Do you not worry about parasites in the salmon? I’ve always been tempted but avoided it. I’ve always thought most large fish aren’t used for fish food because they tend to have parasites and heavy metals (from being higher in the food chain). I’ve noticed most hikari and northfin foods are made from small fish.
That was a slice of heaven. The narration, visuals and sweet, sweet rhythms of SV was a dopamine hit of the most wholesome variety. I've got a new tank to scape tomorrow, and this was inspirational. I have a butt load of java, anubias and simple ole japonica and can only dream of creating a setup like this. Nicely done :)

Damn Chris, you have become such a good storyteller. This reminded me of keeping fish simple recent video "The Life Cycle of a Pea Pufferfish". You guys are taking the hobby especially the content creation with superb visuals to great heights. Truly appreciated!!! ❤

Peeps don't mind feeding fresh/ frozen brine, flakes and pellets full of fish meal, but go artisanal and feed your critters fresh fish and you're all the sudden promoting cannibalism...😅✌️ Edit; loach zoomies are the best!! Those chilli Rasbora weren't looking down on the loaches, they're just jealous their weird cult religion forbids the zoomies. 😉

2:35 ohmy! this one could be a red cherry "rili var. blue" they have a slightly blue color in their colorless parts, they can evolve to "blue jelly" blue shrimp, it's amazing! hopefully you get to that stage one time, it's so interesting to watch them
Completely forgot about loaches. Will need a 2nd no filter tank now 🙂 . My current one started as an experiment, still doing great after 1,5 years, but it's only about 25 liters.
as a person with 19 kuhli loaches, i am horrified that you only have one. i have begun to search for your home. i will find it, and wiggle my way through your defenses to liberate thine loach from its solitary confinement and place it in the loving loach family i have so it may never be lonely again. just you wait…….
Your tanks are my dream tanks, I’m going to start a new tank and I want to keep guppies and nerite snails for it, you motivate me so much, I plan to breed them one day and sell them to a fish store.

I have a gaggle of native sunfish that I sometimes feed those small salad shrimp. they love it.
I give much smaller pieces to my fish, but they still tend to fowl the water. I normally have to do a water change the next day or clean the filter.
This narration just cured my depression
