At thrift stores I often grab things with lace to salvage the lace for other projects. Besides clothes, I've found some beautiful lace on pillow cases, table clothes and vintage doilies.

I have been turning a lot of my T-shirts. I haven't worn much into dresses by adding fabric I bought to make just a skirt to the shirt. I just put the shirt on mark where my waist is on the shirt, then cut the length I want my skirt to be. I have some with gather or soft box pleats for my skirt. They have turned out really nice.

Since you are sewing on knlt, it would probably be better to use a zig zag stitch. It has to have some give in the stitch.

Very True! That is definitely an option too. I didn't have any problems with the straight stich, but I have used a zig zag stick before with knit.

My scissors are Guggenheim! A gift from my mom who appreciates a great pair of fabric scissors! I made the pin cushion and love how it turned out. You can find it in my sewing playlist!

The moving of the iron on that patches after you explained NOT to move the iron made me nearly freak out. 😂
The yellow patches kinda get lost on the yellow shirt and I wouldn't have used those but rather different colors. But other than that it's a really cute idea. You probably could cover little holes with this too.

I guess it is just habit! I was moving it a little on the second set lol. Good point about the yellow ones.

120 c is 248 degrees. It's hot, but I don't think it is cotton setting hot. Just an FYI. I'll continue watching the video now. Lol

I recommend a walking foot and zigzag stitch on stretch fabric. Otherwise you will stretch it out of shape while sewing.

I might try one of those one day. Zig zag seems to be enough for now.

I am new to working with knit, so I will keep that in mind! Thank you for the tip.
