in You Better Run ( 26:25 - "I've said it before, the day i become cooler, I'll repay you, that's now, I'm ready" ) which are a response to the Run Devil Run lyrics "the day I'll become cooler, I'll repay you, don't forget". i just love how they sprinkled all the little treasures in their album.

BTW if we omit the ad-libs at the end - the line destribution in Forever 1 is almost euqal with 2-3 seconds difference between the girls, and Yuri have the most "real" lines wich is unheard of. And Yuri is too still with SM

it's not weird, every scene shows their individual activities/career as solo artist, I easily got that the first time I watched the music video. I think it depends if you keep track on their solo activities, you will notice immediately what the video and the music itself is all about.
