- Have you ever wondered how racket stringers stencil your badminton racket? Stencils are painted on designs on the strings of a badminton racket. Most of the time these designs are the logo of the badminton racket brand.

Enjoyed this video, more so your explanation of the pros and cons of stencilling the racquet string - good looks versus practicality. Waxing the string is a very old idea which probably dates back to the 1960s. I remember growing up in Malaysia as a young boy, using wooden racquets, the quality of the strings back then were so distant from the strings of today; there is no comparison. To make the strings last longer using candle wax was quite common back then. Today our standard of living is much higher, that we don’t really concern ourselves about making things last, as we also live in a throwaway society. Just thought I share my thoughts with you. Btw I understood what you said in Bahasa Malaysia as well. Keep the videos coming Halim.

Master Halim can stencil dmg or affect performace of the racket ?
As Master Halim mentioned and as how i understand it, the trajectory of the shuttle might be slightly affected as the cock head might slip when it goes into the stenciled surface.

Setiap tali yonex ada texture/teknologi dia tsendiri yg buatkan bila kita senang control masa pkul shuttle , mungkin bila kita slice bola dlm game/buat cross court shot ke. Kalau cat logo ni kt tali, cat tu create lg satu lapisan kt tali n tutup texture tali yg asal. So rasa efek la sikit pd performance tali tu. Yg aku fhm la dr video ni. Hehe

Hi sir, hope that you will be able to reply me. I have a question about stencil ink. If it's Li-Ning stencil logo, it will not cover the sweet spot of racket right ? So it won't affect much for technical and practical wise ?
