He made a pit, and digged it, and is fallen into the ditch which he made. His mischief shall return upon his own head, and his violent dealing shall come down upon his own pate. Psalms 7:15-16
Praise the Lord!🙌 Thank you also Pastor Paul for thoroughly & correctly explaining this Psalm. I found it hard to comprehend since yesterday. But now it's sooo much clearer.❤️ Glory to Jesus!
I feel you David! I'm not sinless, but if ever accused, let it be true of me; not a lie. I struggle with that. I'll take my medicine when I should. I yearn for Unity and forgiveness. Only GOD can do it!!
Lord as ic continue to listen to the study of these Psalm and today Psalm 7, I thank you Lord for the truths that I never understood although I have read so many times, and the cross references that I never understand. Thank you Pastor , you were found by the guidance of the spirit. Blessings of praise and thanks.
Second best minister imo… to my dad that’s past on. My dad got a bath and Jammies on… went to do his bathroom skills and came out and went back to bed and past away at 92.
Oh and my thought was”hmmm dad always got bathroom skills down before any trip… but this time it was the best trip he ever went on. I miss him but just knowing I’ll see him again is so comforting.
Thank you. My favorite verse in this chapter is verse 10. My defense is of God, which saveth the upright in heart. I pray I will wait upon the Lord to avenge things said and done against me and not take action myself with angry words or actions that do not reflect a Christian who belongs to God. Help me to wait upon God.
This relate to my problem so much I thank God for the answers that he gave to me. I feel so blessed and heard. This gives me hope that no matter what the enemy has done to me or say to me that doesn’t suit my character or personality, it says a lot about them or what they do to people will actually go back to them so I also have to be careful of how I correct others because it will be a slapped on my face in the future.
Same here... Our God is so good. He knows everything we go through He cares so much 🩷🩷🩷🩷 I feel so validated and seen by him.. I love this psalms. Thank you my God that you care about what is on our heart always !!!
This lament psalm is basically a plea for divine vindication in the light of the oppressor’s allegations and actions. David’s confidence in the Divine Judge is the backbone of psalm 7. As this truth grips him more and more, he will move from a tense anxiety to a transcendent assurance. The superscription indicates that the psalm was written while David was being ruthlessly assailed by Cush the Benjamite, who was evidently one of Saul’s radical kinsmen. David makes his appeal to the Lord and to the Lord alone; he was all in with the Lord and he had no other plan of deliverance. David's protestations of innocence refer to these specific charges and are not a claim to be sinless. David asks the Lord to punish him if there is any truth to these charges. He calls on the Lord to rise up in judgment because it is "God who tests the hearts and minds." David believes that he is innocent of these charges and that God will defend him because "God saves the upright in heart." David knows God to be a just judge. And he knows God will deal with the wicked severely. David states that the wicked bring about their own destruction and they fall into the pit that have dug for others. The trouble that the wicked have meant for other "will return upon their own head." David ends by praising the Lord for His righteousness and by "singing praise to the name of the Lord Most High." Psalm 7 can be seen as a prophetic look forward to when Christ returns to judge the wicked and reward the faithful.
Thank you ...I’ve learned so much from these teachings. It’s given me a new appreciation of the Psalms....I now understand how to appropriate them in my life. I see the fruit of delving deeper as opposed to just reading.. the Psalms are so relevant for daily living the Christian life. Will you do the same with the book of Proverbs please?
I am going through a similar situation, and season and I love how God knows and cares. He surely knows how to comfort us and let us know he's there 🩵🩵🩵🩵🩵 I love him so much !!!! He is truly so good, and kind.
What we do to others we do to ourselves.

O Lord my God, in thee do I put my trust: save me from all them that persecute me, and deliver me:
Psalms 7:1
This so enriched my quiet time this morning.

Pray that we can use our gifts, just as how Paul uses his.

Being falsely accused right now. It’s one of the worst feelings in the world. Glad to know that I’m not alone.
