On KK's Priest vs Judas Priest: NO! I won't do this! I said this several times already and I will do it again, but I feel like a grown up child of divorced parents... did I like the family we had? Of course! Will I go to both dinner parties when invited? YES! But I will never interfere with the parents' business and won't discuss one with another and will never allow myself to speak badly of them in public. And finally: I would never want them to get back together just for me and be miserable because of that. BUT... I know this is just my opinion, so you're ALWAYS welcome to voice yours

I guess this may be an unpopular opinion: I absolutely love what Judas Priest has done with Richie, he is a fantastic guitar player, fits perfectly in the band and the albums they have released after he joined have been some of my favorites after Painkiller. I also love what KK has been doing with Ripper here, sort of the same thing going back to their glory days and doing what they can do best - real heavy metal. I don't get it why people want it to be KK's Priest vs. Judas Priest, why not enjoy both? After all, we are now getting double the amount of Priest style heavy metal with great album after great album.🤘

A legendary guitarist, formerly of legendary band Judas Priest. He helped create metal, and his fingers dexteriously attacked the fretboard and left us listeners in awe! That was then, until the parting of ways. K.K. has his own band now. It is sad that he had a falling out with Judas Priest, and he recently said he would never play with his old bandmates again. I can't wait to hear this 2nd album!!! It should be killer!! Riff city!!

When the first two singles came out for this second album, I thought KK was gonna release either the first or the fifth song on the album, so that 4 singles in a row would be like his "greatest 4 block" of songs,
Freewheel Burning, Jawbreaker, Rock Hard Ride Free, the Sentinel
(4th single is the subsequent 4th song after One More Shot, Hymn 66)

It doesn't sound exactly like JP, but even current JP doesn't sound like JP. What KK's Priest does have is soaring high vocals (reminding me of young Rob), energetic band full of energy (reminding me of early JP), frantic solo's by KK (reminding me of early JP) and sick twin-leads (again reminding me of early KK-Tipton). So to me..not the same..but has most of the ingredients I used to love about JP before their current incarnation. Even when watching them play some classic Priest-tunes..it sounds more like JP used to in their glory days. Not dissing JP, but to me KK's Priest has way much more fire in the belly. Damn shame the didnt take KK back, he would have made a great team with Ritchie.

I think we meant it; packing in Judas Priest seemed a less attractive option by then. But for one reason or another, nothing happened to force us into serious action. Knowing our predicament, various people had been sending tapes for us to listen to for several months, but nothing concrete happened until Glenn finished his solo shit-which seemed to go on forever. Truth be told, his solo venture hadn’t made much of an impact, and when he was released from his contract at Warner, perhaps he thought, “Hmm, time to pick up the Judas Priest pieces, maybe?” As usual, I just kind of went along with it when we eventually made the decision to actively seek someone to take Rob’s place, and with that I started becoming a bit more enthusiastic about the idea of making music again. As a bit of momentum gathered, I spent more time back at England, going between Glenn’s and my house, feeling my way on a few ideas for new songs. The Priest juices were beginning to flow again. Uniquely, although the end of his solo project had triggered the re-forming, this cycle was being driven more by me than by Glenn. I’d been the player in Priest with the heavier taste and style, but that direction was always curtailed by what Glenn wanted. As was my way, I’d always given ground.”

All the cheezy Priest references are laughable and make them into Spinal Tap. Tim sings everything the same, even starting EVERY song with the same scream.
I wish JP would get an injunction forbidding KK from using any JP characters and trademarks. Any reference to JP song titles and The Sinner should be copyright infringement. Remember, Ken wouldn't have even started this if he hadn't failed at his golf course. He went broke, so is trying to suck as much out of JP as he can (which is funny because all I see as his contribution to JP is a bunch of whammy bar wankery noise solos; Ken was the guitarist in Priest that wasn't very good).
Ken, stop this joke. It's not funny anymore.

Ehh, KK needs to stop with retread titles and Ripper sounds annoying at times. When they play mean riffs, chugging along with more screams and melodic harmonies, dang they shine.

i dunno man...this is all sounds like something that didn't make the cut on painkiller. i love ripper, but this stuff is really cringeworthy to my ears.

I'm not a fan of Ripper, but KK's Sinner Ride's Again is better than Priest's Invincible Shield.
