The Sugababes performed an amazing set at York Racecourse on the 23rd of July 2022. The 'babes were flawless as always, but apologies for any sound or motion issues in this video, it was a tight squeeze at the front.
This performance was stopped part-way through because of an incident in the audience (the 'babes handled it perfectly) - it was resolved quickly and we got to hear the first verse/chorus twice, so bonus for us!

Those girls are some of the most genuine and down to earth people I've ever seen. So happy for their comeback. Wishing them every success. Flatline deserves this attention, it's nice to see they still perform it. Hopefully once they eventually put out a few new albums in the coming years, the many (*many*) 'line-up elitists' will shut up about former members or fake news controversies and just appreciate Mutya, Keisha and Siobhán for the pure talent that they are.

Not sure if others would agree, but having Siobhan back in the group sorta gave Mutya more life and energy..It's as if she found her renewed love for singing and performing..
That's a really good point, she kind of hinted towards what you're saying in a BBC interview and it made me want to support them even more of that makes sense? They seem to WANT to work together and I love the sisterhood 🥰

Flatline is for me the most underrated single to be released by a U.K. group in the 2010s ! Like it deserved so much more I’m blessed I got to see them perform it back in 2013 on the sacred three tour! They still sound so good😁

@@DavesDeepDive yeah it was the last song on the last day of their tour I actually have a little snippet of it on my channel from yearsss ago if you wanna see lol. But I’d say I enjoyed the snippet of “boys” they did, too lost in you, freak like me and of course stronger from my memory it was soo long ago I can’t believe it’s been 10 years nearly 😫

@@DavesDeepDive quality sucks lmaooo this was a decade ago haha and UA-cam put the anti-shake thing on made it look worse but yeah the vibe was very much buzzing the fans loved Siobhan cheered even hater Every time she sang a verse of a song she hadn’t recorded. And by the end it was such good vibes. 😁

I can't believe there were haters on the MKS tour!? That really is a joke! Anyone who was a fan from back when they released One Touch is so grateful and happy that these three reunited, it's that chapter of the story that we never thought we'd get to see play out, never mind getting to hear them sing their back catalogue, regardless of who originally recorded the song. I don't see a problem, the original recordings and tons of live performances (with each line-up) are here on UA-cam - now we're getting to see the OGs honour the legacy and I just can't believe how lucky we are. Guess haters always gonna hate but I'm glad it was all good vibes by the end 😁

The videos really don't do that justice to be honest, but I agree with you totally - there's a magic that emanates from these ladies when they sing together. So underrated! They now have #justiceforflatline and it's back on streaming services so we just need to start the movement to #releasethesacredthree - of course a cheeky live recording album release of this "Summer Anniversary Tour" would also be a dream come true - we can only hope!

@@DavesDeepDive I could never do photoshop. It gives me headache with those so many tools and options. You’ve done a great job. I wish I have thumbnails like that on my videos. I have recorded videos too when they did a support act for Westlife in Dublin. It was my first time seeing them live and it felt surreal. I was extremely happy.
You're right about the tools and options, it's very daunting! When I was still at school we did use photoshop in IT - it gave me some tidbits of useful knowledge but that was a long time ago, and if you don't use the skills you seem to lose the skills lol, so it's a re-education for sure ;-) Now when it comes to video editing, I have no prior skills or knowledge so I'm definitely wondering around in the dark on that one, but if you have some images and an idea of what you want I'm happy to help a fellow fan pull together some images for your thumbs, no probs ;-)

Omg when they stopped the performance. What is the world coming too… makes me worry going to festivals in the future all this bottle throwing I’m just glad they didn’t aim at the stage … It still sucks though like Look how they did kid cudi.
Thanks so much for watching and commenting! It does look like a festival setting but it was at York Racecourse, a really lovely venue to be fair. Aside from the lady who collapsed at my feet, this was the only incident and it was resolved immediately. I understand your trepidation though, it crossed my mind before I set off but I'm so glad I went, it was amazing!
Yes I was shocked when they said someone was throwing bottles!
That happened when they did Glastonbury back in 2003, the act that was on before them got bottles of piss thrown at them and the girls had to go on and perform on the stage straight after. People are crazy and obviously quite disgusting.
@@DavesDeepDive ohh okay good glad you enjoyed aswell. Yeah I go to a lot of festivals other the years. This year I went wireless in Birmingham and although I had a good time there was alot of things that reminded me why I don’t want too go to such big events. I realise for me concerts are better and safer in a sense. I think a sugababes concert will be different and also have longer sets I can’t wait to see them in October 😁👏🏾.
I really enjoyed it at York the atmosphere was buzzing and I am an original line up fan.. loved their garage, R&B sound. MKS were UKG ravers back in the days. ❤️
Siobhan needs to NOT be the spokesperson about the ‘name’. I love the OG’s but it seems to grate on people because she left after 1 album and if it wasn’t for ‘others’ there wouldn’t be a name to ‘fight’ for. Now Keisha, maybe even Mutya saying it, may translate better.
I understand why you might feel that way - that thought honestly never entered my head, she is as much a founding member as Mutya and Keisha and I think their focus is more about a huge celebration of the amazing legacy (and name, which started with and now continues as Mutya Keisha and Siobhan) - they had a battle for 9 years to get the name back, that gives her every right to say something, because she literally does own it with the other 'babes - after a long battle and much work - but I am with you that nothing takes away from the legacy of the other line-ups. I still listen to the Sweet 7 (JAH line-up) album to this day, I love all of their work - but so do this line-up, you can tell. They're not trying to re-write the Sugababes history but they are carrying the torch forward, let's just celebrate that ;-)
@@DavesDeepDive the main reason I say it is because it’s what I’m seeing on social media every time she talks. My ultimate line up is the OG’s. But just feel the general public hear Siobhan talking about ‘rightfully owning’ and take it as discrediting Heidi. And that view has to shift for them to really have a chance at new successes. But I’m here for them.
People do love a narrative - I think these videos from the show at the weekend demonstrate the love and light this trio brings, here and now, today in 2022 when there's so much darkness in the world. There's no hate or disrespect, it's just not what this is about and as much as I don't know them, I think they'd be gutted to think people thought there was anything negative in what they were saying.
I know you probably know this but for anyone who doesn't (and pls correct me if I'm wrong) my understanding is that this was a legal battle with previous management/record company, not a battle between the girls/former members and I've also seen that some people out there want to turn it into that :-( Such a shame, but like you, I remain here for them and cannot wait to see what their future holds!
@@DavesDeepDive well, when Mutya realised Sugababes wasn’t trademarked and applied for the application, other members were then contacted about this and that’s where the ‘battle’ came into play. But ultimately the name was ‘owned’ by a Management Company rather than members. And none of the others necessarily contested the ownership going back to MKS. There was also a lapsed period where the name wasn’t being used which helped their cause. Had HAJ still been active, it would’ve been a costly battle MKS wouldn’t have won. But everything works out as it should….eventually, lol!
@White Patterns that’s not true. Keisha and Siobhan are very close these days. And Siobhan is very content with her standing alongside Mutya and Keisha.
