- 1/6th Scale USS ENTERPRISE Bridge 3d printed model made into Coffee table. (Room lights on video). ***Update: The maker of the 3D printed Bridge in this video is the work of Jeff and Kim McKelvy of 3DTrekker.com. They are great to work with. I offered a couple of suggestions that they incorporated into the model..but the overwhelming work and design of this beautiful and faithful recreation is theirs…they knocked it out of the park!
The Model is 1/6th scale and as you could imagine it’s huge. I was trying to figure out how to display such a large piece in my collection/man cave and it was my wife who came up with the idea of the coffee table.
So I designed the coffee table using plate/tempered glass for the table top…steel pipe, flanges and couplings for the support (glass weighs about 200 pounds) and had a reinforced wood base made with wheel castors to be able to move the table around when needed.
** Be sure to watch the 2nd video I uploaded of this awesome model. The room lights are off and there is an added ambiance to the presentation.
So basically the coolest coffee table ever.
So far.
But yeah. 🎉
Fascinante 🇧🇷
OMG! Even a moving starfield in the main viewing screen!!! MIND BLOWN!!! Excellent job!!!
Awesome!!! How much would one cost ?
This completely justifies buying a 3D printer. Awesome!
Its brilliant but One thing that could have made it even more awesome would have been to use a Android tablet as the viewer screen and play star field or other travelling through space video.
@@jbl0ggs it does have a screen doing just that, check around the 30 second mark.
And around 2:59 also
It takes a lot to make my jaw drop surfing on the web ... but this did it! Brilliant work!
A) Bravo!
B) Now I need one.
C) Thank you for also filming at the 'deck level' point of view.
I'm absolutely blown away by this. Speechless.
Are you even kidding me? This is absolutely amazing. I'm stunned and awestruck.
I WANT THAT TABLE!
Seriously, incredible work!
And I want it!!
@@eliasvoulgaris2461and me too!
@@richardmullens4707 Whatever. I still want it.
$10,000! do I hear 12? lol
i want it even more !
I didn't realize that was missing from my living room until just now I must have one 🤩
THE COOLEST coffee table EVER!!!!!
As a lifelong fan, this really hit me in the heart. I've had Trek around all of my life, and seeing a wonder like this come to be is beyond fantastic. My husband sent me the link because he knew I would utterly love it, and he's right. If I had room for one, I'd be on it right this instant. It is incredible in another way for me, since I am a long-time 1/6th scale enthusiast and I've made customized figures using highly articulated bodies. Truly, owning a bridge like this would be bliss!
This deserves to be in KRAMERS COFFEE TABLE BOOK..... winner.
And nacelles fold out to become legs
Lol 👍
It really does!!!
Lmao sure does 😂
Absolutely
I was prepared to be disappointed. Boy, was I WRONG! This is a lovely piece of craftsmanship. Hats off to all involved!
What could i say that everyone else has not. Beyond being stunned by this incredible creation (YES gotta have it!). This really emphasizes that Paramount, CBS, and Secret Hideout, have no clue when it comes to marketing Star Trek. It takes great fans who truly love the show to come up with idea's like this., and I thank them all, for keeping the dream alive.
What could you say that everyone has not? That it’s the wrong sound effect for that era of bridge.
Yeah…I’m “That guy”.
Its brilliant but One thing that could have made it even more awesome would have been to use a Android tablet as the viewer screen and play star field or other travelling through space video.
@@jbl0ggs Did you not actually watch the video? There is a moving starfield.
Well said Tom, I couldn't have said it better myself.
Both the Star Trek geek in me and the modern-furniture designer in me are incredibly impressed!! ‘So impressed that my mind is set on “STUNNED”….😯
The only coffee table on UA-cam that is purely interesting!
I am tired of logs impregnated with epoxy.
So you too have watched those epoxy videos! lol
Can’t escape them@@Tregrense
But what if the log belonged to a captain?
@@Mike-me3sp lol
What a brilliant idea to turn something that would otherwise be nice to look at but ultimately a very large dust-catcher into something that retains it's aesthetic while neatly stashing it away in the footprint of a table. Beautiful!!
I can totally see my cats squeezing between the glass top to get inside of it. Very cool.
Shields at maximum!
My cousin would buy this in a heartbeat. In the mid 70s he was building Enterprise models and putting little lights in them (something to kit did not include) before he was 10 years old.
Dude, that's pretty awesome. Amazing detail. I think any sci-fi fan would love this, not just those whose favor The Trek.
There was clearly a lot of thought went into that original bridge design, probably why it still looks so good. As for the model, one of the best things I've seen 3D printed, love all the working detail and the screen.
The detail on this model is incredible. A moving starfield on the main screen, the golden plaque, all the blinking lights. What a great piece of Star Trek kit. Loved all the trek photos on the walls too. A true fan. :)
Oh My Goodness look at the details!!!! That is beautiful!!!! Awesome work!!!!!
DUDE!!!!!
That is so bleeping awesome!!
The sound effects take it over the top!
This is crazy! Probably the coolest 3D print job on planet Earth!
The guys that make these are rad! They make them by hand, every individual light and piece. They take a month or more to make, but are WELL worth the wait!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
This is incredible. Several shots look so authentic I fully expected the turbolift doors to open and William Shatner to walk in.
I've seen things you wouldn't believe, attack ships on fire off the shoulder of Orion. I've seen a dude build a coffee table to blow my internal circuits on tilt. A wonderous , spectacular thing !
My goodness, that was amazing! Now all you need are some action figures of the crew!
Coffee table??? Obviously it’s a bridge table
😂 Well done
Yup. No more comments necessary. You’ve won this comment section.
Nice! 😂
I'm sure it could also be used for Poker. 🙂
VERY nice!
You, folks.... are GENIUSES to have thought of this!! I am in absolute AWE! BRILLIANT IDEA!!!!
The adult in me loves this !!!!
But the kid in me would be pissed that i would not be able to play with it , with the glass surrounding it !!!!
Its amazing and crul all at the same time !
You sir are a genius with a bit of a fun mean side 😂😂😂😂 its works !!!!
My goodness, you have a smart lady, this thing is perfect as a coffee table. Man, I wish there was an Enterprise D bridge.....
I might be the only one here to say "thank you!" to your wife for coming up with this excellent idea; it is a wonderful way to display this awesome model. Super well done!
As a lifelong ST devotee, I commend you. Cheers.
What a beauty! Wow! 😮❤❤❤
No Way, is that a Massoovuan Fried egg on the Bridge!!!😅🤣😂
But dammmm, what an awesome coffee table, 🥰🖖
Imagine a life sized replica! Wow! I love it!
One of the most AMAZING things I have ever seen on the web! Also, I love the classic Trek scene transition effect! Bravo!
What a cool table! Nicely done. I especially like the sound effects. It really "transports" you back. 😉
Wow! Such a brilliant & beautiful creation..💖
The sounds, the detail!
the view screen is even working showing stars moving.... nice.
Only THE most awesome coffee table in the history of humankind. Absolute genius. My hat is off to you. LLAP 🖖
What an absolute stunning work of art! Well done, RealGoldfinger, Jeff, and Kim! 👍
If the view screen showed episodes of star trek that would be insane. What an ingenious individual
I just watched a vid of the full size Trek sets at Neutral Zone Studios. They put a 100" TV in place of their view screen. So at 1/6 scale a 16-17" LCD TV or monitor would work. Those can be picked up at the thrift store cheap.
@@jimsteele9261the viewscreen looks too small in NY
Episodes can be viewed on the screen. The screen has a built in Fire Stick so literally anything can be played on it.
@@RealGoldfinger1701 man your awesome, this is a true work of art , are the 3d files files available or plans ?
@@RealGoldfinger1701double drool
This is insanely BEAUTIFUL! I thought I was the only person who loves to build HUGE sci-fi models! Live long and prosper!
This might be the coolest thing I’ve ever seen!!!
That is such an awesome piece of nerd furniture! Right down to the red alert light on the tactical console and the details on all displays even the non slip surfaces on the steps. Gonna kinda hard to watch TV with the lights on in the coffee table. You’ll keep catching yourself staring down into it for a while until you get used to it.😊
OMG what a stunning piece of art!!!
Hands down, the single most coolest table I have ever seen, and I have seen a whole bunch of them. I am going to save my nickels and get me one of these, presuming of course that they'll make one for me. Thank you for showing me their link.
WOW, I think this play set is more sophisticated than the original TV set! Very well done, amazing!
Now, that ROCKS!
A beautiful recreation of the 1701 Original series bride.
Absolutely marvelous! I am completely blown away by the extra fine attention to every little detail!
Also, I am HUGELY impressed by all of the working console lights, and the working view screen, too! Fantastic!
THIS, was clearly a labor of love, AND IT SHOWS! You have some extraordinary skills, and talent!
I can only offer my very highest compliments! 🍻✌
wow! All you need is the TOS cast sitting/standing at their stations!
There used to be Star Trek action figures - they’d probably fit right in (if you could find them)
They're about to be beamed aboard.
This made me grin like a child through the whole video. Fantastic!
That's awesome!
The brilliant creativity of people amazes me….
Imagine what could've been done if they had large 3D printer's back in the 1960's Great job.
Somebody had all-too-much fun on this project. Excellent!
Ok, that is the coolest maker item I have ever seen and the best trek oriented item I have seen in a long time. The mount of detail. Dude could sell this for a ton of cash….easy.
Clever suggestion by your wife. I would have never thought of that. It looks amazing!
AWESOME! 👌 👏 👍 😍
OMG! ...seeing this made my whole day! ...THANK YOU! 💋💋💋💋💋
Welcome…glad to see so many getting enjoyment out of these videos.
Now that's what I call a coffee table!
That is the coolest thing I've seen in a long time. I want one.
I have some star trek action figures that would look good in there!
Oh man, if only I could purchase or build that. Masterful
That is mind blowing. I'm glad to have able to see that
🎉
Is that the coolest damn thing I've ever seen. My childhood in a table.
Your detail is absolutely beyond awesome! It's totally apparent in what you've made that you love Star Trek!
Sooooo jealous! I want one!
Just amazing!... 😮👀❤️
Astounding! An important work of art 🎨 There's something very comforting about hearing the soundeffects too
This is magnificent, an absolute work of art. That said, some people have too much talent and too much time on their hands. The fact the console panel bulbs light up as well is worthy of George-esq "Oh my!"
Okay okay okay.....that may very well be the absolute coolest thing I have ever seen in my entire existence on this planet!!!!!!!
Love that table now all you need is the crew. Great job.❤😊🎉
Stunningly awesome!!! Love the background “noise,” sounds like a StarLog store from the mid 90’s!
This is one of the greatest things I've ever seen. I want one. 😮
This is just the most Awesome 3D recreation of the Enterprise bridge! I’m so impressed guys, you and the wife deserve an award of some kind. The idea wa very well put together and impressive. Thanks for showing how imagination can put together an iconic legendary legacy treasure.
Do you know what would be even more cool than this coffee table?… having your entire living room look exactly like the bridge!🥰 sound effects, and everything.
Sure would but the work involved ......
Only thing I would think about adding would be some figures of the bridge crew to make the sounds come alive just a little bit more…and perhaps even have the door to the turbo lift open and close with a person in there.
One of the few really badass things I've seen on UA-cam.
Very cool
Most Excellent! So much more rendered than many of the other bridge reconstructs I've seen.
Absolutely amazing. What a beautiful piece! I’d stare at for a long time.
Looks amazing. Like the real thing. Even the moiré display at the science station. I half expect the crew come walking through the doors at any moment.
That's the coolest table I've ever seen!!!
that is incredible. what a great idea and the execution is fantastic.
I want one! That is so cool.
This feeds into my love of *Star Trek* and my love of *Minutures* ❤❤❤
I would love to have that in my living room. Brilliantly done. 👍
I tip my hat sir! Great Job, even the Pin wheel thingamajig is animated 👍
When i started watching this video, my jaw dropped ! Fantastic recreation of the Enterprise bridge .
I salute you .
YOU JUST MADE THEM A NEW CUSTOMER THANKS SO VERY MUCH ❤
Incredible. And the sounds with the sonar pinging. Good job!
The work and love that must of gone into that.Truly amazing.
I always loved that bridge set. This just makes me appreciate the design all the more. Great job!
That is way beyond awesome!!!!!
Way cool, make me want to become a Trekkie 👍
