    I HAVE TO CORRECT ONE THING-MIX MASTER MIKE DIDNT CREATE THE CHIRP-THAT WAS ALREADY DONE BACK IN THE 80'S WHEN JAZZY JEFF DID IT AT THE LIVE AT UNION SQUARE JOINT IN 1986.EVEN DJ CASH MONEY IS SAID TO HAVE DONE IT AT THAT TIME AS WELL SINCE HIM AND JEFF USED TO DJ TOGETHER AS THE TWINS OF SPIN BACK IN THE EARLY HIP HOP DAYS IN PHILADELPHIA(1980'S)

      How many videos do you have with this amount of traffic? It's not feasible for this man to be able to answer everyone's questions... especially when they don't pertain to what he is teaching... I mean come on, quit being lazy and use Shazam or any other beat ID'ing software...
      Ingrates!

    • @kenhenry2319
      @kenhenry2319 7 років тому

      LebannersHook my man... I asked a simple question... he can answer or ignore it. Idgaf. I was watching on my phone so a Shazam wasn't impossible. Get a life.

    • @LebannersHook
      @LebannersHook 7 років тому

      Kenteus Henry see that's your problem, you think he's ignoring you, LOL. guarantee he never saw your comment. Like I said with the amount of traffic there's no way he could keep up with reading every comment. And you clearly do give a f, otherwise you wouldn't be sitting here commenting right now. And if a beat ID software wasn't possible at the moment then why didn't you just wait? It took me all of a few seconds to figure out who the beat was using a beat ID software. Less time than you took the comment. And bro, my life is amazing! I wouldn't trade it for the world!

    • @DJDAMIAN72

      U don't mix from hip-hop to house music, that's ridiculous, the 2 ways u can go from one style of music to another style with a completely different tempo is to stop the song playing slowly like when u turn off a turntable & u can hear the record getting slower & slower...
      the other way is to add a delay FX to the song playing then stop the song while the delay continues & as it starts to fade away u drop in the new song.

    • @musicguy116
      @musicguy116 8 років тому

      +L. Damian thx for the response. And if you read correctly, i didnt say from hiphop to house. i said from hiphop or house, to dnb. :)

    • @DJDAMIAN72
      @DJDAMIAN72 8 років тому +2

      +Renzo Doorschodt
      Yeah and I used 2 of the music styles u mentioned to use as an example, u can't mix different types of music with totally different tempos, if u try to blend the 2 extreme tempos the songs will sound horrible....
      U can however sometimes mix some D&B with some hip-hop if it's half the tempo, for example like if the jungle song is around 170 bpm & the hip-hop song is around 85 ppm, that's half the tempo and u can mix the 2 together, now it depends on the songs & your mixing if they'll sound good together but the bpm will match.

    Way back in 1987 I had 1210's and scratched and mixed old school hip hop. I've just started again after 30 years! with a Numark IDJ Pro and I'm finding it difficult. Firstly, its a different technique as a 12" record has a larger diameter than a small gog wheel and its easier to do the Colley scratch. It jsut seems more difficult on the controller to do everything. The cuts dont seem as sharp or clear or have a great attack. Has anybody else found the same when transistioning from one to another? And damn I used to be good...

    don't you lose the queue when you scratch while cutting over? eg. deck 1 is playing song #1 and deck to is queued up at 15 second mark (to cut intro of song etc). when you start using deck 2 to scratch how do you keep the two songs in sync so that when you make the cut song 2 does not start too early or too late? does that make sense?

    Can someone please answer this question for me? Will I be able to perform technical cuts such as crabbing and flares and use the pads like I do with maschine for cue points? Or is this controller more for mixing house with little interaction with the controller involved. I want something that can take a little bit of a beatingand from the looks of this controller and the reputation of pioneer I hope this controller can withstand heavy scratching.

      You can do both options. The MASTER OUT terminal (RCA pin-jack type) allows a speaker connection. You have all info on page 7 of the manual: goo.gl/RLv8Xe You will need then to configurate the audio from the software you're using.

      Hi! Two tracks don't have to be in the same key to mix them together. The most important thing is to match their tempos. It's only important to match their keys for mixes where the tracks play together for a long period of time.

      ddj - sx is way better for a controller.

    • @DJDAMIAN72
      @DJDAMIAN72 10 років тому

      Vicky Divine
      Yeah the DDJ-SX & DDJ-SR r dope for real DJ use, anything less is cool just to play with at home & for beginners.
      I have turntables & a Traktor Z2 but i just got the DDJ-SR and as dope as it is now I want to maybe trade it in for the more professional DDJ-SX with the built in mixer & it's own power cord, instead of my DDJ-SR sucking power from my macbook, I don't like the idea of that when it comes to professional use or recording and if my serato software or computer was to freeze it would totally suck without a real built in mixer to play an outside source like an ipod or iphone in the meanwhile!

    • @DJDAMIAN72
      @DJDAMIAN72 10 років тому

      Aqua | Fresh™
      The DDJ-SB is cool for playing around but not really that good for real professional use, dope entry level controller for beginners but u get what u paid for... if u spend under $500 for a DJ controller you're basically getting a cool little toy to play around with at home & not a professional piece of DJ gear, it's only logical!

    • @DJDAMIAN72
      @DJDAMIAN72 9 років тому

      +Fresh™
      $300 is nothing for important music equipment, before these new controllers u had to spend about $1000-$2000 for professional DJ equipment like turntables & a mixer or CDJs & a mixer, that's not counting the speakers & lights if u wanted that, nowadays u can get a dope professional DJ setup for $500-$1500 thanks to these new controllers, so anything under $500 is just a beginners toy, I checked them all out last year 2014 when I bought my pioneer DDJ-SR ($600).. and as dope as that controller is I now wish I had bought the more professional Pioneer DDJ-SX2 ($1000) or the Numark NS7ii ($1500), in my opinion the 2 best DJ controllers out in 2014!
      In a way when things r more expensive/less accessible it keeps out the wack imitators who r not serious about this & in it for the trendiness and it brings in those people who really want this & worked hard to get this cause they really feel it...just like back in the day u had to go all out if u wanted to make beats & spend like $1500-$2500 for beat machines or keyboards but now any wack imitator can buy a cheap $100 software & think they're a producer! lol

      Macbooks are generally good for djing and music production but are on the expensive side, but honestly just get anything that is a decent price

    I have serato Dj (not intro), but there is no option to change the cross fader curve like it looks on yours. My menu doesn't look like that. Any thoughts?

      Like Mark Rodrigiuez said, you could use the kick drum or snare. You can also get free scratch tools (samples and beats) with my scratch tutorial video's. There is a download link in the description of all the tutorial video's.
