I don't care about how good it is, we have no way to know that yet. The J-35A is absolutely fucking beautiful. It has smoother lines and more rounded wing tips almost like the F-22. The 2 engines and wide set vertical stabilizers, along with the overall flatter profile also looks better than a single engine I think. The HUD is also good from an aesthetics standpoint in my opinion. It's almost as pretty as the F-22.
@@imfromisrael489 Not really. The J-35 is a fair bit pointier and the front isn't as "tall". The aircraft just isn't as fat. That is not to say the F-35 is worse. It's almost certainly better, but I don't think it looks all that similar to the J-35 from any aspect.
What's most interesting at this stage is that J35A has a long enough internal bay to house the very long PL-15, which will give the Chinese a lot more room to improve air to air missile range.
Key point here- with a far shorter operational range needed for Taiwan- China is doubling down on this advantage and able to focus on better tradeoffs. In the context of a lightning strike on Taiwan, all China has to do is to hold the US at a distance
@@johng8837 Holding the USA at a distance is easy with the DF-17, DF-21, DF-26, DF-27 and YJ-21 ASBMs. The carrier launched F-35Cs don't have the range to to reach Taiwan when out of the Chinese ASBM range. So the US carriers would be impotent and cannot help ROC. US carriers might as well stay in port.

The J-35's induction is to increase the size of China's fifth-generation fighter fleet. Its naval variant is highly advanced, while the A-type (Air Force variant) is designed for a lower cost and high production. Five to six years ago, when procurement plans were being considered, the U.S. announced its goal of having 1,500+ F-35s by 2030. Therefore, the Chinese Air Force's objective is to ensure its fifth-generation fleet reaches an equivalent scale.

The J from J35 is Jian which means annihilate, so the name basically means annihilate 35. I don't need to tell you which 35 the Chinese aims to annihilate.
@HailAzathoth jianjiji just means "fighter plane" so they use a "J" as opposed to English "F" for Fighter plane. And yes "jian" means to destroy, wipe out, etc. So in the literal sense it is "wipe out 35", but it got nothing to do with it.

Couple of points. The WS-13 engines fitted on the J-35A are placeholders for the WS-19 that’s still in development. When in service it will have significantly more thrust than the F-35, and likely full supercruise capability. As for the range, due to the use of composites and 3D printing during the construction process, the airframe is likely significantly lighter than the F-35, and will also leave more room for fuel. It’s understood that the range will sit somewhere between that of the F-35, and that of the J-20. Finally, there was a model of the J-35 at the air show carrying 6 of the cropped PL-15 missiles internally, so we can be fairly confident that will be an option.
Whether it's fighter jets or warships, they are all products of modern heavy industry. Western countries have a total industrialized population of around one billion, and now China has also fully industrialized, with an industrial population of 1.4 billion. So, it is quite natural for Chinese fighter jets, as industrial products, to catch up with or even surpass those of the United States and other Western nations. We can see this in another great example of industrial achievement-the automotive industry. In terms of quality, appearance, and innovation, Chinese-made cars have already reached the level of Western automotive industries.
Western countries production capacity is 100x less than China's so China has them beat in every way. Europe is useless and the USA is almost as useless.

As for 2:27, Isn’t China’s Rocket Force is largely tasked with threatening U.S. bases in regions like Japan and the Philippines, while the Chinese Air Force’s primary mission is closer to home, focused on defending China’s immediate territory and airspace?
Rocket force is meant to weaken US logistics and Air power in the region. Naval aviation and Air force are still meant to threaten US bases with standoff weapons as well as project power up to the first island chain. Relying solely on long range missiles is not enough to threaten US logistics severely, they have big limitations in flexibility, quantity, payload and precision in comparison to aviation weapons. But indeed their most important task is to keep Western aviation at bay.
@@itsmederek1 Well you are right, but you have to consider that by the time the Rocket Force has targeted a significant portion of U.S. assets in the Indo-Pacific, China’s naval and air forces (PLAN and PLAAF) would likely have the firepower needed to exert pressure on and potentially overwhelm U.S. forces in the region. Given the extended distance, U.S. reinforcements would require substantial time to arrive, which could further limit their immediate effectiveness in countering Chinese advances.

For those who accusing stealing or copying. For the aerodynamic design of modern fighter jets, there are very few existing technological approaches. The few examples, such as lift-body fuselages and strake wing designs, all follow the basic existing theories. These theories lead to similar aerodynamic designs. Similarly, stealth design for fighter jets also follows the same principles. This doesn’t necessarily mean outright copying; rather, it’s the result of using shared foundational theories. All the car are use cylinders, doesn’t mean they are same. For a complex engineering project, apart from aerodynamic design, the avionics, stealth design, weapon systems, and data transmission are all different. This principle is even more true!

The US would be at a great disadvantage against China in a war for Taiwan. First, I do not believe that the US will perform offensive operations against targets inside of China, or against their navy, because that would be an act of war and the danger of such a war escalating into a nuclear conflict is far to higher than any US leader would be willing to take. Taiwan is 9 minutes flying time from the Chinese mainland, and the Chinese navy can flood the area around the island with Chinese warships. As for the F-35 itself, before the war even starts, they will all be broken. Why do I say that? I say that because if China builds up, the US would have to put up a lot of combat air patrols and keep a number of aircraft in the sky to be ready for the quick response, or the war would be over before they got there. Now since China can just build up and does not have to keep planes in the air, in two to three weeks, the F-35s would all be broken. The F-35 has a very poor fully mission capable rate and any sensor or coating issue makes the plane incapable of fulfilling its stealth mission, and these are common problems that would be accelerated if these planes had to be in continuous service. Also, there are no war ready engines for the F-35, and are not expected to be until 2030. It is the proximity of Taiwan to the Chinese coast that presents the US with an almost impossible scenario unless it abandon's its No First Strike policy, but to do so and attack a China that is not attacking us would be the opening of world war 3.
The planes wouldn’t be broken they would be under maintenance along with that they have higher performance meaning less planes can do the same goal. A greater threat is that American planes would be all over the world rather than just in Pacific same thing with the nato planes being in Europe. Thirdly the America would have offensive operations that’s how war works unless you mean America starts with an offensive.

The datas about J-35 in the video is the older aircraft, J-31. J-35 is the updated J-31. One of the major difference is J-35 has more powerful engines. J-31 use WS-13, it has the maximum thrust 9300kg. J-35 use WS-19, it has the maximum thrust over 10000kg. Chinese use the most advance wind tunnel to redesign the aircraft. As a result, the maximum speed increase to M2.2. The range increase too. Maximum combat radii 1250km. Superior than F-35. The reason they changed the name from F-31 to F-35 is because in Chinese, the word Jain is mean kill or destroy. This aircraft is designed to kill F-35.
Compared to F-35, J-20 is already found to be a less stealthy aircraft according to a 3rd party CAD study done on Aircraft 101. So will J-35 be any different? More likely not but only time will tell.

I don't think that's compared with the F-35 using the new GE engine upgrade. Apparently the new advanced cycle GE engines will have a higher top speed, and much more range/efficiency.
The AETP is not being pursued though, because it’s not compatible with the STOVL version. Instead they’re going to upgrade the F135. I think, the US should have kept these programs separate: one for the air force and navy, and one for the marines.
Not sure where you are getting this idea from. F-35 has more focus on smoothing edges and conforming around sensors. Not to mention the RAM is highly classified and supposedly allows F-35 to have a lower radar cross-section than F-22. China has done a good job it seems, but they are not the leader from the information that is available.

J-35 is made for exports too. So export orders may slowdown it's induction in PLAAF/N. Pakistan's PAF has already confirmed order for J-35s and expecting their deliveries as soon as possible.
Pakistan always buys up Chinese manufactured arms, it would be interesting to see if any other nation outside of Chinese influence would put up orders, for example Brazil or say Morocco .

@aquilesca5tr0 I don't know for sure. But you can search for Chinese defense importer's list. And that list of customers are growing. For example the potential of J-35 customers might be Pakistan, Bangladesh, Thailand, Iran, Egypt, Azerbaijan, Argentina, oil rich countries of GCC etc etc. And any other country where US F-35 can't be sold as the rest of the 5th gen fighters are currently underdevelopment and aren't available for sale now. Pakistan air force has confirm orders, Iranian air force delegation is showing interest in Chinese fighters like J-10C. There are only 3 5th Gen fighters which can be sold today in the global market. US F-35, Chinese J-35 and to some extent Russian Su-57. Russia still has to prove it's industrial capability to credibly mass produce 5th gen fighter with good enough tolerances. The next best options would be South Korean KAI KFX and Turkish TAI TFX Kaan which are still in prototype phase. KFX can't be sold to anyone who isn't already US ally and US approves of that to happen. TF-X can't be sold out of Turkiye untill they successfully make their own engines to go with it. If your country has an adversary with lots of 4th, 4.5 and/or some 5th gen fighters then what option do you have apart from the F-35? Obviously the Chinese one
The J-35 is exactly how F-35 wanted to look like. J35 is 2.2 Mach, F35 is 1.8 Mach. J35 radar detection range 250 km, F35 200 km. Radar reflection J35 is 25 times smaller than F35. Go figure the rest. J35 looks somewhat similar to F35. However, F35 is too heavy, too fat, too slow, combat radius too short, weapon bay too little, air to air missile range too short, fuel tank is too little, no super cruise capability, not to mention engines failures too often. Chinese J35 help US corrects all these problems and it beats F35 in every way. F22 also can hardly be upgraded to adopt latest technology. Meanwhile J-20 have lots of upgrade potential. Its latest version J-20B is considerably more capable than its first version. Unlike F-22 China has been continuously chucking out J-20B,J-20S… It’s already at the north of 300. By mid 2025 it will be twice as many J-20 as F-22. Not to mention the latest electronic warfare version of the J-20S is used for the drone host, because the J-20S has 2 seats, one person controls the aircraft and the other controls the drone swarm. In the future, one J-20S will lead a swarm of 20 CASC Rainbow drones to fight. How do F22 and F35 attack J-20S and J-35? @@Gernsbacker J-35 was introduced as prototype in 2012 as the name of J-31. This J-35A is a finished and refined jet that clearly looks at it's final stage of development. There are many photos of J-35A in the internet since the last 3 years. This jet is not something new and China might already have several squadrons battle ready. This J-35A jet was obviously developed faster than the construction of Aircraft carrier type 003 to match up the deployment date for upcoming Taiwan war.
Keep in mind the PLAAF has initially rejected the J-31 (when it was still called like that), and was satisfied with the prospect of operating the J-20 in the low hundreds. But recent geopolitical changes and the smell of war in the air made them realize that they need quantity - quickly. The J-35A is not as good as the J-20 and also not as good as the naval J-35, lacking some capabilities like supercruise and multirole that the PLA navy put on their requirements, but it offers a really cheap and easy way to bolster numbers quickly. And each equipped with six PL-16 (the rumored domestic name of the folded fin and improved PL-15E shown in the airshow), the J-35A will be a very effective backbone fighter, fulfilling the role of the current J-10C.
Key word here is mass production and resupply, Chinese air defence and surface to air missiles covers the entirety of Taiwan. Meaning the moment a Taiwanese plane take off, or an American plane entering Taiwanese airspace and depending on its altitude it can be imminently targeted from facilities located in the mainland which are hidden in the coastal mountains and forest. America can choose to see its carrier but the cost of one carrier is equivalent to tens of hundred of missiles and not to mention the lost of fighter planes, train pilot and crew number over 1000s. Meaning on a cost perspective it would be worth it for China to spam missiles on any and or American naval group entering there range.

Maybe before jumping to assumptions about people posting you should learn a bit about this subject first. Or, you know, assume everyone talking to you is 18 from your vaunted 40 years of age...mate.
@@RichardsMiscCorner No, the US won't do that. However, the US won't be fighting exclusively with F-22/F-35 either...nor will they be fighting alone (Japan currently has over 100 F-35s of various models...Australia has over 50 as well, IIRC). And, as I noted in the first post, the CCA is still going ahead, and in the timeframes the video is talking about when/if China can ramp up production to 150 J-35s per year (assuming they can), the CCA will be producing at least that if not more (we won't even get into the number of F-35s the US currently produces, nor the fact that those in service are being upgraded with more capabilities). And all this assumes China can do any of this, produce the planes, that they aren't crap, and they can train and incorporate all of this into a coherent doctrine...all of which I'm skeptical of. There are a ton of other issues being glossed over...these are just the highlights.
Even if the PLAF managed to slim down their PL-15, expanding the interior ordnance carriage and upgrading the weapons interface would be necessary. I expect to see this in the 2nd gen J-35 but not the current iterration. Not only would that require an engineering workaround for weight displacement, but the actual weapons would have to be able to be miniaturized while keeping potency and range. It'll happen, but probably not for another 6-8 years.
China did not copy Western "technology" because we belong to the same universe and must follow the same physical laws.🤣Aerodynamics and radar reflection determine the aerodynamic layout of the fighter aircraft This is not decided by Americans
By copy it doesn't mean the schematics and blueprints of the Western technology itself. China did copy the concept of stealth. The military approach to tackle your opponent. The idea of low observable technology. The idea of stealth was device by the USA during the cold war after realizing the USA can never win against the USSR, as their fighter jets were better in dog fights and their missiles keep improving.
@@ajaykumarsingh702 You don't own concept. If you try to go to court because someone made a good product because to had the idea in the your head you will be lol at.
Im sure the J-35 is only meant for carrier use and export as of now. All land operations should be given to J-20, so range usually should not be an issue
According to CTnewz from Taiwan, J-35A has a new engine WS-19 which is more powerful and longer range than F-35. Wonder if your highlighted apecs are the latest or outdated as compared to the appearance and changes seen on the jet in Zhuhai Airshow 2024.
it doesn’t have it yet and the WS-13’s are seen as insufficient considering they’re somewhat anemic thrust for a 5th generation and lack of stealth. at the moment they are being redesigned and on this side of the internet i could not find an ETA on the better engines or when the ws13 will be reconfigured. this is a extremely common problem with non us stealth designs in their infancy
As a Chinese I really appreciate this channel and please Binkov, next time make video saying Chinese warfare’s 200 years behind US, do please, thank you😂😂 love to see netizens talking BS like idiots while CIA is freaking out😂😂
Idk why Chinese fanboys in other comment sections try to deny that the stolen US F-35 data helped them refine aspects both of their new aircraft. I think that’s a testament to how impressive their espionage tactics are. They still put in the massive amount of R&D work required.
the amount of patents and phd research papers published by China is more than 8 to 10 times that of US. In the next 10 years there will be no difference between China and US miitary tech and even might be better from US.
Personally I don't buy their reports just based on physical dimensions alone. I've spent 25 years in aviation, I know how large fuel tanks are and how much space you need for munitions even if the are small diameter. Incidentally, AESA is a type of radar array, it says nothing to the output capability or its resolution.
Seeing that Japan has more F35's than has J35's and the US hasore F35's in the inventory than china has 4th or 5th gen fighters id say no one is losing sleep
Specs are from the FC31. Outdated info. The J35A, the reason for the "A" is, it is equipped with the new WS19 engines, about 12KN each. Max. Speed 2.2 mach. and can supercruise.
range is said to be 4000km with combat radius of 1500 to 2000km. J35 was designed to be air superiority fighter while F35 is multi-role fighter bomber but with limited load out due to internal weapons bay. Slim line shape of J35 is for enhanced stealth and aerodynamics for maximum speed. The bloated F35 is to fit VTOL hardware for F353B.
A refers to the Air Force version. J35 is designed as carrier-based aircraft. In order to increase the demand and share the cost, a simplified exportable version of J35 is used for the Air Force and the export version, named J35-A.
When i first saw it. I thought it looked like the f35 should. Till i saw the belly, and the two engines... looks great from the top and front. But its just another toy. A twin engine jet that size? Id take the f35 any day.

The AETP is not being pursued though, because it’s not compatible with the STOVL version. Instead they’re going to upgrade the F135.

Chinese engines are absolute garbage that often breakdown compared to American engines that you can see from open data they are the most reliable.

The F22 can hit balloons, and the F35 can swim underwater. These are capabilities that Chinese fighter jets do not have.

Assuming the CCA goes forward, I don't think the Chinese J-35 is going to be that big a threat to the US until the mid to late 30's, and by then, who knows where things will stand? @@dontdeletemeyoutube6689 Sadly for you I'm in my late 60's. :p Sorry, but 10 years is a LONG time these days wrt tech and technological change in the military. And those assumptions in this video are ASSUMPTIONS. China is currently having a lot of issues with their economy, there is no guarantee they can even maintain their current spending levels wrt military. Since they constantly lie and exaggerate their military hardware capabilities, it's difficult to even gauge what they have wrt Western military equipment. Then there is the training aspect. Even IF this aircraft lives up to the hype, it will take them over that decade to train the people and to incorporate this system into a coherent tactical and strategic doctrine to combat the US...who has been doing stealth for a significantly longer time. Maybe before jumping to assumptions about people posting you should learn a bit about this subject first. Or, you know, assume everyone talking to you is 18 from your vaunted 40 years of age...mate.
Except: the US wouldn't send every single fighter it had to fight China.

A refers to the Air Force version. J35 is designed as carrier-based aircraft. In order to increase the demand and share the cost, a simplified exportable version of J35 is used for the Air Force and the export version, named J35-A.
I see the comments section represents an accurate representation of the viewership :p

Many Westerners are upset that the world slipping from their fingers.
When i first saw it. I thought it looked like the f35 should. Till i saw the belly, and the two engines... looks great from the top and front. But its just another toy. A twin engine jet that size? Id take the f35 any day.
The underestimation of China has come to light
i mean they have a couple prototype J-35 that wont enter service for years. Over 1000+ F-35s have already been produced.

China has 300+ J-20 deployed, ready for war right at this moment and hundreds of stealth drone to support back the rest of their air-force.
Meanwhile USA only have 600+ F-35 for it's own air-force and other units were exported to other allied nations.
While USA lacks sufficient support structure, air bases and resources to deploy every F-35 it has near China.
China has all of it's jets deployed...well...in China.
So the odds are pretty bad for the USA, especially when North Korea and Russia are around that region too.
Taiwan is toast, just admit it already.
