Paul Rodriguez, also known as “P-Rod” was recognized as a prodigy at the young age of 14, only two years after he started skating. His consistency, effortless style and persistence on his board led Paul to travel far from his home town of Northridge, CA to the City Streets around the world as a part of the legendary City Stars team. His passion for skating and filming with his friends led to his breakout part in Logic 6 in 2000, Street Cinema in 2001 and landed him Rookie of the Year in 2002 for his part in Tranworld’s video production “In Bloom.” He turned pro later that year.
Paul bought his first skateboard at the age of 12. When he’s not skateboarding, Paul enjoys studying the lives of influential individuals, including his favorites such as Alexander the Great and Bruce Lee.

Admittedly I haven't kept track of all the Primitive board series but to my knowledge I can't remember or believe you haven't done a series with cave paintings or petroglyphs, it would be so sick to have the series feature actual Primitive artwork and have it correspond to the riders general area they grew up in or just their country or heritage

I think it’s so insane that Prods able to set up a new complete like every couple weeks I had my same pair of trucks wheels and bearings for the past like 4 years
I also ride trucks and wheels for years. I skate probably once a week for an hour each time.
Therefore, Paul probably skates as much as I skate in six months in one day, haha. So his board switch timing makes more sense when I think of it that way.
Days, Bro. Like 3-4 days he changes them. Not weeks….

So the Bones have a few different bearing “models”. The reg REDZ have red shields. The Super’s are black, the Big Balls, Ceramic, & Swiss have different colors I’d like to say.

I love that Paul is aware of him changing board setups but decides to give them to kids or whoever At least he is not throwing them in the trash, don't think that's spoiled I bet everyone that could get the chance to do the same will be changing their boards pretty quickly

Tell him David Damaso sent you his way. when I walked into his garage about 10 years ago, he had hundreds of his old boards. he might have the biggest collection, if he still has them all.@@Prod84skate

I remember when I was younger and skating by your old spot Albertsons and Holmes middle school. I was at a 7 eleven on nordoff and balboa and your gf at the time pulls up and gave me one of your brand new boards. She even drove us to your house in the neighborhood to meet you but you weren’t home at the time.

The Nike SB commercial with Ice Cube was my go to skateboard video on youtube when I was a kid and Paul my favourite skater. Skating always looked so effertless and fun when watching him. Happy I found this channel now, the videos are great!

i needed these videos 15 years ago. at least i have them now. speaking of the twin nose, girl is killing it with those right now. first company to actually produce an 8.38 has my money for the long term....which i know is what he is skating right now...even went as far to email primitive who then said "fall 23" but i think we're already beyond that.
Supreme has a deck 8.378 or something close to that. The deck is only like $60-$70
Are you wanting a twin 8.38? That's what Ishod uses, and only sold as a slick. While Real usually does a run sometimes they might make the same 8.38 twin slick for Bobby Worrest under Krooked.

I remember when I was a young lad. Justin Eldridge gave me his old deck and it had a huge es sticker on the bottom and I rode that deck to the bitter end. I felt so tech like after getting that deck and probably excelled my skating allot.

Didn't know you didn't have a wheel sponsor, Bones Formula X is one hell of a formula, hope they decide to do something with because I'd be all over that! I've been riding the Powell-Peralta Dragons and they really changed the game for me, able to skate shit asphalt but still powerslide unlike with usual cruiser wheels. I like the Formula X too but the ground up here in Canada sucks a lot of places settled on the Dragons. Would be interested in your take on those formulas, if you ever need a video idea ;)
"Why not" ~ Talking about keeping your old setups, I'm the same way, I always retire them just a little early for me which lets me give them to people that need something but can't afford it. I think there's a dozen of my old Flight decks floating around town now 😅 That said, if I ever get my hands on a signed prod deck, its going on the wall!
New shoes, old board, or old shoes and a new board, can't do it any other way. New shoes on a new board is just too much grip for me.
About those bearings, unless they're doing something different down there, Reds are red, super reds are black, they just do that to differentiate them. Honestly though, I've run both those and the Swiss Precision, and always just end up back on regular reds. I pop them all in a few weeks anyways ...

sometimes its not aboot "spoiled" for me its about pop , I used to luv the fresh pop of a fresh board, I wasnt pro I was sponsored flow for a shop before I had an work accident that disabled me for life, but I get paul I do and when I could I would set up a freshy and that clean snap sound and feel is like no other
