Congrats 🎉 on your finishes they look amazing 🤩
Love seeing your progress on your wips. Have a wonderful weekend and happy stitching 😊🧵🪡🤗🤩
Thanks Theresa! You have a great weekend as well.
Lovely finishes Amy. Lothlorian was one of my favourites. I'm stiching a HAED 25 count 2 over 1 tent stitch with DMC and enjoy it. I use easy grid or magic guide fabric to help. It did take a little bit of time to get used to but I prefer how speedier it is.
I hope you have a lovely christmas 🎄❄️
Thanks Melissa. I did love the speed of tent stitch, I just struggle to find my place in all the stitches sometimes.
Great job on your finishes! I’ve heard CXC is a nice floss, but it’s slightly thicker than DMC. That enables you to make different fabric choices for full coverage. I’ve seen people be pretty happy with 20 or 22 count 1 over 1 or 32 count 1 over 1 half stitch - both of which I find too sparse with DMC. So keep that in mind when choosing fabric for your new pattern. 25ct might be better than 28ct, for example. Also, I know Megan at Georgia Girl Stitches designed some different words for Quaker Pumpkin and I think she shared it online somewhere.
Good to know about CXC. I have a 25 count in stash that’s not big enough for my next HAED but I could use it to do some practice stitching to see how the CXC goes. Thanks!
Hi Amy! Nice to see all of your beautiful stitching. Congrats on those finishes! I love everything you've shown. I do struggle with tent stitch on full coverage as well. Which is odd, bc I have no issue with Dimensions half-stitches lol. I suspect it's mostly just a learning curve/change of perspective.
Thanks! For some reason I am just struggling to get my head around the tent stitch. Not sure if I keep going for a little longer or just give up now and switch to full cross.
Love seeing all of your full coverage pieces!! When you stitch on them with the q-snap do you have a stand that you use? Second - what are the bobbins that you use to keep the parked floss organized?
Georgia Girl Stitching changed the text on Quaker Pumpkins to "Autumn Harvest". She has the conversion free on her gumroad page.
Thanks Mia! I use a lowery stand, it lets me stitch 2-handed which certainly helps speed things up. The bobbins to wrangle the floss are called bob-eez and I got them off Amazon. I’ll check out Megan’s gum road for the conversion. Thank you!
